After Effects :: Aligning / Landing CC Page Turn To Midpoint
Aug 24, 2013
I'm having quite a bit of trouble with achieving a desired effect with CC Page Turn
I'm attempting to make it look as if an open books page is being turned with the centre of the book acting as the Page Turns limit.
When I pull the fold position out fully the page lands way out, I've toyed around with the layers anchor point, and adjusting keyframes of CC Page Turn halfway but no success.
I've included a quick gif to indicate where all is going wrong. I basically want the page to land flush on the left side
IV11, IDW.Is there a way to Disable Midpoint snapping while Dimensioning? It seems to get in the way a lot.A lot of the Lines i have to dimension are small and it's Always trying to dimension to the Midpoints of them rather than end points. Not a bad concept.. just in my case it really gets in the way..So just wondering if there is a setting somewhere to turn it off?
How to make Multi Leader end line landing or turn 90 degree vertical? I just want to use the leader point to the part and no text at the end of the leader. I guess the only way i know how to do right now is to exploded the M-leader and draw a line vertical down which is not recall proper way . Some people like to use just Leader not Multi leader but i like to use M-leader so i can enter the text in difference line. (See Pic below)
Im trying to dimension the midpoints of a series vertical beams thats perpendicular to the x axis. How to dimension the midpoint of one beam to the midpoint of another beam?
Normally i just select dimlinear and then ctl + right click "mid between 2 points", but this way just seems time consuming when you have a series of them to do, is there a better way to dimension a series of beams from one midpoint to another midpoint?
Is there a way to align text or an object on a page? I have done this using the guides, but there has to be an easier way! I'm looking for vertical and horizontal alignment.
I've imported the PSD file as a comp, and made changes to the text animation, but this is now a nested comp, and the music is in the main comp. How do I change the timing of the nested comp while still having visibility of the music track?
I really don't know what you call what I need.. but.. I want to create a template that looks something like if the page is going to turn.. like for example.. you know when you are reading a book right.. and you grab the top right hand corner to switch pages? well.. that is what I want.. I need a tutorial on how to do this in Illustrator .. or photoshop...
I am using VS ProX3 & have just purchased PaintShop ProX3. PaintShop has a very nice page transition in the photobook section & I would love to have that, or something like it, available for VS. I've searched the forum for any info on a page turn transition that actually looks like a page turning.... any transition like this for VS?
I tried the slideshows in Paintshop but had difficulty with using various sized photos & the panning effects, etc. So I created my project again as a photobook & it was superb as far as that went....I'd like to time the animation of those pages (similar to MS PowerPoint transitions) & add music BUT I cannot seem to accomplish that there. Next I saved all pages as .jpg, imported those to VS & created a very nice movie with available transitions, music, titles, etc. This is acceptable, BUT I would love to have that particular "page turning" transition for VS.
I'm working on a design in Illustrator CS5 which has textures and drop-shadows applied to most of the objects. I want to make some changes to the colors, but it re-renders the effects each time I change things. Is there some way to globally disable effects and just display strokes, fills and gradients? I know about outline mode, but that's useless for editing colors. Surely I don't have to go through every object and disable the effects one by one and then turn them all back on later?
I d'l'd the CS5 MC and everything was fine up until yesterday. AE is now crashing at the splash page. The first message is: "After Effects warning: Unable to create font." After hitting "OK", I then get "After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during startup." I uninstalled and reinstalled AE twice (using the trial and onlt reinstalling AE as everything else is fine) but am still getting the same message. I then tried the CS5 cleanup utility only to have it crash and had to force quit that. I am running an iMac intel dual core. 2.4 g w/ 3 gigs ram.
I am having an issue that cropped up as of late - I try to create a virtual copy of a photo, but instead of the normal page-turn icon in the bottom left and it auto-expanding to show the copies, it just creates a stack, and says "2" or "1 of 2" and the double line bars on both sides of the preview in Grid Mode. Is there a setting that I changed that caused that?
I can't snap to a midpoint in a line. For example, If I draw a line 10" long, I can't draw a line from the center of that line. It used to give me an auto snap option to go to, but now it only allows me to snap to the ends of that line.
Say you have a square and you want to draw a line from the midpoint of one side to the other, can you set something so that it tells you when you are exactly on the midpoint of a line?
I'm new to working with dynamic blocks, using AutoCAD 2007. I have a base cabinet elevation block and want to have it so that when I change the height the door swing line stays at the midpoint of the door.
Is there a command out there that allows you to mirror objects from an apparent midpoint from like an otrack without physically drawing a line then having to erase it later? I thought there was a way to do it, but my memory is failing me.
However, I can't see how to do the same operation to find the midpoint of a SketchArc. The interface of course has a selection filter for this so I assume the API can do the same?
on my work pc i'm missing two features i used to have:
- Firstly, when i click a PL i can't see the midpoint of the line, and can't drag the line like i used to. I tried to change GRIPS, but can only choose between 0 and 1 when choosing grips. 0 being nothing visible, 1 being visible endpoints of the polylines. 2 is NOT valid options that i can choose.
- I can't add a new vertex. I think the way i used to do it was to hover over the midpoint and it would suggest if i wanted to add a new vertex. If this is the case, it's obvious that if i get problem 1 fixed, problem 2 will solve itself.
How do I make a leader, no text, no landing, grippers on both ends. Every time I go to grab the gripper on the non-arrow side of the leader it moves away from me . The line just moves away from the pointer at an ever increasing speed and distance).
I just upgraded to AutoCAD Lt 2012. In the settings, I was able to figure out how to automatically get a landing line and how long I want it to be. But! When I draw the leader to left of center, it puts the landing on the left side of the line. How can I turn that auto-directional thing off?
I need to define a mate constraint with a workplane as EntityOne and a midpoint from an Edge as EntityTwo.
API-Help tells me valid objects are planar faces, linear edges, vertices, cylindrical faces, conical faces, spherical faces, revolved faces, work planes, work axes, and work points.
The Edge object gives me StartVertex and StopVertex, but what about the midpoint?
At a multileader when "automatically include landing" is set to "NO" or unchecked, then a small point (like that at the end of a dimension line) is inserted in the callout block, such as the circle, which then prints. This makes for less than clean drafting to say the least--is this normal? If so, (why?!), is there any way to NOT have those points print/show up?
I have a weird issue with Mleader landing lines. In AutoCAD 2012, I get only one arrow grip on mleader landing lines when I select an mleader (see image below) In AutoCAD 2010 - when I open the same exact drawing - I get TWO arrow grips when I select an mleader.
