Apr 8, 2013If I have a red flower on a multi-coloured background, and I want to make the background black. I select the flower using the magic scissors (tried selecting by colour but nothing happened), invert, then whichever method I follow to achieve the black background, it's always the flower that changes colour, not the background. I've tried not inverting it, it gives the same result. I can only change the colour of the selected subject, not the background. I have followed all the steps in different tutorials, always with the same result. GIMP 2.8.4.

Apr 8, 2013My background in Corel 5 is no longer white. It is a light yellow or cream & is very hard on my eyes Windows update downloaded an update for my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 2233) & printer. When I opened Corel 5, I was asked what colour management I wanted, I did not know. I believe I selected "monitor based" or something like that, the way the question was, made me believe I was choosing the same setting as before. Obiviously wrong. Using Corel draw 5 help I selected "page background" picked solid: choose white but did not change. I then choose "no background" but did not change.
I have restarted corel 5 to no avail.

we have some old drawings, (pre 2009) that open with a grey sheet colour but dont change as above?Is this a setting somewhere or a bug?

May 28, 2012why the background colour changes when I'm dwg in 3D, it goes from the normal Charcoal to light brown and then to a mauve colour ? seems to be pretty random and a bit irritating. and then is it possible to turn it off so it just stays in the charcoal colour ?

Sep 2, 2013really simple this but I want to change the colour of some blocks. There are already some of this block in the drawing, but I am adding additional ones and want these to show up by changing the colour to red.
The blocks have been created in Layer 0, and inserted on another layer. When I highlight the blocks in question I can change the colour to Red, but even though the ribbon says otherwise they are still appearing in the original colour.

Feb 8, 2012Couple days ago something crashed in autoCAD, and now when i select more lines or objects - i cant change colour in properties:
1) If i select one line --- still in properties is showing By Layer (colour)
2) If i select more line --- this window where was By layer --- is not active anymore and i cant cahenge anything.

Dec 8, 2012with CS4 I had a clear desktop with my screensaver, only the tools bar were visible at the top and on the side now that I have CS6....... the whole screen is covered with a dark grey colour ..... that means that I can not select other photos or folders unless I hide photoshop. I had a look at the preferences, interface, etc. and I can not see any difference between the two.what changes to make to the settings so that I can use CS6 and see the normal desktop.

I suggested to my co-worker that I could fix this via plot manager, but he insists that I change all colours in the xref to one and the same, so everyone can plot it black and white and so we don't have to set up new plot styles on every computer. (we've got the drawing file from another company btw).
I've had a look and it seems like I have to do refedit to be able to edit any parts of the xref. Most of the drawing has got the same colour already, but it just say "by layer"... how do I find out what colour it is?
