How to change the default behavior when I draw an arc?
I want to write "arc" in the command line, and start drawing it by its center first, then its start point, and I finally the end one. I don't want the default 3 points method.
I do this faster drawing circles and trimming them, than selecting the suboptions of the arc (center, start, etc.). It should not be XD .
Is there a way to change the default Resize behavior for pipes. I'd like to have it set to crown. I can change it for each pipe but that's gets tiring after a little bit.

I have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5. It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously. I couldn't think of anything weird that happened (a crash, a new plug-in, etc.). I can't find a preference that sets this behavior either.

My AutoCAD 2013 crashed and as a result the recovered file was saved in 2013 format, instead of my automatic save profile option version set to AutoCAD 2000.
As we have other users in the office without AutoCAD 2013, how do i change the default crash save to a newer version (ie. AutoCAD 2000)?
when I use the shortcut key to increase my brush size, from 1 to 10, it increase at a 1 rate per click.
but hen I hit 10, next one is 20px. how can I change this behavior to go to 11?
How to change the zoom in and out behaviour of the middle mouse wheel in Windows GIMP to work without having to press the ^ (control) button on the keyboard? I'm using to zooming in and out using just the mouse wheel alone and hoping that a setting in GIMP could be changed so that it also works without pressing the ^ (control) button at the same time.
I've googled this along with a few other things over last couple of days but no luck. Can this be done?

Is there a setting somewhere to make it default to not draw a line?

Working on setting up 2013 for our department. By default we use the application option - Part Tab - of creating a sketch on the x-z plane upon new part creation. Now this actually works, problem is you can't draw on it, or you can't see what you are drawing. If you exit out of the sketch and start a new one then it works. I have found that if you switch the setting to the y-z plane is does the same thing. Switching it to no new sketch or the x-y plane and it works fine. Tying to determine if it's actually a bug in inventor or if it's just something with what I am doing or our template files.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have loaded copies of AutoCAD Architecture 2013 on several workstations. We had tried brining over older profiles (from 2008)- which did not work, so made up new ones. ANYTIME we go into the profile settings to load a different profile beyond the default, AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial), eventually while working the program will crash. We've wiped out installations of the program, registry and all, and re-installed without brining over any prior data. Same issue.
Even when using a seperate "default" profile us as (Global) or (Metric)- same issues. The problem with staying/modifying the workspace for the US Imperial is it will not load the complete menus with the MENULOAD command (only loads EXPRESS). If we work within the (US Imperial), no crashing, but again, the menus are not available within that profile for some reason, so that is not an acceptable solution.
My problem is that, i can only draw in the top view, but when i change the view, in the viewcube to front, left, and draw a circle or a polygon, only appears a thin line.
Before when i changue the view to another face, i can draw circles or any form. I think is something related to the UCS., and the Z axis
How do we draw three lines instead on one? As an architect, the exterior walls are 3-lines for brick construction. How can I draw with 3-lines instead of one in Aouto Cad 13 for Mac?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to make Draw Order work well. The attached file and other ones I created would not work. The goal is to have the boarder and text (color 7) always stay on top after it is created as a block and pasted to any drawing. After pasting it, the text go underneath the shade (color 155). I have used Draw Order, picked the objects in the order I would like, repeated the same steps inside the Block Editor and Edit Block In-Place, still, the block would not work. I never had this issue before - seem to have stared today. Don't know what else to do. The only thing that works is keep recreating the block till one works, which seldom works.

I have a problem drawing straight lines. Normally, like everyone, I will start from any given point and the line i wish to draw will snap to 0, 90 or 180 degrees. However there is now no snapping and no straight lines.
I have tried resetting SNAPANG to 0 (it is already set to 0) and this works for maybe the next 3 lines but then I am back to square one and cannot draw a straight line without constantly having to reset SNAPANG.
I've tried resetting USC to world. I've also tried changing PLAN to view and world.
I need to draw a cylindrical cam in Inventor Professional 2013. I tried using the cam module but it is not what I need. My cam can be generated by a third-degree polynomial. You could use the new "curve from equation"?

The user redefines the block and the xrefs change their draw order in the viewport. A regen does not unfortunately correct the issue.Drawings were created with Civil 3D 2010. I have just started working with Architecture 2011, so perhaps there is some strange issue at work here, but I haven't come across it previous releases. Whenever I switch from model tab (in 2D wireframe) to a layout tab and then back to model space, the visual style automatically switches itself to "Wireframe" or "3D Parallel Project", instead staying 2D Wireframe. It is highly annoying as I have to hit the 2D Wireframe button on the Visual Style Menu everytime a switch. This also occurs everytime a hit the Save button. It won't stay put in the visual style that it should.
