I need to know how to eliminate my first tread being part of the landing. I have tried every possible combination of varibles I can find. It happens randomly. when it does if I adjust anything it comes back.
View 4 Replieshow I keep the three risers shown in the image below, but extend the landings on the first and third run to avoid creating the angled corners. The angled corners show up when I manually edit the edges to bring the second run width down to match the first and third run width.
If I extend the landings, it tends to push one of the second run risers around the corner to the third run, and that screws up my design.
In 2010, when you did a multileader, on the landing you had an arrow grip on both ends and then the box grip in the middle.. Now in 2012 they have the landing set to where there is an arrow grip at one end closest to the text and the box grip at the other end....
Is there any way to set the multileader grips on the landing in 2012 the way they were set up in 2010?

I did the fish body outline. Then I decided I needed to change the path by the head. I want to join the inside line to the body outline and eliminate the path on the head portion. I need the finished outline to e a closed path so I can do a clipping mask. I have tried the "join" cmd but it wants to add a straight line between the bottom and top.
Is there a way to accomplish what I am wanting to do?
I've been trying to create a stair block that will automatically adjust the riser height to to suit the total vertical rise of the flight, but am having issues.
I drew two 'tread/riser' Plines, and constrained the daylights out of them. By stretching the grip for the 'Total Rise' constraint, the risers adjust nicely, while the treads remain at their desired 11" depth.
My problem is that when I try to create an array of the tread/riser, (using a linear parameter aligned with the slope of the stair) I can't get the 'column' width to change as the risers change height. Instead the value remains constant, and the arrayed copies don't connect with each other.
Any way either to fix this so that that the copies connect 'head-to-tail'?
experiencing monolithic stair with top tread missing - see attached image. The plan has irregular treads and I did pull the top riser line away from the boundary intersection but it had not affect.Or is this just a "feature"

- 'on screen' on the left is taken from my screen. The numbers are shown correctly.
- 'after print' in the middle is a black&white pdf print by adobe pdf. you can see there is the last number missing.
- 'after print-random number missing' on the right is a coloured pdf print also by adobe pdf. several numbers are missing and it happened randomly.

I have an mleader with a single vertices point.
There's a thing called a doglength which enables a grip point that allows the leader to be repositioned.

I have a problem with the dogleg length in that I can't rotate it according to the current UCS. Is this possible?
How do I make a leader, no text, no landing, grippers on both ends. Every time I go to grab the gripper on the non-arrow side of the leader it moves away from me . The line just moves away from the pointer at an ever increasing speed and distance).

When I draw the leader to left of center, it puts the landing on the left side of the line. How can I turn that auto-directional thing off?

At a multileader when "automatically include landing" is set to "NO" or unchecked, then a small point (like that at the end of a dimension line) is inserted in the callout block, such as the circle, which then prints. This makes for less than clean drafting to say the least--is this normal? If so, (why?!), is there any way to NOT have those points print/show up?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to insert a Key Plan as a small part in my title blocks. I have a key plan ready in my model section. I did tried to play around in the block editor but could not find anything useful. I wish I could insert the key plan like viewport in the layout section.
On the side, my file directory always showed up on the paper when I printed my drawing out. Do you know how I can get rid of this ?
Just a quick (but possibly hard?) question. I have a multileader set up, but I also want it to automatically include a line which spans the vertical breadth of the text at the end of the landing. It's hard to explain, so I've put an image below.
Currently it's set up as a block that can change in height, depending on how many levels of text I tell it to fit to. Problem is, if I rescale my Multileader, I'll have to go back and rescale the block separately.
Now, possible to include such a feature in a Multileader such that it autoscales and auto lengthens, depending on the height of text?

I'm having a frequent but random problem with Multileaders where the landing distance will change on its own from its initial standard 1/8 inch to some relatively large negative distance which also causes the landing to disappear altogether. If I use the move trick for resetting all elevations to zero (Move 0,0,10e99 then 0,0,10e-99) the landing will reappear connecting the landing grip at the strange negative offset.
The problem seems only to happen when the leader is connected to the bottom right of the note.
When I remove the leader and add a new leader it appears correct but as soon as I save the drawing the affected Multileaders will again present this problem.

How to make Multi Leader end line landing or turn 90 degree vertical? I just want to use the leader point to the part and no text at the end of the leader. I guess the only way i know how to do right now is to exploded the M-leader and draw a line vertical down which is not recall proper way . Some people like to use just Leader not Multi leader but i like to use M-leader so i can enter the text in difference line. (See Pic below)

I'm attempting to make it look as if an open books page is being turned with the centre of the book acting as the Page Turns limit.
When I pull the fold position out fully the page lands way out, I've toyed around with the layers anchor point, and adjusting keyframes of CC Page Turn halfway but no success.
I've included a quick gif to indicate where all is going wrong. I basically want the page to land flush on the left side
I had a request come in this morning to generate a spread sheet with all PI's along a route with angles greater than 20°s. Using Civil 3d 2011 I thought the PI station report or any of the reports for that matter would tell me the turned/deflection angle for each PI. However, I have discovered I can get coordinates, bearings etc. but no angles. How to spit out a PI report showing the turned angle for each PI?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently started an internship with a company who makes radiators for power transformers. The first task they have given me is to clean up their plant layout file. The file currently has 125 layers in it due to machine blocks dragging in unwanted layers whenever they bought new machines. (presses, rolling machines, powdercoating, welding, ect...) I have been having trouble getting rid of and simplifying their floor plan. I tried creating blocks for each group of machines and changing the layer of the block to the desired layer. This seems to change the block to the right layer, but it still references to the other layers it was previously in. I want to keep the separate colors that show different parts of the machines, but I still need to eliminate the unwanted layers. Is there any way to consolidate the layers while keeping the different colors within the blocks I tried to create?. They have me working on Autocad 2006.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSomehow, in some way, I created a floating toobar for the layers manager. When I click on the layers property button, a "floating" version of it appears. I can close it, dock it, auto-hide it, etc., but can't get rid of it permanently.
I'm using LT 2011, which feels odd after two decades of running the "full strength" versions.
I have my current install set to save the dwg down to 2010. how come the preview images are blank? its only when i save down do the images become blank. if i save in the current version the preview image is there.

I want to eliminate the lines from one of the columns while leaving the lines in the remaining columns. I tried to set up the column before inserting it but could not find the column format that would allow me to do that in the Style Editor.
How to do this. I need to also remove the (read only) from the Style Editor.
I have many 3d metal sheet metal drawing. When I put the model into 3d model in to 2d layout, I see many 'lines' on flat surfaces. The 'lines' seem to be showing 'reflective effect'. However, it really cause problem when I give this to my boss. He asked why I cut the sheet metal into so many pieces. How I can set autocad NOT to show those unwanted lines?

I'm trying prepping in hopes of sitting for my Autodesk Civil 3d Certification exam at AU. The chapter I'm currently reading through talks about deleting triangles from the surface.
So now I'm wondering about the pros and cons of both methods.
