Illustrator :: Welcome Sign - Text In Different Languages
Jun 18, 2013
I am creating a 'welcome' sign for a client and need to be able to type the word 'welcome' in different languages. I am using illustrator and have tried to change the input sources through the system preferences menu but this is not working. Is there an easy way I can do this ?
I have some text blocks in Illustrator CS 6 that display the red plus sign that indicates overset text but there is no overset text. It occurs in files that were created with earlier versions of Illustator and now we are reworking them. It can't be deleted. I have cut the text in the box and pasted it into a new text box to no avail. It is not a screen artifact. I have tried copying everything in the file and pasting it into a new file and the little red plus sign comes along. It doesn't print, of course.
I have tea labels I want to label for Canada, but don't know how to change the text into Canadian French... Illustrator says it has that language, how do I use it?
I am typing in Farsi which is a right-to-left language. What I see in the monitor is correct. Words appear from right-to-left. But when I print, Entire sentence appears from left-to-right.
This happens even if I print to PDF file. So it is not a problem with printer.
How to create an file with graphs and tables (instruction manual) in one language and create afterwards many different linked copies where just the language should be manually changed? While editing the original (graphs etc..) the copies now should change the same way except the language.
I have been away from Autocad for around 6 years but just got back into it this week and now have the 2010 version.I like the "arctext" command, but it will only let me do text on convex curves and I need it to do text on concave curves for a sign I want to make..What can I do?
Whenever I draw an integral sign (using paintbrush tool) for those math savvy people know that the symbol is an elongated "S".
I am writing a document using the paintbrush tool because I want to convert hand written notes into PDF using illustrator because there are alot of scientific illustrations.
When I write math notes and write the integral sign the following appears in the image below. It is like half of the end of the elongated ends become "half-filled" instead of one nice vector stroke (see image below). How do I stop it from doing that ?
I am trying to make a circular sign with text inside it that follows the contour of the circle. Half of the text will be on the top and half on the bottom.
I downloaded a patch off the internet for my Photoshop CS 8.0. It changed it to Italian. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail. Did I make a registry entry or something? How do I fix this? I am using XP Professional.
In CS6, will the English version of InDesign still require purchasing a separate program for Japanese, or will it be able to handle both? CS5 and earlier could only handle the most rudimentary of typesetting tasks for Japanese.
i'm trying to type chinese or even copy and paste chinese articles into InDesign, using the text boxes, but everything just shows up as little boxes, each character is a little rectangular box.
i noticed that there were dictionaries in the preferences settings and i tried to change fro the English dictionary to chinese but there isnt' one and there doesn't seem to be an option for not having a dictionary on either.
i can type chinese in photoshop as well as Illustrator......what do i have to do with InDesign?

Why is Adobe Japan's Academic Photoshop CS Extended only available in the Japanese language? Adobe is an international company with Photoshop available in almost 2 dozen languages. There should be a choice of language for Academic versions no matter where one lives.
Im trying to deploy AutoCAD 2013 multi language. English + German.
I have included the Service Pack 1.1 and the plain english deployment is working find via the admin image.
Then downloaded the german language pack here: [URL].......
Plus the recommended hotfix on the page:
We are also providing a "hotfix" for Autodesk Content Explorer at the bottom of this download page, required after installing an AutoCAD 2013 language pack.
Uninstalling old Content Explorer + installing Language pack works(as depoyment package). But then Im stucking at this hotfix
How do I create an admin image or install it silent. Nothing seems to work.
When you centrally allign text horizontally and vertically in a text box, the text sits slightly high of the centre. Is there any way of setting an action or setting to deal with this rather than adjusting by eye every time?
I need to make an image with the famous "HOLLYWOOD" sign, but change the words.. in this case to "HOMECOMING". It's for my school newspaper I have looked up tutorials and haven't been able to find any, except the font. Any ideas? I am extremely new to Photoshop.
I know how to use text tool and different fonts there, but how do I add a 'cent' sign after a number? Like ten cents, but replace the word 'cents' with the cent symbol?
This has been installed and working since just after CS6 released, now Photoshop won't launch it gives me this "sign in required" screen the only change to my OSX 10.7.5 system is I ran the recent Adobe updates
i bought CS6 directly from Adobe... i guess i could just click on some suspect mystery SignIn screen..
I have a picture that has a sign in it. I'm going to crop the sign. Because the sign is higher than my camera, the sign looks tilted. Is it possible to make the sign look flat and take out the glare spots.
I have somehow accidently hidden the close, minimize and expand circles in Photoshop CS6 on a mac and now every time I want to minimize photoshop I have to go into window > arrange > minimize instead of just clicking the circle.
I have tried the tab key, the 'F' key, view > screen mode and window > arrange and none of them have worked and I cant find anything online.
Photoshop cc started to ask me to sign in before starting the program, but, when i'm sure my email and password is correct and my internet connection is on, it can't seem to sign in, no matter how much i clicked 'sign in' it won't sign in. it's says that i need to connect to the internet, but i'm already connected. in the end photoshop won't start up.
