Photoshop :: Crop Doesn't Work Properly
Jan 10, 2006When I have a large image and I try to crop it I cannot control where the crop is to take place. Sometimes I cannot make the selection as large as I want.

Photoshop :: CS4! 3D Doesnt Work
Nov 3, 2008I can not make anything in 3D. I think in CS3 it doesnt work too. But in graphic programs like MAYA and 3DS MAX i can make 3D objects and others but in Photoshop not. In Photoshop CS 4 I opened new document, with brush i wrote "Hello" and clicked on menu "3D" but there is everything disable :-/. My graphic card is "Ati Mobility Radeon XPRESS 200 series.

Apr 5, 2005my keyboard short cut for ctrl+ a doesn't work, for some reason. All the other keyboard shortcuts work, except for that one (At least i think so..). I read through numerous threads about why keyboard short cuts do not work. 1. they are cracked copies of photoshop, 2. they are using logitech keyboards.
But I'm not using a cracked copy, and I just upgraded my logitech drivers to the newest ones.. and the problem just started yesterday without any reason. But when I change my short cut from ctrl a to.. something else, say alt+ctrl+a. it works.. but I prefer the old ctrl A.

Oct 28, 2013I am using Adobe Photoshop CC and I want to crop an image by a specific Width x Height. In previous versions of Photoshop, I was easily able to select the crop tool and input the dimensions up top where it would be labeled as W x H. Now, there are no options for W x H now and all I can choose are weird ratios. I have looked online on how to use the crop tool, and every single tutorial I've looked at says to use the Width x Height option, AKA unconstrained, but that doesn't exist. Instead, all I can choose are ratios and there are arrows in between the input boxes instead of an "x" symbol. I've attached an image to show what few options I have, none of which are Width x Height or unconstrained.

Having cropped my view I then go into the browser to edit the crop (edit sketch), the lines on the crop window will not move and I am unable to edit the selection, why is this not working ? Occasionaly I can move / resize one or two of the crop boundry lines but never all of them.Â

Photoshop :: Character Spacing In CC Does Not Work Properly?
Jul 31, 2013When I (as I have in Photoshop CS2,3,4,5,5.5 and 6) click in the letting menu and change the letting, it allows me to change it and then when I click enter, it jumps down to a completely different number. I set it to 200 and hit enter and it drop to 19. I change it to 200 again, it becomes 47.Â

Photoshop :: 3 New Blurs In CS6 No Longer Work Properly
Apr 7, 2013There used to be a circle onscreen that you could turn to change the amount of blur. And there were lines and or oval areas that could be made bigger or smaller to influence the area of blur. And while there are still pins that can still be placed to further control the blur, they don't really work. I also have the same problem with the new lighting effects as well.

May 13, 2012I purchased and upgraded to Lightroom 4.0. Got things to work fine with some ACR updates for Photoshop CS3 that I'm currently using. Now have ACR 4.6 installed (the latest for my version of PS) as well as ACR 6.7.

I was able to make edits to the DNG RAW files in Lightroom 4.0 and then choose Edit in Photoshop (Command-E) and see those changes in a PSD file in Photoshop, where I could make further changes.

All of a sudden, I went to edit a photo in Photoshop and saw the original DNG file with no Lightroom edits. Some tinkering and update to Lightroom 4.1 but nothing can seem to make it show those Lightroom edits now when I go to Photoshop.

Oct 19, 2008I have a problem with CS3. Since a few weeks I can't use properly "Colour Range" feature.
Especially for bright colour the Colour Range doesn't select what I want to select. For example I want to select a bright cloud and can't select it with Colour Range. Of course I checked if there is any information or I have a burn area. I use several different setting but I still have the problem.
I used 8/16 bit, Adobe RGB/sRGB
At Colour Range I use:
- Sampled colours
- Selection
- Fuzziness: how much I need it
- Selection preview: None

May 26, 2013Photoshop Elements 11 gives the opportunity to share pictures with Facebook. The facebook uploader doesn't work for me. Uploading in high resolution won't work at all. But even in standard resolution, the following problems occur:
1) uploader does not recognise albums in facebook, and
2) worst of all: uploades images won't be visible to friends, unless they dive into yout profile. I mean: in the uploader window i choose: visible to friends. When i log on to facebook, the images are there, but they are tagged as privat. Untagging them to 'visible for friends' won't work.

Photoshop :: Selecting With Colour Range Doesn't Work Properly
Sep 18, 2012If I have elements on separate levels and I use the colour range option to select the area, it works on all the levels, not just the level I have selected. That's not what I want! I only want it to select the colour range on that one level. The work around is to manually turn off other levels, but on a file with lots of levels, that can be tedious. Can this be avoided? Incidentally, magic wand works only on the selected level, but not colour range (or color range, if you are American).

