Aug 7, 2011i know you can drop a color on the bevel but is there a way to apply a texture to the bevel only and not the face of the object?

When I get done with the alpha mask, how do I get the text only as my selected object so that the bevel tool will apply the bevel to only the text?

I'm trying to get the text effect in this link: [URL] or something close to it. A previous post asked the same thing but the only answers he got was how to make it look gold, not how to do all the beveling, textures, sparkles, etc. For now though, all I'm wanting to do is achieve the bevel effect before I move on.
edit: the weird thing is, I can use the outline tool and it will apply only to the text. but when i use the bevel tool, it applies to the outer edges of the canvas.

Oct 29, 2013How do I make a round object really really round? I keep getting this chiseled look no matter how I set it. The top and bottom of a rectangle have a cut glass look and I want this to be completely ROUND. Not just the top and bottom, but the whole thing needs to be round and beveled.

I am trying to create some domes in my maps that have an effect much like that. I know with the contour tool I can create a dome with horizontal lines, but is there a way to do it with vertical lines?

May 12, 2012I am bringing into an old photo which is in fact a scan of a printed photo, an item selected from a recently taken photo and I need it to look as if it belongs to the old photo.

The immediate difference is in the texture, best shown with a photo here. try viewing it also by moving head laft and right ! I can even see a regular pattern of something within the cruder pixels. I could take days to try out various filters, it may be it requires a combination of filters and given the variables involved the chances of hitting upon the right settings and the right filters is remote and it would take days. Is there a way of sampling the recipient photo and then applying the effect it sees to the cleaner looking modern photo ?
I come across this situation all the time when one photo, even a modern digicamera one, taken by someone else, differs from another photo, unless the 'textures' can be made to match, the added in pics stick out like a sore thumb ! A photo with jpg artefacts receiving a cleaner photo is one common occurrence, try geting the cleaner one to look very jpegged, not easy.

May 13, 2011I'm trying to blur some text so that it blends in with the background a little. I found the perfect way to do this using the Live Effect, Soften Filter, Motion Blur. However, when I finish getting it to blur to exactly how I need it to look, there is no option to apply this to the text. When I close the box (the only option available) I lose the effect! Jul 28, 2012I have a hatch pattern in one of my objects. I want to apply exactly the same hatch pattern to other objects but I don't remember the settings for original hatch.
There is a command in ACAD to apply properties of one object to others (brush icon in toolbar). I tries to use this command but it seams that it doesn't work for hatch.
What is easiest way to apply a hatch pattern from an object to the other one?

Nov 5, 2012For my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?

Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
