I have a drawing of a stone railing section and I have to change direction in the run direction of the baluster panel. Is there a way that I can move the details without changing th Y direction of the details. Please refer to the attached CAD file for details. View 6 Replies View RelatedIn Revit, how can I stretch a building in one direction, including all floors, in either plan or elevation? Let's say a wing of a 3-story building is 20' long, and I want to make it 24' long.
In ACAD, there is the stretch command that uses a fence.
Granted I would have to use stretch on each plan & elevation drawing, but all elements within the fence are sretched.
Do I have to move a grid, and hope that I've locked all walls on all floors to that grid so they move when the grid is moved?
I need to stretch a drawing so the horizontal scale is different from the vertical. The stretch command does not seem to work for this and scale only seems to allow a change in both axes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedEver since CS5, the move function has operated normally in the horizontal direction but backwards in the vertical direction. In other words, entering a positive value moves objects down, entering a negative value moves them up.
At first I thought this was a bug, but it has continued in CS6 and CC on every computer we have. Yes I'm getting used to it but it's opposite of every other software package we have or have ever had, including Illustrator up to CS5.
I can't find a user control to correct this. Is there a way to do it?
Any way to move objects in vertical direction (z-axis) in 3d views, without having to turn the view everytime to be of frontal direction. I would like to move entire objects - for example mass objects - up or down directly in a 3d view of random orientation, now only top- or bottom face can be moved vertically, the whole object moves only on xy -plane. Can vertical movement of an object be done intuitively graphically and/or can it be be numerically, feeding coordinates?
Have tried all sources, but cannot find solution, and refuse to believe that Revit would be the only 3d/bim software on planet where direct vertical manipulation of objects is not possible.
If you have a collection of balloons you can make them go horizontal or vertical. Is there any way you can make the balloons to go in a 45° angle?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created associative 3D sketches to use as trajectories for sweeps. I will often have to use one line extending from the end of another line. I make the two lines colinear. But when the model changes, sometimes one line will change direction and cause an overlapping condition which makes the sweep fail.
Any way to keep it from happening? Ideally, I'd create one line that extended, but you can't constrain a line to a point, only an endpoint to a point. I'm attaching the model.

I want to force the Multileader landing to go left when the program wants to automatically form it to the right. How can you choose/change the direction of the landing line and side on which the text will be placed.

I've got to create a dynamic block for Rebar, with symbols (which are blocks) at two end of the bar line can be changed scale follow annotation scale changes.
The problem is after I have stretch the linear grip to change the length of the rebar, if I change to another annotation scale, the sybol block auto jump to the original position, not at the ends of line as I expected. How to keep the symbols at ends?
I have created a linetype with the text GAS OPTION in it. The line is continuous with a break around the text. In a straight line the linetype works fine (breaks around the text etc). However, when I use a polyline and spline the line for a curved line the text aligns with the direction of the line at the start, but when the line bends, the text suddenly changes direction and reads in the opposite direction. It looks like AutoCAD is trying to keep the text upright rather than following the direction of the line. When the text changes direction it also changes its insertion point and overlaps the continuous part of the line. I have 2013 AutoCAD.
Here is the string I used for the linetype.

I have cut several sections at different points along a road alignment. The sections are cut facing the same direction as the alignmnet. Is there a way to reverse the section direction without changing the alignment direction?

I have created a dynamic block. Herein I placed stretch actions parameter set to strecht parts including anotative text.
Now the block seems to work fine.
- When I am in modelspace and I change the annotation scale the text is changed correct
- When I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value of the dynamic block everything goes fine.
But when I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value in one of the annotiaton scales and then switch to another scale my text is changed annotativly (this is what I want) but the stretch value is set back to default (which should be at the changed value).
My autocad light for some reason makes all text in the vertical position. I have tried to change it but the vertical selection in the style box will not change. What do I do to highlight it to make the change.

I can't locate the menu option, e.g. Window>Type>Paragraph fails to show any RTL option. That the text is selected seems indicated by the bar at the top of the screen showing point size etc.

How on earth do you change the node's direction? This is SO frustrating! I just wanna control this *** but I can't. In Adobe PS it's simple, just hit ALT and you're back to 0 angle. In Corel I read somewhere that you double click the last node......yeah that ends it alright but when you go back to continue at a different angle it goes back to the same angle all over again so it's literally useless.

I can make a fill and offset the path and then move that gradient (which is a very similar effect), but gradient tool does not work on a stroke. I am just baffled by the idea that I can put a gradient on a stroke but then only change it by using the gradient palette to change the angle and /or height /width...and that honestly dosen't work well.

I am noticing that when I expand the shape (in this case a perfect cube), the vertical paths are not exactly perfect, and are not truly vertical, but off slightly.
