how I keep the three risers shown in the image below, but extend the landings on the first and third run to avoid creating the angled corners. The angled corners show up when I manually edit the edges to bring the second run width down to match the first and third run width.
If I extend the landings, it tends to push one of the second run risers around the corner to the third run, and that screws up my design.
I am having a problem adding a top landing to an external staircase. see below image.
Every time i try and add the top landing i either get boundary error messages or railings surround top landing.
I need to know how to eliminate my first tread being part of the landing. I have tried every possible combination of varibles I can find. It happens randomly. when it does if I adjust anything it comes back.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn 2010, when you did a multileader, on the landing you had an arrow grip on both ends and then the box grip in the middle.. Now in 2012 they have the landing set to where there is an arrow grip at one end closest to the text and the box grip at the other end....
Is there any way to set the multileader grips on the landing in 2012 the way they were set up in 2010?
I have a building with 2 levels & I have one stairwell. My 2 levels are in a shell.dwg - (first floor level & second floor level). I have a simple stair & landing, which is an element. I insert that element into the first floor level. Everything is fine there, but when I set up a view drawing with the shell (construct) & stair (element in construct) for the second level the stair is diplayed as if it is going up from the first floor level - I need it to show going down from the second floor level. Is there way to show that with one stair?
What we have done in the past is to not have levels, 1 construct for first floor & another for second floor - creating a stair styles for each floor. But when you do a model you have stairs on top of each other (not really using the software like we should). So my question is how do I have 1 stair for 2 different levels & show it correctly for each level. When I set my cut-plane height for first floor level - looks great, but when I set it second floor level - either it remains the same obviously or when I uncheck the override display config. in other on the display tab in the style the stair disappears. I'm trying a new way of creating models/plans & I can't think on how to create the stairs correctly. What am I missing in order to look correctly in plan view without making 2 stairs.
I'm just trying to put a wall under a stair and it seems like I can not succeed. Already tried with interference, body modifiers and trimming.

I am finding that if I start with a CommanLine (not full width of the screen) centered on the bottom of the drawing window, as I am working the CommandLine has increased to the full width of the screen.
Why this may be happening or how I may prevent?
Is it possible to create a wall in AutoCAD Architecture that will change in size along its length. At one end of the concrete wall the wall thickness is 12", at the other end the wall thickness is 24" thick. The wall will grow in size from one length to the other.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have drawings that were made in AutoCAD Architecture 2008 that when opened in AutoCAD Architecture 2012, the 0-width walls in the drawing don't show up anymore. The only solution I found was to change the Base Height in the properties of the wall (which I accessed by choosing the zdiagnostics display setting) to 10' instead of the standard 1/2" that we normally use.
I'm guessing it has to do with the wall styles as they were transferred from out 2008 to our 2012 template.
I have set my text style and the height but what i am suppose to write in the Widht Factor case ?? The default setting is 1.0000?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been having this issue happen repeatedly, but not consistently. In a new file, I adjust the width of an mtext box so that the text wraps into multiple lines. When I next open the file, all mtext boxes are back at a wider width so that the text is all on one line. The start of the text is also usually in a different location. This was happening on 2011/XP and now on 2012/Windows7.

to sum up, this is something like that:

3- add listeners
4- do your stuff......
5- remove listeners
6- unload extension
Basically my plugin is a module/service which is in charge of dealing with / modifying artwork tree. It has no User Interface.
My extension will have a user of this service.
What I would like to do is to load my extension as soon as my plugin is loaded, and unload the extension when the plugin will be unloaded.
Or notify when extension is loaded or unloaded.
Is that possible and hw could I achieve that?

How do I make a leader, no text, no landing, grippers on both ends. Every time I go to grab the gripper on the non-arrow side of the leader it moves away from me . The line just moves away from the pointer at an ever increasing speed and distance).

The problem does not effect all the paragraphs only select ones. If I change the width of the column the spacing of the text will fix itself. All of the text is the same text style. At a multileader when "automatically include landing" is set to "NO" or unchecked, then a small point (like that at the end of a dimension line) is inserted in the callout block, such as the circle, which then prints. This makes for less than clean drafting to say the least--is this normal? If so, (why?!), is there any way to NOT have those points print/show up?

Currently it's set up as a block that can change in height, depending on how many levels of text I tell it to fit to. Problem is, if I rescale my Multileader, I'll have to go back and rescale the block separately.

I'm having a frequent but random problem with Multileaders where the landing distance will change on its own from its initial standard 1/8 inch to some relatively large negative distance which also causes the landing to disappear altogether. If I use the move trick for resetting all elevations to zero (Move 0,0,10e99 then 0,0,10e-99) the landing will reappear connecting the landing grip at the strange negative offset.
The problem seems only to happen when the leader is connected to the bottom right of the note.
When I remove the leader and add a new leader it appears correct but as soon as I save the drawing the affected Multileaders will again present this problem.

How to make Multi Leader end line landing or turn 90 degree vertical? I just want to use the leader point to the part and no text at the end of the leader. I guess the only way i know how to do right now is to exploded the M-leader and draw a line vertical down which is not recall proper way . Some people like to use just Leader not Multi leader but i like to use M-leader so i can enter the text in difference line. (See Pic below)
