Is it possible to eliminate the Profile listed in the title are? I prefer to view the path in the title area. Sometimes the path can be fairly long and characters get cut off. If I could eliminate the current profile from being listed here, I could view more of the path. See attached.
View 2 RepliesI'm using Lightroom 4, currently waiting to upgrade to 4.4. However, I'm having a problem not finding any of my lens profiles listed in the lens correction control panel. If I check the box, "Enable Profile Corrections" and then select from the "Lens Profile" dropdown menu, I get a list of only six available lens brands: Apple, Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, and Tamron. This is odd, because when I view the package contents for the software under Package Contents > Contents > Plugins > Resources > Lens Profiles - ALL the lenses that I use (Pentax) ARE listed there. Why then will they not show up in the interface of the actual software when running?

But when I go to sheet views and right click a view, only the 1st callout block that I used is available under place callout block.

I have my current install set to save the dwg down to 2010. how come the preview images are blank? its only when i save down do the images become blank. if i save in the current version the preview image is there.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI would like to show the title boundary of our site on a profile in a way that is dynamic. Same idea than on cross sections, where you can create an alignment running along the title boundary and then show a block where the boundary lies on each cross section. I know I could project a cogo point where the alignment intersects the boundary.
This method is not perfect because, if the alignment changes and, therefore, the intersection point with the boundary changes too, the cogo point won't follow the alignment, staying at its original location. Hence, I'll have to update it manually. I tried using a feature line, but it seems I cannot show a marker only where it intersects the alignment.
The attached profile is a section from a solid. I would like to create a closed profile in order to extrude the shape into a solid. The polyline command and splinedit don't seem to do the trick.

I go to the Contents (under Text) and edit it to bring up the Text component Editor.
In this if I go to the Format Tab the text style is set to annotative, however under that it says font style as an overide. How do I remove the override and set the style of the text to the text style. And how do i change the text style.
Just upgraded a user to Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium 2013 but AutoCad 2013 and AutoCad MEP 2013 are not saving settings.
On first use the crosshair is large and angled, not standard. If I run "Rest values to default" then the settings are standard until I either restart AutoCAD or open a drawing then have the same strange cross hair.
Have tried creating a new profile, setting it as default startup profile by altering the shortcut but no matter what settings are not saved and revert to strange cross hair once AutoCAD is re-opened or a drawing is opening.If logon to computer as a user without a roaming profile all works fine.
We have loaded copies of AutoCAD Architecture 2013 on several workstations. We had tried brining over older profiles (from 2008)- which did not work, so made up new ones. ANYTIME we go into the profile settings to load a different profile beyond the default, AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial), eventually while working the program will crash. We've wiped out installations of the program, registry and all, and re-installed without brining over any prior data. Same issue.
Even when using a seperate "default" profile us as (Global) or (Metric)- same issues. The problem with staying/modifying the workspace for the US Imperial is it will not load the complete menus with the MENULOAD command (only loads EXPRESS). If we work within the (US Imperial), no crashing, but again, the menus are not available within that profile for some reason, so that is not an acceptable solution.
When using Autocad 2013, the minimize, maximize, and close buttons on the right side of the title bar frequently disappears. I can make it reappear by selecting the drawing name under the window tab.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have encountered an error in 2013 MEP. Autocad will suddenly not load and it appears that it gets hung up looking for a profile that does not exist. "AutoCAD MEP (US Imperial)" If I am logged in as administrato,r it opens fine. In my own domain, however, it does not. I have repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Incidentally, all of the other Autodesk programs work. Any thoughts on where I can find that profile so that I can redirect to it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with and extension to AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 on Windows 32. When a dialog opens it sometimes immediately minimizes and must be restored via the Windows task bar. I have also noticed that the dynamic input command line is visible when the dialog disappears and is present even if the dialog does not disappear. I have shown this in the image below. This also occurs on Windows 7 64 bit, as well.
If I set the workstation to windows Basic Theme or turn off dynamic input, this does not occur.
Is there a way i can insert a title block through the design center by selecting the the layout and dragging it in. When i bring it in it gives me just the blank paper without the title block.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am creating a large form. The goal of the form means I am unable to break it down into smaller forms as there is a great deal of interaction between all levels of the form.
One of my first fields is a multi-value field (Foundation Type) with four options (None, Slab, Piers, Wall). Three of those options have a group of fields lower in the form with between 1 and 5 fields.
(Multi:Value Option: Example of fields specific to that option)
Slab: Thickness, Edge Depth, Edge Width
Piers: Diameter, Depth.Offset
Wall: Footing (T/F), Depth, Width,
I currently disable all of the groups of fields that are not part of the active option in the primary multi-value field throught the (Enabling Paramter Name) option with a rule. This keeps the user from entering values that affect a Foundation Type that is not currently active, but the disabled fields take up a lot of room on my form and may confuse end user less familiar with the system,
The group function in the form has a minimize toggle next to the group name, but the Form Editor does not show any options to manipulate this toggle. Is there a way to automatically toggle this minimize/maximize function through a rule or other means)? Or are there any other means of hiding form fields that are not currently enabled?
I'm having some difficulty in deciding how to go about creating a title block for my drawings. I have attempted to create the title block with Document fields from the drawing properties custom properties tab, and creating the same fields with information from the Sheet / Sheet Set fields. Both title blocks used attributes inside the block to house the fields, and both were .dwt files.
Is there a way to take the properties from the .dwt drawing into a newly created drawing, or is there a way to link custom sheet set properties with a newly created sheet set? The main goal is to not have the user manually input multiple custom fields either in the drawing properties or the sheet set manager of the new drawing.
Im wondering if there is a fast and atuomated way to insert a title block onto the layout tab throughout an existing project?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI made a 24 x 36 title block with attributes and saved it as a wblock.
1) When I inserted the title block into a 24 x 36 paper space, The titleblock does not fit. and the texts are messed up as well. The text are in in their respective places. What I did to create the title block is to basically created a title block border and then created the text. So, I made a block out of the borders and then a block out of the text then I made a block out of the whole thing (text and border). After i saved it as a wblock. When saving as wblock i chose entire drawing and once i chose object.
2) When I try to test plotting with this title block i made (even though it does not fit in) it does not show up in print preview.
How do I make some of the text Bold and others not? but keep them all same style?
The attached image show the annotation title style and the label on center line (the red rectangles).

