Photoshop :: How To Divide Picture Into 9 Equal Squares/rectangles?
Jul 23, 2007
simple way to do this with Photoshop (I have CS)? I need the nine separate jpeg images for the flash version, I understand this example is just one jpeg and is used in the standard html version of a template I have....
Curious is there is way that is automated to do this. I can rotate each section (image) as needed for the spot, but want to take a picture and cut it into equal squares.

I was unable to fully launch Autocad2010,2012 or 2013. It would almost deploy and then disappear from  the screen.Autocad support yet unable to repair. Decided to uninstall and reinstall software. I now have software fully deploying but if you draw a square it views like a rectangle.

I have been designing a structure and a large proportion of the shapes are irregular.
I need to equally divided the area within the irregular shapes as even as possible to creating smaller individual spaces.
Is there some kind of command that you can use to equalling divide the area of a shape within AutoCAD 2013?

How can I divide a line into equal segments in Illustrator? This is computer software, right? Shouldn't a computer be able to figure how to segment an arbitrary line? I tried turning the line into a sliced object and dividing that, but it didn't seem to work. Pathfinder only works on two or more objects.

I need to divide irregular shapes into equal parts. For example, the attached shape needs to be divided into 10 equal parts. Parametres could be set such as all dividing lines are horizontal.
I need to do this in autocad (2013) if possible.
The closest discussion I found on this was at [URL] ......

I want to divide object into multiple object equally distribued. But my object is a "S", this is not a basic rectangle. And i want to apply this technique to other objects. I don't know if it's possible to do that with illustrator because it seems a little bit complicated.

How can I resize a photo in Elements 12, using the squares around the picture? I want to change the shape of the photo - in my old version, when I changed the size/shape, it would cut off part of the picture (which is what I want in order to get the size I want), whereas in Elements 12 it is just stretching and distorting the photo.

I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.

I have an image that I want to automatically cut into smaller pieces, probably all with the same width and height. For example, when I have an image of 1000x1000 pixels, I need/want to "slice" it into many 50x50 pieces (as if I would cut along an imaginary grid). Since this process could end up with many such small pieces, a manual approach would take me some time (at least I think so).
Thus, is there an easy/automatic way of how to accomplish this task?

I have tried this feature with mixed results. Scaning 2,3 or 4 pictures of different sizes, changing angles using an HP8600 Multifunction device. I have tried both scannig using HP software and directly with Elements at 200, 300 and 600 dpi. Elemets will sometime split off one of the pics but is not reliably sepatating them all. What ca I do to improve my results? I have a lot of pics to scan and really don't want to do them one at a time.

I have moved the library folder in OSX and then tried to start lightroom again pointing it to the new library location. Afterwards all Previews were replaced by grey squares (with color curves showing on the right, stars etc. but no image). It looks like the previews are not created but all the information are there

why when moving to the Developer rider, the Photos appear and i can work on it again. Thereafter it also appears again in the previews. S

Tried to optimize library but after 6 days of process ongoing i stopped with no changes at all to the library. Have about 60k photos in the library.I have tried the monitor settings but that makes no difference. This also happens with newly imported pictures, the ones that were appearing clearly in the library are grey at the next start of the project.running lightroom 5 with imac and latest osx.

I tried to do that kind of sig, but I can't do this flipping (it this right word to describe this effect?) squares. I tried transforming, but it always looked weird... I know for sure that this was made in PS/ImageReady.
I searched on some forums, but I can't find nothing in tutorials that are similar to this... So, please, does anyone know how to make that flipping? Thanks in advance for anything, that can help.

I was trying to creating a bounding box, and I wanted it to be curved. I know how to do it with a selection, but I really don't want that because I want to have this as a vector. I need to use a shape. But when I use the shapes, they keep filling with a colour, and when I turn that off, I can't keep the outside border on.

I am in the business of 3d design, and have recently been learning a lot about the software I use. It works best with square textures (512x512 and maybe 1024x1024). Some of the textures i create for my models are tall and narrow, or short and skinny. For example, on a 600 foot skyscraper, my texture may be 1024x4096. What I normally do is manually cut this image into 4 textures that are 1024x1024, and apply them to their respective places on the face so the exporter doesn't diminish the quality as much. (The exporter I use takes the longest dimension of the face in the 3d model and reduces it to 512px wide, and so in this example the short dimension would become 128px, which is very low res, imo).
Is there a script that would better serve my purposes here, that would breakwhatever image i am editing in Photoshop into square chunks?
In the most extreme case, I had to take an image that was 1024x24576, and chop it into 8 different images, and i remember this process being difficult to accomplish seemlessly.

When I erase in Photoshop part of a drawing, gray rectangles appear. How can I eliminate them? In other words: every time I erase something, text or drawings, those gray rectangles appear. Is there a way to erase something leaving that part just white, so there I can write or draw whatever is needed?
