How to create an file with graphs and tables (instruction manual) in one language and create afterwards many different linked copies where just the language should be manually changed? While editing the original (graphs etc..) the copies now should change the same way except the language.
View 5 RepliesI'm having trouble trying to figure how to create a mini TOC in a book. The content of the book is divided in 6 files.
Sample of how it looks likes
1) - Front cover (Pg 1)
2) - EN (Pg 2-20)
3) - SE (Pg 21-40)
4) - DE (Pg 41-60)
5) - FR (Pg 61-80)
6) - ES (Pg 81-100)
From file 2-6 they have their own TOC. Simple and it works, since each file have their own list.
I'm trying to create a small TOC on the front cover telling me each page numbers for each language file/chapter.
EN............2-20
SE..........21-40
DE..........41-60
FR..........61-80
ES........81-100
At the moment, I do it manually. But, maybe there is no simple solution....
I have tea labels I want to label for Canada, but don't know how to change the text into Canadian French... Illustrator says it has that language, how do I use it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to create a street art style stencil graphic to put on a t-shirt using Illustrator (note, not an actual stencil for spray painting, just the visual effect of one). I was able to make something similar in photoshop, but pixelation issues lead me to attempt a vector style graphic. The overlying "stencil" image is a complex vector object and the underlying "paint" layer is a series of semi-transparent paint splatter vector groups to get a more textured effect. I am doing it this way because, I have not been able to find any graffiti style brushes that work the same way as those in photoshop. The problem I am having is that when I attempt to make a clipping mask of these objects to be left with just the desired "paint" areas, there is a message about the complexity of this operation, and the result is total disappearance of all the objects, except for their paths. better way to get a vector graffiti stencil effect with texture?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI do prepress work for a label manufacturer/printer, and all of our trapping is currently done manually. The art files we work with continue to grow in their complexity, and doing all the trapping manually can sometimes be quite difficult and incredibly time consuming.
I know that Illustrator has a built-in trapping option, but it doesn't allow for a whole lot of control. I've played around with a demo of PowerTrapper (from Esko), but it's fairly pricy, and I haven't been able to get my boss to bite yet. Any plugins that handle trapping.
Is there a folder/file where illustrator stores unsaved/recovered documents that I can open/run manually?

I have a huge problem , the Text we used in Revit was Architxt but in Autocad it shows all the text in Ariel font and AutoCad won't let me change it to Architxt again, so far it is fine I can deal with that. the problem is I tried to create a new Architxt text style in Autocad but it shows as Arial font. now all my our projects are missed up , the text shows in Arial font.

I don't want to create a table on a sheet, I want to define a new style and then assign the style to the existing table.
I have no problem assigning the style once it is defined in the drawing to the existing table.

There doesn't seem to be a TableStyles collection with an add or create event. I stumbled upon the "TableFormat" object but that seems to only override an existing style.
looked at the "StylesManager" but again I am not finding a create method.
I'm using Inventor 2013 and I'm trying to create a new dimension style that shows a box or parenthesis rather than a dimension. The purpose is so the workers in the field can measure a part and fill in the dimension.
So far the best I can do is make a dimension style that is white so that it comes out as a space. The other option was to manually override the dimension, but I don't want to go into every drawing and change every dimension.
What I would truly like is if the dimension would automatically come out looking like this [ ]