Aug 31, 2012There is still an issue with making new actions that include saving for web. While recording the action, save for web functions as it should. But once the action is played, regardless of the original format the saved image should be, it gives it an html filename extension.

I have spoken about this bug with a friend that is a computer programmer. Considering that the action is saving the file correctly, and it's only the name that is not saving properly indicates that this is a superficial error, and not an issue that would require rewriting the code completely. Also consider that this WAS functioning properly in CS5, and that this is a very easily reproducible bug.

Feb 6, 2013I'm used to work with an ortographic wireframe view and a perspective shaded view (from other 3d app), I've tried to reproduce this in Max, without much success, the problem is switching between the ortographic views, the hotkeys doesn't work properly (the camera never displays what I want after switching) and the ViewCube seems somewhat better, however, when switching views using the ViewCube, sometimes it just doesn't align perfectly with the view so the grid doesn't appear, and I need the grid on the ortho viewport.My install is fully updated. I would like to know if it's possible to make it work properly, if possible with hotkeys. I've already tried to disable the animation, it seems to work a bit, but when I switch to the back view, this bug always pops in.

Jan 11, 2012Something strange happened recently where in order for my Right-Click Menu commands to work properly, and the double click ddedit to work, I had to take the "^C^C" out of the macro. All my related variables are set correctly, PICKFIRST, DBLCLKEDIT, etc...
What is happening is, I would get a selection set, right-click, copy with base point. Normally because the selection set is there, once a base point is selected, the command ends. In this case, after specifying the basepoint, I am asked to select objects again... This goes for ALL right click menu commands. Command line input is NOT affected.
Lightroom :: Folder Synchronization Does Not Work Properly?
May 19, 2012I recently upgraded to LR4 (on OS X 10.7.4), but this problem was also present in the previous version.I usually move photos around using the OS X Finder (as sometimes they are outside my Lightroom catalog). To make the updates available in Lightroom I've always used the "Synchronize Folder" option. It did work perfectly for some time, but lately that is not the case.For example, here's a folder called "Parents".I added some photos to it using Finder, then tried to sync it.
Normally Lightroom would find the new files and allow me to import them. What happens here is that Lightroom wants to remove all the photos that already exist in the folder (and Lightroom catalog) and then re-import all of them + the new ones.
First I tried to select "Import new photos -> Show import dialog" and import only the new photos. That didn't work, too. (Please see the image below; however in this sample I've chosen to import/remove all of them).

As you can see Lightroom re-imports the folder as a top-level folder, but it should be a subfolder to "Other". When I try to move it manually to "Other" I get an error message that tells me that I can't do that as a folder with the same name is already there.
Photoshop :: CS3 Doesnt Let Me Save As
Apr 7, 2008it allows me to save normaly, but if i want/need to change a file type, or name and i click "save as" the save as window pops up for a brief moment then disapears.and photoshop feezes. it doesnt really crash, it just freezes and i have to go into task manger to close it.
im a digital artist so my cs3 program is really important...i need it up and running again!! any help here?
ive already tried ALT+Spacebar and then M to see if the window was juust off screen, but it didnt work. ><''
besides the program lagging ocassionaly with big file loads/saves everything works fine. its just this problem that keeps me from workng!
Photoshop :: CS3 Doesnt Open More Than One...
Aug 8, 2008I have win XP + Adobe CS 3 Standard installed on my pc: when i open more than one photo at the same time with Photoshop CS3, the application immediately close.
I have two pc with the same configuration and i have the same problem. Note that i have Adobe CS2 installed + upgrade to Adobe CS 3. If i use Photoshop CS 2 i dont have trouble.

May 7, 2012In the attached part if I change the value of the length parameter from 19" to 20" Work Axis 1 updates to the 19" location, if I change it back from 20" to 19" it goes to the 20" position.
In the images below, the axis should be in the center of that last slot.
GIMP :: Select By Color Tool Won't Work Properly?
Jul 13, 2013I'm looking at tutorials on how to add strokes to text (I downloaded it today) and they say to use the color select tool. In their demonstration, when they select text, it has the normal dotted lines around it. For me, when I click it just has a thick border around it and it tells me to move my mouse to change the threshold. It won't select the text, just change the threshold when moving my mouse from left to right.

Now, sometimes I want to flatten my 3D drawing and show my obscured lines and make them dashed afterwards. With the flatten command and explode it works fine... but... some lines just move! For example, a block with size 100,200,100 turns into a square with size 100.9 x 199.3, even if I use the command in 100% top view!
