When using Autocad 2013, the minimize, maximize, and close buttons on the right side of the title bar frequently disappears. I can make it reappear by selecting the drawing name under the window tab.
View 1 RepliesI'm using Premiere Pro CC. I have created a title in title tool and I have added a drop shadow. I can see the drop shadow when I still have the title tool open. Once I close the title tool window the drop shadow disappears? I have tried different fonts nothing seems to work. Don't know what else to try?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing xrefing another drawing which has the ecw attached to it - if I change the UCS the ecw disappears.
So the image only shows when the ucs is set to WUCS - I should also note that just the image disappears I can still see the image frame.
This has been occurring numerous time more than it should. While in a drawing mid command, panning, typing anything pretty much my cad freezes. The rest of my computer is fine everything works properly but CAD is frozen and when i bring my pointer into the program it disappears. I can even open cad up again and the old CAD will stay open. It shows the drawings i have open on the tab bar and i can’t close out of them. I have a computer that’s more than capable to work properly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use object grouping for several different things in AutoCAD. With the release of ACAD 2013 I occasionally get the following message upon opening a drawing:
Associative Network Evaluation Error
The object cannot be resolved or value limit has been exceeded.
Inconsistent associative objects my display geometry and grips incorrectly and update in unexpected ways when edited. You can undo to restore the associative object to its previous state.Upon receiving this message, all groups have been removed from the drawing.
All of a sudden my cursor will become invisible. This happens only with AutoCAD. and if I switch between drawing windows it will appear on another drawing file. I have to close the drawing and open it again and then the cursor will be back only to disappear again. The cursor is visible if I move it back to the ribbon or bottom controls. It seems to happen only when it becomes the cross-hair cursor. I can still make selection windows and right click.
Mouse is working fine with all other programs and drivers are up-to-date.
I have a small office and 2 of the associates are using autocad lt 2014 1 is using 2013 and I am using 2007. Up until a few months ago we were all on 2007.
Now when I open drawings from the 2007 version, I cannot see some of the text. I have tried the following: Checking layers to make sure they are onChecking font to make sure they are availabemaking sure annonotation is visiblemaking sure proxy graphics are onMaking a block of just the drawing objects and opening that I am not that familiar with 2014, so I cannot figure out what is happening. Note - when i look at the drawing in the preview window, I can see the text. But when I open it, it is not there. If I save in 2014, the text no longer shows up in the preview.
In 2013, when I place a balloon, or drag an existing one around, the text inside the balloon either disappears or gets mundged. My hardware setting is on "Performance". I tried it on "Compatability" as well with the same results.

Graphics card supports both DX10/OpenGL. Worked fine for 2011 and 2012.
Upon selecting anything in 90% of any drawings the crosshairs disappear and CAD2014 freezes for 2sec.
It's a Dell Presicion T1600, Xeon 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Quadro2000 with a 120GB SSD as the primary running CAD2014 premium.
It started recently.
This happens even if I toggle HW acceleration. We draft mainly in model view with the 2D Wireframe style.
I have a library of blocks that I built for our company to use. We recently upgraded from 2013 to 2014 and boy did it throw our library for a loop!
There is a check box (reflectivity) that leaves the materials black when the drawing shade mode is changed to Realistic (unless you go in and uncheck the reflectivity box) and while I have figured out how to alleviate that issue (by unchecking it on our tempate and saving it) I am still having a materials issue with our blocks.
I can open the block (and turn on Realistic mode) and all the pieces have their materials like they should. I then open a new drawing and insert the same block into the drawing .. one piece is sans material.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why it's there on one drawing but it gone when inserted. The new drawing has been purged and doens't contain anything it shouldn't.

