Oct 13, 2005Been a while since I've gotten to play with PS. But I just got PSCS2 and wanted to play with it. And I remembered making a Euro Collage in my PS class (lol, was named Web Graphics using Photoshop 7.0) Anyway, I have lost all my notes and cannot remember what elements I need for a Euro Collage. I do remember a few things, but not everything. I have looked on the web but they don't say what elements comprise a Euro Collage. Or if anyone knows a link I could follow, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Jun 3, 2012Whenever I draw an integral sign (using paintbrush tool) for those math savvy people know that the symbol is an elongated "S".
I am writing a document using the paintbrush tool because I want to convert hand written notes into PDF using illustrator because there are alot of scientific illustrations.
When I write math notes and write the integral sign the following appears in the image below. It is like half of the end of the elongated ends become "half-filled" instead of one nice vector stroke (see image below). How do I stop it from doing that ?

Illustrator :: Text In CS6 Displays Red Plus Sign But There Is No Overset Text - How To Remove
Jan 8, 2014I have some text blocks in Illustrator CS 6 that display the red plus sign that indicates overset text but there is no overset text. It occurs in files that were created with earlier versions of Illustator and now we are reworking them. It can't be deleted. I have cut the text in the box and pasted it into a new text box to no avail. It is not a screen artifact. I have tried copying everything in the file and pasting it into a new file and the little red plus sign comes along. It doesn't print, of course.

May 22, 2012I need to create an illustration with only a certain amount of colors. I cleared out everything from my swatches palette and asked it to "add used colors." A color keeps popping up when I do this that I can't find in the actual illustration! But it must be somewhere. Is there a way to search for that color... so I can see where it is? I've tried selecting every piece of artwork, checking it, then locking it... but I'm not finding it.
I'm using CS4 on a Mac.

Illustrator :: CS6 Find Font Dialog Box
Oct 16, 2013I'm currently updating a LOT, and I mean A LOT of old forms, I have to replace the old Helvetica fonts for a new set we bought recently, and I realised that the Find Font dialog box is no longer "extensible". Is this now a "normal" behavior for Illustrator? Is there a workaround, or a preference somewhere I missed?
If this is a choice from the developers, let me say that removing features IS NOT a good way to go!In the meantime I'll revert to CS5 for that particular batch..If CC is going the same way I.E. removing features instead of improving old ones I'll pass..
Illustrator :: Could Not Find Linked File
Mar 2, 2013I have been using adobe for 4 years and I have never had this issue. Anytime I create a new design and save and then try to re-open it ( after I have moved logo or background pic I used to a new folder) it gives me this error. It also does it if I try to open up something on my computer at home.

Feb 7, 2014I was given a complex children's logo (below) in AI format. When placing it in ID, I started getting resolution warnings. After some digging, it turns out that the person who created this used images instead of gradients for only some of the objects. I'm not sure why someone would do this instead of just creating the gradients in AI. However, I now need to find and replace all these images. Is there an easy way to locate the images?

When you just select the image or do Ctrl+A it shows the entire image size(including the masked unwanted portion) in the transform palette and I just need the final dimensions of the image. Jun 26, 2013In CS6, you could select the artwork, then go the the Artboard Panel, choose options, and then choose "fit to selected artwork" or "fit to artwork bounds." This resized the artboard to fit your artwork. In Illustrator CC, both options are absent in the Artboard Panel and "Custom" isn't there either. I can't find these options anywhere else. I am reopening files in CS6 to do this now. Can't believe they eliminated this feature. I use it everyday.

I know it should be located until the Effect menu -> Stylize -> Drop Shadow, but the only option that appears under Stylize is Glowing Edges. Jul 31, 2013We have purchased new iMac's to replace our current 5 year old Mac pros. So we decided that instead of reinstalling CS5.5, which was what was installed on the Mac Pros , we would got straight to Creative Cloud
Now, If an ai file that was previously created on the Mac Pro in CS5.5 with linked images(stored on a shared folder on a Windows 2008 server) , when that ai file is opened on the iMac in Illustrator CC, we get the error "Could not find the linked file. Choose Replace to select another file or ignore to leave the link unchanged". If you click ignore, when you check the link path for the missing images , the path is blank.
