Nov 25, 2011I make pdf ainally and if I just paste texture into all pages = huge size pdf. When I make it in microsoftword all background pictures have weight as one pic.

Xara :: Create One Document That Has Multiple PDF Pages After Export?
Feb 25, 2012Currently I have 30 .xar files that I have to export one by one to PDF, then I have to use a terrible PDF stitcher that cost me $30. Is there a way in either version 6 or 7 that enables you to create a single .xar document but actually have multiple pages within it?

I have used all methods-drag and drop, using the move menu from the pages panel, etc. However, when I do move the pages, the pages that I moved appear in the new document with the master page items from that document on them, which I do not want. Also, I have multiple master pages in each document.

May 19, 2011I have just completed a 25 page document using hundreds of symbols but when I have just tried to publish it to PDF certain symbols do not appear?
I have looked back through the file and found that the ones that do not appear also no longer show the image in the symbol library but when i insert them in to the drawing they show up fine.

Jun 29, 2011It seems a Live Copy change made on the page holding the original Live Copy will change all copies on all pages but not in reverse. If I change the copy of the Live Copy on Page 2, only the page 2 object changes (local change) but if I change the original Live Copy or any other copies of it located on Page 1, then all copies on all pages change (global change.)
Not a problem, just trying to understand. If I want to change all Live Copies of an object on all pages of a document then must be be done from the page of the original Live Copy?

Sep 9, 2013Having an issue with Xara Pro 4 and AccuRIP (Epson1430). Not sure if it's Xara, The printer or AccuRIP issue.
THE ISSUE - when sending multiple pages to the printer, where the pages are spooled, the output will have vertical rasterized streaks of zaggies throughout the output.
THE SOLUTION - send 1 page at a time, wait for it to print, then send next page. FYI Corel has a similar issue when sending several spot pages at the same time.

Jul 22, 2013I know one of the new features in X9 is the web publishing feature where you put page numbers and those with tablets can flip through the pages. I have an Android and went to the pages that were designed using this new feature but saw nothing but a website that I had to scroll down like any other except there was page numbers on the bottoms as I scrolled. In fact, I had to left and right scroll to see the full pages before scrolling down. What am I missing? How is this feature any better than just normal scrolling?

Aug 5, 2013I have multipage (16 pages) document with linked frames of paragraph text. Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!

I need some pages only a certain height and others shorter, taller, etc. When I edit the size to say 1000x width and 3000x height somehow all the other pages either lengthen or shorten and cut content.

Oct 9, 2013I've just had my first 3D experience in Photoshop mapping a bunch of different label options onto a cylinder - everything was working perfectly until I re-sized the image.
Now each label change-out gets displayed as one of the labels - Photoshop will only display one label despite there being mutiple layers and layer comps.
If I:Go to the diffuse texture for each label and choose "Edit texture"A new window opens showing the correct label/texture.

Apr 12, 2011I am trying to work out the best way to import a word document into Designer Pro 6 and am struggling.I have a 21 page word document which is formatted text only i.e. no graphics included. I have exported this from Word as a RTF file. I now want to import this into DP6 so that I can use the power of DP6 for embedding all the graphics that I want.
Ideally what I would like to be able to do is to set-up a page with a text area, import the RTF document and insert it into the textarea and for DP6 to create the following pages with flowing text areas. I don't seem to be able to do this.
I think I must be missing a trick as in Gary Bouton's excellent book on Xara Xtreme 5 he says in the section on "Pouring Text into the Layout" (Page 198), that "Xara automatically adds pages to a document to handle text that won't fit on a page.".

Jul 26, 2011If you have a multipage document such as the plans for a house you can have a different scale factor on each page if you turn off "All pages in document the same" in the Options dialog's "Page Size" tab.
Then you can set different scales on different pages. E.g. 1:100 for house floor plans and 1:500 for site layout plans.

Basically I have created a custom size animation as 750 x 245 pixels, this has been exported to .swf flash file. So in the document where I would like to use it, applied the File/Import.
But somehow like this the imported object comes with 192 x 192 pixels dimension, in what the main issue is that this is a square, with big white are around the real animation which was a long rectangle. How I could import the .swf file without those white dimension?
Xara :: Exporting Document That Contains Shadow On Some Text To PDF
Jul 6, 2011Has anything changed in the export of a document to a PDF.
I have a problem exporting a document that contains a shadow on some text. In the final PDf it shows the shadow as a block. I'm sure i used to be able to convert the text to an editable shape / ungroup them and the problem would be resolved. But it still exports the text with a block behind it.
I found that if I convert the back image under the text to a bitmap it resolves the problem only this causes a color shift in the background, no good when I'm trying to keep constant colors throughout the document.

Mar 22, 2011I have a working document, part of which should become a template for similar docs.
However the part that should become a template is not all that is in the document.
I guess I can turn off the eyeball of all layers or objects not meant to be part of the template but then the template will have all the extra junk in it (turned off).
Is there a better way than saving a copy of the doc, opening it and deleting all that is not meant to be template, then resave as template?
