Nov 5, 2007i'm trying to type chinese or even copy and paste chinese articles into InDesign, using the text boxes, but everything just shows up as little boxes, each character is a little rectangular box.
i noticed that there were dictionaries in the preferences settings and i tried to change fro the English dictionary to chinese but there isnt' one and there doesn't seem to be an option for not having a dictionary on either.
i can type chinese in photoshop as well as Illustrator......what do i have to do with InDesign?

Mar 12, 2012I am typing in Farsi which is a right-to-left language. What I see in the monitor is correct. Words appear from right-to-left. But when I print, Entire sentence appears from left-to-right.
This happens even if I print to PDF file. So it is not a problem with printer.

Apr 7, 2014I'm having trouble trying to figure how to create a mini TOC in a book. The content of the book is divided in 6 files.
Sample of how it looks likes
1) - Front cover (Pg 1)
2) - EN (Pg 2-20)
3) - SE (Pg 21-40)
4) - DE (Pg 41-60)
5) - FR (Pg 61-80)
6) - ES (Pg 81-100)
From file 2-6 they have their own TOC. Simple and it works, since each file have their own list.
I'm trying to create a small TOC on the front cover telling me each page numbers for each language file/chapter.
EN............2-20
SE..........21-40
DE..........41-60
FR..........61-80
ES........81-100
At the moment, I do it manually. But, maybe there is no simple solution....
Photoshop :: Extended Trial Version Launching After Updating CS Design Standard To Version 13.0.2?
Dec 14, 2012I installed the retina display-optimized update to my purchased (non-Creative Cloud) version of Photoshop Design Standard (via the Adobe Updater app that pops up in my menu bar only when updates are available), but now when Photoshop launches, I get Photoshop Extended (and it's a trial version). Is this a known issue? Will I need to reinstall Photoshop?

Nov 15, 2013I have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

May 13, 2013I cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.

Oct 14, 2013Immediately after installation of PS CS6 the application correctly detected my grafics adapter AMD HD7750 and in the PS GPU settings the grafic processing unit support was activated. Now this option is deactivated and cannot be activated any more. PS6 states that using this feature is not supported by the standard edition, what is surprising as I had installed the same edition on my notebook (with a AMD radeon HD7400M) and there it works fine, and initially it had worked on my PC, too.
On my PC the last action I can remember was to attach a second monitor to the DVI port of the onboard grafics card Intel HD4600. (my system has as well an Intel card onboard and an AMD Sapphire PCIe grafics card)The windows primary desktop is assigned to the first monitor which is connected via DVI with the AMD HD7750 card.Would you recommend to uninstall and reinstall PS CS6 on the PC or is another easier solution for this problem available ?

Jun 12, 2008Recently we upgraded from CS to CS3 but for the life of me, I can't find any COM assemblies (Interop DLLs) to use in CS3 for automating Photoshop.
Anyone knows if this is removed? Or is it included in certain versions of CS3 like the extended one?
I need this to be able to compile one of our tools from CS to CS3.
Photoshop :: Raw Image Support From LR 4.3 To CS4
Dec 29, 2012I upgraded to LR4.3 and CS4. When I open a raw image in CS4 from LR4.3, the image quality is horrible. A message appeared that I need camera raw plugin 7.3, however, this is not available for CS4. Is there a solution to this problem or do I need to upgrade to CS6?
