Dec 17, 2012I don't mean use a video as a texture on say a square. I mean how like in this video, the texture is applied on the collapsing parts.

No I know a little about displacement maps, bump maps, specular maps etc, which ones to use in this case..

May 12, 2012I am bringing into an old photo which is in fact a scan of a printed photo, an item selected from a recently taken photo and I need it to look as if it belongs to the old photo.
The immediate difference is in the texture, best shown with a photo here. try viewing it also by moving head laft and right ! I can even see a regular pattern of something within the cruder pixels. I could take days to try out various filters, it may be it requires a combination of filters and given the variables involved the chances of hitting upon the right settings and the right filters is remote and it would take days. Is there a way of sampling the recipient photo and then applying the effect it sees to the cleaner looking modern photo ?
I come across this situation all the time when one photo, even a modern digicamera one, taken by someone else, differs from another photo, unless the 'textures' can be made to match, the added in pics stick out like a sore thumb ! A photo with jpg artefacts receiving a cleaner photo is one common occurrence, try geting the cleaner one to look very jpegged, not easy.

Premiere Pro :: Apply A Video Effect To A Track?
Jul 11, 2010I just came over from Sony Vegas Pro 9 (which kicks ***, but has bad native support for DSLR files).
In Vegas you can apply effects to video in three ways:
1. A whole clip in the project media bin (automatically applying such effects to all timeline events using this clip).
2. Individual timeline events.
3. Entire video tracks (automatically applying such effects to every clip on the track).
Is this possible in Premiere CS5? I find it hard to believe that it's not possible since it is such a useful thing to do. For example, what if you have a bunch of footage that you want to look grainy but you don't want to apply the same effect to every timeline event from the clips because it is time consuming and creates many sources of change if you want to tweak the effect settings?

3ds Max :: Inserting Image - Cannot Apply On Any Object

I selected my object I want it pasted onto, I then opened up my materials editor, under maps and then standard I selected Bitmap and selected my image. Feb 27, 2012I created a 3d model in Pro/E Wildfire and opened it in photoshop CS5. I am trying to add an image to the top of the object. When I go into the 3D (Materials) tab and then click load texture (after clicking the folder next to 'diffuse'), the texture that is loaded is very distorted.
How can I add an image to the top of a custom 3d object without it being distorted?

Mar 21, 2013I used to know how to put transparency maps on the same object as a texture map. the biggest problem I am running into is the file format, I have been looking on line through forums and tutorials but I get conflicting results. I got one to work at one point but then it reverted to showing the alpha bmp instead of the texture. gah getting frustrated. also when I was making the alpha channel some how it gave the black/white boarder area fuzzy division. maybe I didnt make it right some how.
what file formats to use and the proper way to make an alpha map for transparency?

Nov 14, 2013I have a 3ds model of a golf ball I purchased. It imports properly into my Photoshop CC. I haven't been able to figure out how to apply an image (my logo) to the surface of the golf ball. Also, the golf ball has a dimpled surface so I will want the image to follow the contours of the ball, as if it would look if the logo were painted onto a real golf ball.
EDIT: Also, I want to keep the golf ball as a 3d object so I can animate it in a scene.
