I was unable to fully launch Autocad2010,2012 or 2013. It would almost deploy and then disappear from the screen.Autocad support yet unable to repair. Decided to uninstall and reinstall software. I now have software fully deploying but if you draw a square it views like a rectangle.
View 2 RepliesI have 2 rectangles and i want to loft them by path.I want the path to be arc , but i cant draw the arc in isometric view. The objects are positioned something like thes 2 smiles. One is exactly above the other and i want to draw arc to connect them and then use loft but cant make the arc. I tried to draw the arc in Front view, but i then i couldnt use it as loft path.So how to make the arc in 3d?

Curious is there is way that is automated to do this. I can rotate each section (image) as needed for the spot, but want to take a picture and cut it into equal squares.
My problem is that, i can only draw in the top view, but when i change the view, in the viewcube to front, left, and draw a circle or a polygon, only appears a thin line.
Before when i changue the view to another face, i can draw circles or any form. I think is something related to the UCS., and the Z axis
How do i draw dimensions in a certain 3d view so that it shows up according to that view? For example, I'm in isometric view but when i draw a dimension it shows up in 2d at wrong angle.

When drawing rectangles a symbol ( verticle line with arrow pointing to left ) is below and to the right of the cursor, The rectangles are drawn at an angle. How do I draw them horizintally?

I can see lines as I draw once I specify the first point with ortho on or off, but I can't see shapes (dimensions, circles, rectangles, ellipse, or box) while I draw. Once I select the second point the object does appear but a setting has changed and I can't figure out how to get it back to normal.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI created 8 points (4 locations with 2 depths in each location) in the DWG of my AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 project. I grouped these 8 points into 2 Point Groups: Point Group 1-high depth has Points #1, #3, #5, #7, and Point Group 2-low depth has #2, #4, #6, #8. I changed the 2D Wireframe to 3D Wireframe and on TOP view I saw Point Group 1 is on the top of Point Group 2 (because the 2 Point Groups have the same values of X- and Y-coordinates with different Z(elevation) value - see the first attached file. How can I change the TOP view to the TOP-FRONT view by using some Command to get this fixed TOP-Front view thar has the good separation of the 2 depths as shown in the second attached file?

The only problem that I have is that the automated fill hatch that I'm using between my existing and finish profiles is showing up behind the grid lines. Unfortunately, we use "lines overwrite" as a standard, so I can't just switch to "lines merge". Any way or a setting that would allow me to move the draw order of the fill hatch above the grid lines?

i have a template, created a viewport and fit the model view in the layout space. However, when i scale the template... the viewport model doesn't follows the layout scale. Is there any ways to fit it so that when i scale the template i don't have to set the view again.

I am trying to insert blocks into my drawings and for the most part I have been successful using Design Center. However, I have difficulties turning some of those blocks from the Plan View into the Elevation View, even when they show as elevation blocks. Even the downloads that show as 3-D end up being inserted as 2-D in plan view. In floor plan mode, I have no problem; so how do I turn them into 2-D in elevation mode?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created a profile. I have my surfaces, projected other surfaces onto it, looks good. So then, I want to do some simple drawing on my profile. Everything looks good in model space. Create a viewport for the profile and things(basic linework) appear in a different location than where I drew them. I figure I need to project an object to make it work because they are associated.
So I draw my simple arc ( arch culvert) with footings and block it. great its where i want it and its a block. Gave it the appropriate elevation when creating the block. go through the project objects and it added. But now its added it in a different spot.
Is there a way to have no view transition when changing views with the view cube? I'd prefer that it just switch to the desired view instantly with no transition.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to make Draw Order work well. The attached file and other ones I created would not work. The goal is to have the boarder and text (color 7) always stay on top after it is created as a block and pasted to any drawing. After pasting it, the text go underneath the shade (color 155). I have used Draw Order, picked the objects in the order I would like, repeated the same steps inside the Block Editor and Edit Block In-Place, still, the block would not work. I never had this issue before - seem to have stared today. Don't know what else to do. The only thing that works is keep recreating the block till one works, which seldom works.

I have a problem drawing straight lines. Normally, like everyone, I will start from any given point and the line i wish to draw will snap to 0, 90 or 180 degrees. However there is now no snapping and no straight lines.
I have tried resetting SNAPANG to 0 (it is already set to 0) and this works for maybe the next 3 lines but then I am back to square one and cannot draw a straight line without constantly having to reset SNAPANG.
I've tried resetting USC to world. I've also tried changing PLAN to view and world.
I need to draw a cylindrical cam in Inventor Professional 2013. I tried using the cam module but it is not what I need. My cam can be generated by a third-degree polynomial. You could use the new "curve from equation"?

I want to write "arc" in the command line, and start drawing it by its center first, then its start point, and I finally the end one. I don't want the default 3 points method.
I do this faster drawing circles and trimming them, than selecting the suboptions of the arc (center, start, etc.). It should not be XD .
I have been trying to get this effect with the blend tool and many different circles/elipses. I come close but think there must be an easier way to achieve this effect.
