View 16 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use paint.net to make a texture pack for Minecraft. I want the inventory screen to be transparent. So I tried to use the color replacer with a tolerance of 0 to replace a color with a transparent black. So original color -> transparent color. But what happens is that the color that is partially transparent just layers on top of the other, just making it black. Since I need to get the shape and outline exactly right of all the boxes in this inventory screen, erasing and recoloring each pixel isn't really an option.

Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

Have used Corel photo album 6 for many years and loved it, was very easy to use. When I got my new laptop, I was told that my program was outdated and was recommended that I purchase Corel paintshop Prox4, so I did. I would like to burn my pictures to a CD or DVD for backup and to share with my family, only. My old program had an easy one step button to click on to make a CD/DVD. I find this product to be difficult to use for an average person just wanting to have a little fun with their pictures and doing some minor corrections.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been removing photo backgrounds, saving them as .png and using them in a Power Point Project. Apparently when I reopened that PowerPoint project to add more photos, Libre Office's Impress opened the .ppt file rather than PowerPoint. When I had added all of the png photos and saved the ppt file again I saw that it was "Impress" not PowerPoint that was saving he file, but it still saved it as a ppt file.
I was not concerned until I went to open the ppt file with PowerPoint and discovered that PowerPoint could not open that ppt file. I decided that I had to start fresh and add all of the png photos in a new Pow1erPoint Project. Then I found that he transparent background ol all of the png files had been changed to black. I must have transparent backgrounds. So I took each photo back into Paint.Net and used the Magic Wand to remove the backgrounds, then saved them as png files. When I sent to use those edited .png files the backgrounds were still black. I have tried removing those black backgrounds several times but they continue to have black backgrounds. what I can try to get the transparent backgrounds back?
I have PSP x14 on win7 64b. I would like to make a photo look like it's on a canvas so that it would show a depth of border along the top and down the nearest side. I have tried altering the perspective and adding narrow selected lenght from the top and side of the original photo but am still not getting the effect I am after.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to Illustrator and design in general. We are looking to update or re-create our company logo and wondering how to take a photo that i can then use to create a texture. We flame cut and grind steel plate for the tool and die industry, mold shops and machine shops. Our current logo can be seen at [URL] ... was created by a company no longer involved with us.
Anyway I would like to take some photos of steel plate and use it to create textures for the new logo similar to the current one. I took a few with a digital camera and then sent them to a logo design firm, which we may or may not use and when they applied the texture to some of the logos it is out of scale and way to large. examples can be seen at [URL] .... you will notice some design use gradient silver instead of my image I sent and I have been told that the powers that be want a texture taken from one of our ground plates.
So now i have thought about trying to create a logo or at least a number of "B" designs that ahve a properly scaled texture that I can use as a basis and submit to the design firm.
Stair tread number tool is wonderful. BUT it is being not printed properly.
Example image attached:
- 'on screen' on the left is taken from my screen. The numbers are shown correctly.
- 'after print' in the middle is a black&white pdf print by adobe pdf. you can see there is the last number missing.
- 'after print-random number missing' on the right is a coloured pdf print also by adobe pdf. several numbers are missing and it happened randomly.
I need to know how to eliminate my first tread being part of the landing. I have tried every possible combination of varibles I can find. It happens randomly. when it does if I adjust anything it comes back.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to create a stair block that will automatically adjust the riser height to to suit the total vertical rise of the flight, but am having issues.
I drew two 'tread/riser' Plines, and constrained the daylights out of them. By stretching the grip for the 'Total Rise' constraint, the risers adjust nicely, while the treads remain at their desired 11" depth.
My problem is that when I try to create an array of the tread/riser, (using a linear parameter aligned with the slope of the stair) I can't get the 'column' width to change as the risers change height. Instead the value remains constant, and the arrayed copies don't connect with each other.
Any way either to fix this so that that the copies connect 'head-to-tail'?
I've been working on a photo and after painstakingly removing the background (it's transparent now) and finding the perfect background image to put it on, I've run into a problem.
The photo I'm working on is of a person sitting on a motorcycle. The right side of the photo ends half way thru the front tire. Didn't think much about it until I went to paste the photo onto my new background image and realize... with half the front tire missing, I can't center the subject - I have to keep bike to the right so the missing half of the tire is off the edge of the photo.
I am not skilled enough to re-build the missing half of the tire.
base.jpg is the full image on a white background. (I could not figure out how to make the transparent PSD version small enough to upload anywhere.)
tire1, 2, & 3 are pics of the whole tire cropped out of other images of same bike.
tirexx.psd is the tire section of the tranparent psd version of the whole pic. If anyone can rebuild the missing half of the tire, i could just paste it back onto the photo.
I have a photo (attached) and wish to do two things with it. I hope a) to emphasise both the earthenware texture of the vase and its wooden background to give the image some contrast and b), to recolour the brown fence in royal blue. I have tried to do this using the eyedropper tool and then Image | Adjustments | Replace colour, but because the vase itself is coloured in a shade of brown I find that in addition to blue replacing brown as the fence colour, it also replaces it as the colour of the vase.
So, I somehow need to 'lift' the vase from the image, then recolour the fence in isolation, and then put the vase back into the photo - but I am not sure how to do that.

In Max, you used to be able to void out a texture by choosing None to replace Noise or a bitmap in a texture slot.
I don't see a NONE option in the latest material/map browser. How do I do this?
