I am in Application options and am changing the background colour of the screen, hiding the grid lines, ticking the autoproject on sketch creation etc...changing the settings to how I like them. Apply them, model something, open Inventor 2011 the next day and all of the settings have gone back to what they were..
why the background colour changes when I'm dwg in 3D, it goes from the normal Charcoal to light brown and then to a mauve colour ? seems to be pretty random and a bit irritating. and then is it possible to turn it off so it just stays in the charcoal colour ?
Is there a way to change the background layer colour once you've started a document?
When I first created my document (in PS CS2, if that makes a difference) it automatically set my background colour as sepia, instead of white.
I'm now working on a painting and just realised that I can't use white; PS is calling this sepia colour white, and I can't get anything lighter.
Is there a way to fix this? I've done it on a few pictures now and I don't want to have to start everything over.
I've just tried making a new document with a white background layer and the same thing still happens! What is this?! I'm sure this can't be right! I'm on some sort of sepia scale; I can't even do grays. *desperate*
I transcribe church registers, due to the poor copies I need to change the background colour as this improves the writing for me to read and transcribe correctly. When I used PSP8 which I am unable to use now I was able to change the colour by using the dropper.
I have a very simple picture in jpeg format. The picture is all in white on an orange background.I would like to use Paint.net to select the white picture and place it on no-colour background.
Am I able to change the background colour of the view screen in PSE 11 organiser? The current background is grey, which isn't a great colour to optimise viewing images. Black would be better.
The instructions say <<< In the Background panel, select the Background Color option and click the color swatch to choose the color. >>> But I can't seem to find any way of changing the background colour from the default, white. ! (I want black.)
is it possible to change the colour of all elements in a pattern without changing the ipt file?
I have an assembly that has 4 rectangular patterns that can have any number of elements, sometimes the customer will ask for coating to be applied, in this case i only want to change the colour at the assembly level only.
Since I installed the 2014 Inventor, my 3Dconnexion Space Navigator refuses to keep the settings I program for the buttons.  I tried updating to the latest version of the driver, but that didn't work. I also tried unchecking the autosave function in the driver, but they still get changed anyway and then the driver asks if I want to save the changes.

I was wondering if there is a way to change the image for the splash screen? I've attached a screen shot. I'd like to edit the screen to show a company logo.
I will like to find out the colour code for the background colour on a particular web address. Unfortunately I am new here so not allowed to post links so will say this as creatively as possible. the address is theregentlagos (with the usual prefix beginning with w and suffix beginning with c for all websites). I am referring to the colour where the menu items like logo, home, brands etc are on.
I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4)Â you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I'm just started using inventor 2013 (from 2010) & the way colours/materials are applied has completely changed so I'm learning again from scratch.
Here's my issue: A customer has sent a casting to me in Parasolid format. When I open it, all the unmachined surface are blue & look a bit garish. However, the colours of the machined faces are ok & I wish to keep them.
So, I want to chage all the surfaces that are blue - I can use the picker & select all the blue faces seperately (by holding CTRL down & select each face one be one) but this is a pain & takes ages (there are over 200 faces)
I can see & edit the blue color in the manager but how do I tell Inventor to replace all - can it be done?
I'm doing a very simple drawing in 2DÂ on LT2013, I have 3 layers and therefore 3 colours of lines on the screen, red white and grey colour 8. In previous versions of LT the line colour will appear as one flat colour for every single line on that layer, regardless of whether the line is vertical or at 45 degrees or horizontal. In LT2013 it seems that only horizontal lines are displaying in this way as the correct layer colour, but vertical and 45 degree lines (incl. hatch eg ANSI32) are lighter, to the point they are white. This means I can't differentiate between lines that are on Layer 0 white and lines that are on Layer Hatch Colour 8. Is there a way to render all lines their true colour on the screen so I know what layer things are on without having to click on them?
I've been using CTB files to manage line colors, thicknesses etc - assigning a specific color number to a line color / thickness etc.
This results in great looking plots, but aren't the colors that appear on-screen.
I was wondering how can I make it look exactly like what you'll get but retain the automation/functionality of CTB files - rather than manually stuffing around with changing line weights/colors etc.
I'm currently trialling ACA 2010 in our office. In previous releases we used AEC Polygons as hatch and boundary objects for say concrete footing as an example.
Without the properties toolbar, how would I go about changing the linetype or colour of the aec polygon, I don't want to change the layer or a style based override I just want to assign a new colour to an object as the style base is set to 'byblock'. The properties for changing linetype, scale and colour aren't in the properties palette either.
Is this a bug or is there a correct workflow I must assume from now on?
I am currently using Architecture 2012. When I go to draw a line or an object like a wall or door I can select the colour from properties before I draw the object. The object will then come out that colour.
However if I need to change that colour at a later point, but how to do this?
The problem:At our office we have created a large amount of custom 3d walls (mainly by modifying existing ones) and in the walls we have overriden the material colour in plan view from the default 11 (peachy/corally colour) to green/red etc. Now when we xref the drawing with the walls in it some drawings retain those colours while others show the walls with the default colour 11. Since it is the exact same drawing on our server being xrefed I assume its an option somewhere that I am missing.
I changed my Color Settings in the Edit menu to 'Best Workflow CS4' which apparently synchronized my color settings, but the printed colors are now muddy and have lost their vibrancy.
It is a US orientated setting for US inks. I am in the UK and use Ilford Smooth Pearl Paper with the appropriate color profiles loaded. What are the recommended color settings for printing in the UK?? Is it Europress 2 which is what I'm now trying out?
I am trying to set up my colour settings as a recommended profile supplied by a commercial printer.
The problem is under, - Colour Settings - "Working Spaces"- "CMYK" - they recommend the setting should be "Euroscale coated v2" but, i am not given this choice in the dropdown menu. All that is available is - "PS 5 default", "PS 4 default", "Custom", "Load CMYK", "Save CMYK" and, a greyed out "Other".
I have also noticed that under "Colour Settings - Settings" - there is not the same choice that I have seen discussed in forums, eg I have seen "North America General Purpose 2" or "Europe General Purpose 2" mentioned, these choices do not appear in my drop down menu, only "PS 5 default spaces", "Custom", "Untitled" and a greyed out "Other" are visible.
I suspect that the reason behind this problem is that somewhere else in CS2 i have inadverently changed a setting which affects my choices in the Colour settings.

I installed 2013 and went straight to the customize settings to tone down the grid intensity. It's always the first thing I do. The colour changes but if I restart max the setting reverts to the installed default. Strange thing is, I also change the viewport active border colour, but that setting is being remembered fine.
I can't remember ever having problems installing max, but first the 2013 installer caused all sorts of problems with .NET, and now this.
I am still trying to learn the basics in AutoCAD. Here is an example: I have many lines created in a drawing that all are different in collar, layer, line type,. Now I want to start drawing a new line But with the settings of a specific line . instead of changing every attribute(collor, layer, line type.) How can I simple pick a line I like from the drawing and then the line tool adopts the settings from that line? The same question for other tools for example text, dims,... Is the a tool the simple picks the objects attributes and make those current ?
In my project I use an off-screen device to render the scene; I need to tweak some render settings (just load a default preset could be a good starting point), but I can't figure out how to do this with an off-screen device!
