I'm using ACAD (2011) most of the time in 3D. I like to work that way and it goes really fast!
Now, sometimes I want to flatten my 3D drawing and show my obscured lines and make them dashed afterwards. With the flatten command and explode it works fine... but... some lines just move! For example, a block with size 100,200,100 turns into a square with size 100.9 x 199.3, even if I use the command in 100% top view!
previously i was using civil 3d 2010, now while i am using 2012. i want to create a grid of points with easting and northing. i have manually created a point but when i use array command it does not work properly. as u can see in this image.
i created point with proper values of easing and northing but after array easing northing values becomes just -19.
I'm used to work with an ortographic wireframe view and a perspective shaded view (from other 3d app), I've tried to reproduce this in Max, without much success, the problem is switching between the ortographic views, the hotkeys doesn't work properly (the camera never displays what I want after switching) and the ViewCube seems somewhat better, however, when switching views using the ViewCube, sometimes it just doesn't align perfectly with the view so the grid doesn't appear, and I need the grid on the ortho viewport.My install is fully updated. I would like to know if it's possible to make it work properly, if possible with hotkeys. I've already tried to disable the animation, it seems to work a bit, but when I switch to the back view, this bug always pops in.

I have a problem with CS3. Since a few weeks I can't use properly "Colour Range" feature.
Especially for bright colour the Colour Range doesn't select what I want to select. For example I want to select a bright cloud and can't select it with Colour Range. Of course I checked if there is any information or I have a burn area. I use several different setting but I still have the problem.
I used 8/16 bit, Adobe RGB/sRGB
At Colour Range I use:
- Sampled colours
- Selection
- Fuzziness: how much I need it
- Selection preview: None
As what the title says, inputting Chinese characters in Illustrator CC on Mac is not possible. Is there any way to fix this besides waiting for Adobe to release a patch?

View 8 Replies View RelatedIf I have elements on separate levels and I use the colour range option to select the area, it works on all the levels, not just the level I have selected. That's not what I want! I only want it to select the colour range on that one level. The work around is to manually turn off other levels, but on a file with lots of levels, that can be tedious. Can this be avoided? Incidentally, magic wand works only on the selected level, but not colour range (or color range, if you are American).
View 15 Replies View RelatedThere is still an issue with making new actions that include saving for web. While recording the action, save for web functions as it should. But once the action is played, regardless of the original format the saved image should be, it gives it an html filename extension.

I have spoken about this bug with a friend that is a computer programmer. Considering that the action is saving the file correctly, and it's only the name that is not saving properly indicates that this is a superficial error, and not an issue that would require rewriting the code completely. Also consider that this WAS functioning properly in CS5, and that this is a very easily reproducible bug.
When I try to open the material browser in Revit 2014, the screen opens. But suddenly Revit in totally doesn't work and it says 'Does not respond'When i try to close the material browser the whole program closes and my work is lost unsaved.

Says it will not open because it is the wrong type of file. What am I doing wrong? when I open it in Elements, it is exactly what I wanted. View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I click on an eye symbol the symbol disappears, but not the elements on the screen like you should expect. There's also a weird behavior with the lock symbols. If I lock a layer, I can click the paths anyway. The lock symbols doesn't work anymore. The whole layers palette is useless now. I tried to remove the whole "Adobe Illustrator 17 Settings" folder, but that had no positive effect.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI need to print this drawing and I cannot get either print to PDF or print to printer working properly.
I was asked to create a local area map of the site and i used a google map image as the map. I have a paper space layout with labels and the company title block, with a raster image reference in the model space viewport, when I go to print this drawing using plot PDF the image comes out so grainy it's useless. When I plot to printer the paper space layout comes out great but only a slice of the raster image is printed.
No indication of problems can be seen in autocad's preview mode, and this doesn't happen outside of Autocad- I can open the image and have it print to PDF clearly, and I can open the image and print to printer without problems.

The image is supposed to fill the whole viewport, but most of the viewport is blank.

Although I downloaded and installed the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Module 32bit (from URL....), the printing Plug-in can not work with autocad 2010.the commands from the plug-in cannot be recognized.

In upgrading to LR4 I wish to keep my process 2010 photos as process 2010. There is no need to redo them because the update pretty much forces you to start again with most processed photos.
My problem is that I now find that LR4 greys out the detail and color sliders for Luminance and color noise reductionas if they are process 2003 photos. That is, I do not have access to the detail and color for the noise reduction section.
I can only assume this is a bug or that Adobe have changed the Noise reduction engine.
I have a 3d drawing file which I manually flattened except the section. The ground plan is at 0 Z axis.
Now I am trying to draw lines on top of it, and I cannot extend my lines. Any solution to this?
Additional question:
I also had some difficulties when I was trying to flatten the 3d model. "Flatten" command did not work. I understand Flatshot did not work because these are not solids. But why Flatten did not work? That was why I had to manually change start and end of z position.
Publish comment doesn't work correct. Even if I set multi-sheet file and prompt for name, autocad doesn't ask me about file name and makes single sheet files.

Is there another way to do this or do I have to redraw the multileaders?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have and array that looks fine in model space but when viewed in a viewport from paperspace, sections of the array look like they are wiped out. Going back to model space everything looks fine. The only way I can get it to fill in is to delete the viewport and create another one. It's then fine for awhile but before long, areas are missing again. I've redone the viewport three times and it's starting to drive me nuts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSomething strange happened recently where in order for my Right-Click Menu commands to work properly, and the double click ddedit to work, I had to take the "^C^C" out of the macro. All my related variables are set correctly, PICKFIRST, DBLCLKEDIT, etc...
What is happening is, I would get a selection set, right-click, copy with base point. Normally because the selection set is there, once a base point is selected, the command ends. In this case, after specifying the basepoint, I am asked to select objects again... This goes for ALL right click menu commands. Command line input is NOT affected.
This was exported to tif and sent to the printer, the glow is a white outer glow.
As I usually do I exported the whole thing to a TIF and low and behold black lines in the print.
This was the bullet proof way of getting what you saw on the screen to hadcopy but sadly no more.

I've got a problem with simulating a benchframe. The frame is attached to the car's body with 4 flat braces. I now want to attach the braces to the benchframe, but leave them to be able to rotate from each other.
I have fixed them to the body using a pin constraint, which works pretty straight forward but I'm not able to get this working on the side of the benchframe.
I have placed 4 pins, to allign the components and assigned manual contacts with "sliding/no separation" but now the whole construction doesnt move sideways in the X-direction and enormous stresses are developed because the benchframe is not deforming either. I have assigned every contact point and surfaces between the benchframe and the braces as "sliding/no separation".
In the attached part if I change the value of the length parameter from 19" to 20" Work Axis 1 updates to the 19" location, if I change it back from 20" to 19" it goes to the 20" position.
In the images below, the axis should be in the center of that last slot.
