May 29, 2012I have LWPOLYLINEs that represent a cross section of a train tunnel. Each LWPOLYLINE lists its 2D points in an Object Coordinate System.My task is to create 3D Polylines in WorldCoordinateSystem using those LWPOLYLINEs.I have posted a drawing with sample objects.
I have attached a sample drawing. Drawing was created with Civil 3D 2013, but I exporttoautocadr12dxf'd it and then save to 2004 dwg so most should be able to open it.

Dec 15, 2013When I have to scale something after bringing it in from another drawing (Windows copy, paste), usually (but strangely not always, it seems) the dimension text and arrows are all messed up. If I scale down, they are (obviously) way too big, up, and they are microscopic. How is this best avoided / dealt with? I imagine it is something with the DIMSTYLE not being copied over or something?

Dec 17, 2013I have received details that have been blocked that I need to edit. When I expode or burst them, the dims text and arrows grow larger than is required for the block and I cannot find any adjustment in the properties to bring them back to the correct size for the detail. Also the leaders lose their point and association with their text and become just a line.
Is there a command that will allow me to edit the block without loosing the current sizing and associations?

Oct 15, 2012I have been unable to make Draw Order work well. The attached file and other ones I created would not work. The goal is to have the boarder and text (color 7) always stay on top after it is created as a block and pasted to any drawing. After pasting it, the text go underneath the shade (color 155). I have used Draw Order, picked the objects in the order I would like, repeated the same steps inside the Block Editor and Edit Block In-Place, still, the block would not work. I never had this issue before - seem to have stared today. Don't know what else to do. The only thing that works is keep recreating the block till one works, which seldom works.

I have a problem drawing straight lines. Normally, like everyone, I will start from any given point and the line i wish to draw will snap to 0, 90 or 180 degrees. However there is now no snapping and no straight lines.
I have tried resetting SNAPANG to 0 (it is already set to 0) and this works for maybe the next 3 lines but then I am back to square one and cannot draw a straight line without constantly having to reset SNAPANG.
I've tried resetting USC to world. I've also tried changing PLAN to view and world.

Sep 4, 2012I opened Inventor 2013 this morning to find this issue. Everything starts fine, I am able to open/create a part file and enter sketch mode, but as soon as I click a draw operation (spline, line, rectangle, etc.) it freezes on me. I have been using 2013 for a couple months now without issue, and cannot associate this with a change of anything on my computer.I have tried:
1) Restarting computer
2) Reducing graphics display quality to Rough
3) Checking "Software Graphics"
4) Calibrate my 3Dconnexion mouse
5) The diagnostic check for graphics card (approved)

Nov 18, 2013I have terrible lag whenever I am drawing a polyline. It seems like it is taking forever to render the preview of the line when I am dragging the line across the screen. I would prefer to just turn off the line preview if at all possible. So far, I have not been able to find a way to do this. When I say preview of the line, I am talking about the transparent line that follows your cursor after you start a polyline and exists until you click to place the line where you want it.

Aug 8, 2012Recieved a ACAD converted Microstation File for use in an upcoming construction project. Would like to convert all of the existing ellipses to polylines. Have read several threads that lead me to believe redrawing them is about the only real way to do it. Posting here in hopes of a solution. Drawing contains 127 ellipses, and I dont want to redraw all of them!!
Currently on C3D2012.