Is there a way i can insert a title block through the design center by selecting the the layout and dragging it in. When i bring it in it gives me just the blank paper without the title block.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having some difficulty in deciding how to go about creating a title block for my drawings. I have attempted to create the title block with Document fields from the drawing properties custom properties tab, and creating the same fields with information from the Sheet / Sheet Set fields. Both title blocks used attributes inside the block to house the fields, and both were .dwt files.
Is there a way to take the properties from the .dwt drawing into a newly created drawing, or is there a way to link custom sheet set properties with a newly created sheet set? The main goal is to not have the user manually input multiple custom fields either in the drawing properties or the sheet set manager of the new drawing.
Im wondering if there is a fast and atuomated way to insert a title block onto the layout tab throughout an existing project?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI made a 24 x 36 title block with attributes and saved it as a wblock.
1) When I inserted the title block into a 24 x 36 paper space, The titleblock does not fit. and the texts are messed up as well. The text are in in their respective places. What I did to create the title block is to basically created a title block border and then created the text. So, I made a block out of the borders and then a block out of the text then I made a block out of the whole thing (text and border). After i saved it as a wblock. When saving as wblock i chose entire drawing and once i chose object.
2) When I try to test plotting with this title block i made (even though it does not fit in) it does not show up in print preview.
How do I make some of the text Bold and others not? but keep them all same style?
The attached image show the annotation title style and the label on center line (the red rectangles).

I have saved my drawing .idw template file from Inventor to a .dwg
Inserted it into AutoCAD .dwg
Saved as an AutoCAD .dwt
now the only issue that I have, is the image that I had embedded into the inventor drawing template, shows up as an icon instead of my compnay logo:
Is AutoCAD capable of showing images in a title block and hwo would I go about deleting the current icon image and replace it with the logo?
I tried deleting the current image in block editor but it won't let me select it.

How to update the “title block” being inserted as Xref?
I wanted to update the title block (inserted as Xref) as some changes occur in the original dwg but sounds not to work.
How the Xref is updated so that all changes in its original source can be reflected automatically?

Is it possible to eliminate the Profile listed in the title are? I prefer to view the path in the title area. Sometimes the path can be fairly long and characters get cut off. If I could eliminate the current profile from being listed here, I could view more of the path. See attached.

When I open my title block, I cannot get a 3D assembly drawing to show as a 3D drawing in the title block on the layout tab. If I transfer the title block to the model space, it rotates to the same usc as the assembly drawing?

The title blocks have been working fine for months in ACAD2012, and I've even tried saving the drawing containing the blocks as an AutoCAD 2013 dwg to no effect.
The title blocks are 'home-made' and contain a mix of fields and attributes, could this be causing the problem?
I like to have the path display in the title bar at the top of the screen. I check the box to display it in options. It works! But the text is almost illegible in the title bar. The title bar is black, the text is black with some cloudy grey background. It is impossible to read. I can't seem to find anyplace to change it's appearance either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe incorrect plotted logo is xref'd into a title block. It appears fine on a plot preview. The same titleblock is Xref'd into all other drawings with no problems. I have tried printing both directly from my desk to the printer, and plotting it to a file. I have tried PDFing it in both Bluebeam and Adobe. Bluebeam PDF has lines vertically, evenly spaced, throughout the entire drawing; Adobe is unexceptably blurring. I have purged and audited all the Xref's in the drawing as well as the drawing itself. I have even created a new drawing and rexref'd everything and brought the work over. Nothing has worked. There is nothing more frustrating then having all the work done but not being able to submit it. I already spent 2 days trying to fix this and the project goes out at the end of the week.

In this new job, 98% of our drawings are done in a single file with multiple layouts. I would like to set my template up so that things like Rev numbers and drawn by, and checked by etc., are updated in all layouts by changing just the first sheet. I also want to include a field for the drawn date so that it takes the current date (they want the drawn date to reflect the print date rather than the actual drawn date...)
I would like to incorporate attributes for things like checked by, engineer check, and such but make them so they don't appear unless you open the attribute editor.
I'm trying to edit an architectural Title Block. I've went into block editor and did attribute definitions. However, when I save it I can't insert it into a drawing. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

All I find are on creating dynamic block, which I could achieve, but I need one for a block that has (or will have) attributes.
I was able to find a tutorial on attributed door numbers, but it does not work for drawing titles that has attributes. GOAL: I would like to have all my seven drawing titles in one file and to be able to stretch the leg of any selected title to a desired length.
i have created some dynamic title blocks with text attributes in title column. I have gone back an added some more attributes at a later date and these new ones will not move with my dynamic stretch! I have tried everything, modifying the action, re-doing the action, nothing works!

I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.