I have saved my drawing .idw template file from Inventor to a .dwg
Inserted it into AutoCAD .dwg
Saved as an AutoCAD .dwt
now the only issue that I have, is the image that I had embedded into the inventor drawing template, shows up as an icon instead of my compnay logo:
Is AutoCAD capable of showing images in a title block and hwo would I go about deleting the current icon image and replace it with the logo?
I tried deleting the current image in block editor but it won't let me select it.

How to update the “title block” being inserted as Xref?
I wanted to update the title block (inserted as Xref) as some changes occur in the original dwg but sounds not to work.
How the Xref is updated so that all changes in its original source can be reflected automatically?

When I open my title block, I cannot get a 3D assembly drawing to show as a 3D drawing in the title block on the layout tab. If I transfer the title block to the model space, it rotates to the same usc as the assembly drawing?

The title blocks have been working fine for months in ACAD2012, and I've even tried saving the drawing containing the blocks as an AutoCAD 2013 dwg to no effect.
The title blocks are 'home-made' and contain a mix of fields and attributes, could this be causing the problem?
I like to have the path display in the title bar at the top of the screen. I check the box to display it in options. It works! But the text is almost illegible in the title bar. The title bar is black, the text is black with some cloudy grey background. It is impossible to read. I can't seem to find anyplace to change it's appearance either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe incorrect plotted logo is xref'd into a title block. It appears fine on a plot preview. The same titleblock is Xref'd into all other drawings with no problems. I have tried printing both directly from my desk to the printer, and plotting it to a file. I have tried PDFing it in both Bluebeam and Adobe. Bluebeam PDF has lines vertically, evenly spaced, throughout the entire drawing; Adobe is unexceptably blurring. I have purged and audited all the Xref's in the drawing as well as the drawing itself. I have even created a new drawing and rexref'd everything and brought the work over. Nothing has worked. There is nothing more frustrating then having all the work done but not being able to submit it. I already spent 2 days trying to fix this and the project goes out at the end of the week.

In this new job, 98% of our drawings are done in a single file with multiple layouts. I would like to set my template up so that things like Rev numbers and drawn by, and checked by etc., are updated in all layouts by changing just the first sheet. I also want to include a field for the drawn date so that it takes the current date (they want the drawn date to reflect the print date rather than the actual drawn date...)
I would like to incorporate attributes for things like checked by, engineer check, and such but make them so they don't appear unless you open the attribute editor.
I'm trying to edit an architectural Title Block. I've went into block editor and did attribute definitions. However, when I save it I can't insert it into a drawing. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
