In my project I use an off-screen device to render the scene; I need to tweak some render settings (just load a default preset could be a good starting point), but I can't figure out how to do this with an off-screen device!

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy version is VideoStudio X6. Since the update to Windows 8.1 I have been having this error message every time I tried to record the screen. The message shows "An error occurred on your audio device." and it can't record. The drives're up-to-date, I've checked on the devices they all work fine. I need to record system sounds, however I tried to switch to another device but the error kept appearing. I also wondered if there's an error why would the app not showing the detail of the error but just describe it as "an error" because it's so vague it can be anything.

I've one scene having 3 sofas, one table, and one chandelier, with 2 windows.with "average quality of the render setup in Vray 800x600" my desktop is taking more than 5 hours to render. with same configuration of vray settings or higher like "1200x800" my Laptop is taking 30 to 40 minutes to render. I checked everything, everything is fine. why its taking too much time to render this small scene, i check another files its same,
I'm doing a few web mockups for a client and have set up a basic style of 'Georgia text 12/18px #333 colour'. I would love Photoshop and Indesign to render the type as dreamweaver. Is there anyway to setup the text to render the same as DW. I have attached a file as reference.

But when you first start up AutoCAD 2010 it brings up the Initial Setup screen. I was wondering if there was a way to get that not to display but just open AutoCAD right away.

I just bought a 15.6" Asus Q500A touchscreen laptop with Windows 8. I downloaded photoshop and the 'touch app plug-ins' through the Adobe Application Manager for creative cloud. When I open a file in PS and select the brush(or any other) tool if I use the touch screen to drag it accross the canvas nothing happens. It still works with my mouse though.

View 2 Replies View Relatedbasically I record using the hauppauge HD-PVR which records the clips in the M2TS format. I've been using Videostudio Pro X3 to edit the files and rendering them and have had no problems until now. I used to render my videos using the WMV HD 720 25p setting and the quality has always been perfect.
Recently though I tried to render a video using the same setting and it renders the video really quickly and the quality looks terrible.How to fix it so it renders the way it used to or would know another format that would give me the same results?
I was thinking of re installing pro X3 in the hope of it working the way it used to but i don't know if i will lose all my projects that i'm currently working on.
Any good 3d party texture baker. They bake hi-res things forever and neigther can bake complex procedural shaders and details with transparency properly.
Is there any 3d party render that could be considered for texture baking? I tried Vray but it's even slower in baking. Is there anything other to try? I mean something with a speed of Modo texture baking for example?
Looking for uick render settings for texture baking? Mental rey or scanline. Prerhaps I should degerade or avoid something not tailored for texture baking. What would be a prefered way for indirect illumination or ambient occlusion? Is there a renderer that would respect edited vertex normals on low poly shells while doing baking?

In any case, when I try to enable System Audio in the screen capture setup, I get an error message saying that it can't find any system audio.
System audio is working fine on my system, and neither Camtasia, CamStudio nor two other screen capture applications that I use have any problem with this whatsoever.

When I open a fresh scene, load MR and go to Render Settings my Quality, Indirect Lighting and Options tabs are not working. Quality is minimised to the top left and the others are blank.
I've tried the following :
- Uninstalling Mental Core
- deleting all prefs, scripts etc
- deleteUI unifiedRenderGlobalsWindow; buildNewSceneUI;
Attached are what I see in each of the problem tabs and below is all output from the script editor as I open Maya, load mental ray and then click on each tab in turn.

I've even tried the old open a new file, and import the file that has no render setting information, and that works maybe 10% of the time.

Our output is mainly structural drawings where we require a bill of materials as part of creating a drawing. Whenever I insert a BOM in the drawing environment I get this table which is labeled in a foreign language (it looks like an Eastern European language) and the format is not as per the standard Autodesk installation setup.
How do I either revert back to the standard setup or do a BOM setup from scratch?
We use IV 2013 Professional on Windows 7 64 bit.
Why has my rendered DVD turned out to be 'square' looking on our wide screen? I want the video to fill the screen entirely. We have a flat screen LED tv. I set the rendering to 16.9 but must have made a big mistake.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I have created a 3d model of a football stadium, but when I try to render it, it comes up with this message and it cannot render the scene. I've tried everything I can to fix it, but nothing has worked.
View 9 Replies View Related I've never had to rebuild a PC for drafting until now. We are using a VERY old batch processing program called ScriptEase. However, on the rebbuilt PC, when processing a batch, AutoCAD will not prceed because it stops and says:
"Can not use None device for plotting"
How, in the plot settings, can the correct printer and paper sized be saved? I've looked all over and cannot get it to save. Under the options and Print and Plot Devices, it is there but when manually going to PLOT, it just says NONE and will not remember the default printer.
We are using AutoCAD LT 2007
Should I turn off the screensaver and/or energy saver on my Mac during rendering? I've been rendering (or I thought so) for more than 2 hours and when I came back to check on the progress it was basically in the same place as when I left. Now sitting here watching it it's moving again.

The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.
