One annoying thing is that the Visio drawings got Arial as text style and my company want everything in their own textstyle. So at the moment I single click all text bar and change the style, there must be a faster way to fix this.

Is there a way to create a "master" numbering style (say, a number in a filled circle) to annotate an image of something else? I know there are technical drawing suites that do this, but was hoping that there was a way in illustrator (or indesign) Attached image shows the result im going for (yes I know I can do this manually, looking for an optimized way of doing it).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created multiple base views and projected views on drawing (autocad 2014). suddenly when I create base view it doesn't show anything, jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates (it is fixed can't be changed), scale can't be changed. It shows it is drawing view in properties, however when I want to edit (click edit then select the view , it won't recognize it is view). I created many views without problem, now all base views jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates....

How to create an file with graphs and tables (instruction manual) in one language and create afterwards many different linked copies where just the language should be manually changed? While editing the original (graphs etc..) the copies now should change the same way except the language.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to create a street art style stencil graphic to put on a t-shirt using Illustrator (note, not an actual stencil for spray painting, just the visual effect of one). I was able to make something similar in photoshop, but pixelation issues lead me to attempt a vector style graphic. The overlying "stencil" image is a complex vector object and the underlying "paint" layer is a series of semi-transparent paint splatter vector groups to get a more textured effect. I am doing it this way because, I have not been able to find any graffiti style brushes that work the same way as those in photoshop. The problem I am having is that when I attempt to make a clipping mask of these objects to be left with just the desired "paint" areas, there is a message about the complexity of this operation, and the result is total disappearance of all the objects, except for their paths. better way to get a vector graffiti stencil effect with texture?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using my created brush and when I try to use the basic brush, it immediately jumps back to my created brush with it's stroke size.
Align to pixel grid is turned off so it cant ber that.
I used to resolve this problem (when I was actually trying to keep using my created brush when it was reverting back to basic brush) but I would resolve it by double clicking on the designated brush in the brushes palette.
Also seeing as were on the subject of brushes, nop matter how I adjust the firmness/ pressure both in the driver setting of my wacom and for the brush in illustrator, I see no difference?
having an issue lining up letters to create a smooth line.
Using Myriad Pro text. The letters in question are 'n' and 'h' - both lowercase. Also working in CS6.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on the brink of insanity with creating my diagonal line pattern. I've tried everything I can think of but the pattern is an absolute mess! I want to create a diagonal line pattern but I want the lines not to be uniform. Basically I've made a group of 3 lines and then one separate line on its own, then to repeat this as the picture below. I've used the distribute function so the distances between the lines is identical everywhere. I've then rotated the whole thing exactly 45 degrees and aligned the lines to fit the bounding box in the "make pattern" mode as shown. Yet the resulting pattern is just a mess of overlap ugliness. All I want is for the pattern to literally look as it does in the image on the left, how to sucessfully do this in CS6?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI’m importing an Autocad/AutocadLT 2007 dwg file into Visio 2010 to create a floor plan. I want to link each space in the Visio floor plan to an Excel spreadsheet. Each space will need to have an identifier – e.g. room number – in its properties in Visio and in its corresponding record on the spreadsheet. I’m dealing with a lot of rooms, so I’d rather not have to number them manually.
All of the rooms on the floor plan in the dwg file are polylined and all of the polylines are on the same layer of the dwg file. This layer contains nothing but the polylines. I also have another layer that has room numbers for each polylined room. The only thing on this layer are the room numbers as mtext objects.
As far as I can tell, the mtext objects aren’t linked to their respective polylines. After I insert the dwg into a new Visio document, using Insert>CAD Drawing, I right click on the drawing and choose CAD Drawing Object>Convert. In the dialogue box that opens, I check the box for the polyline and room number layers. I then select the polyline layer and go to Plan>Assign Category and choose “space”, which converts all of the polylines to spaces.
Is there a way to associate a room number with each polyline in AutoCad? Is there any way to map the room numbers on the room number layer in the Visio file to the Space ID property of the spaces I created?
I tried creating a block in AutoCad, on the polyline layer, consisting of a single polyline and a block attribute that stored the room number as a value. When I selected the polyline layer in Visio and went to Plan>Assign Category and chose “space”, to converts all of the polylines to spaces, the block was not converted to a space. It became an object in Visio that had its room number stored as a value, but it wasn’t a space.
Can I store the room number in AutoCad as xdata associated with each polyline and somehow have Visio recognize it as a property of each space?
Is there any way to create a custom property for polylines in AutoCad that the room number can be stored in?
The above image shows my problem. All have the same zig zag effect setting, but due to inconsistent anchor point spacing there is inconsistent waviness. Is there a way to make a wavy line that is not a distortion based on anchor point distances? I'd like all my wavy lines to look nice and consistent like this:
The only reason they're so consistent is the absolute setting has been used but these lines are all straight and have only 2 anchor points, start and finish, hence the wave is consistent. It's harder when the lines are curvy and have a different number and spacing of anchor points.
I have created polka dots or even more complicated pattern in previous version illustrator. They are perfect. When i migrated to the CS5, the exactly same pattern always have a fine line in between the pattern swatches. After i export the artwork to jpg in 300dpi, they are still there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI really need to have the ends of my lines be square (plines an regular lines). I have tried changing my Plot Style .stb file to have the Line End Style to be set at "Square." I have checked all of the styles.
The problem is that doesn't change the my lines (pline or line). Even if the plot style is correct, it still has the rounded ends.
