Photoshop :: Adding Texture To 3D Object

I created a 3d model in Pro/E Wildfire and opened it in photoshop CS5. I am trying to add an image to the top of the object. When I go into the 3D (Materials) tab and then click load texture (after clicking the folder next to 'diffuse'), the texture that is loaded is very distorted.
How can I add an image to the top of a custom 3d object without it being distorted?
I have attached a few files to illustrate what I am trying to accomplish and the problem.

i created my first sig and wanted to add some texture to it and was wondering how, below are the texture and my sig.
Also, maybe im missing something but how do you copy and paste in photoshop as a select the image, right clip and copy or cut layer but nothing seems to happen.

I'm using PS CS3,
I have to take old black and white photos and replace the old faces with those of living people. The photos were scanned out of various photo books, and some of them were quite old. I used de-screening when I scanned them in, but there is still a 'texture' to the original photo and it doesn't look right when I put a nice, clear face off a digital camera shot to replace the original face.
I can buy a DVD tutorial from PixelPops to show me how this is done, but is there a simple way to do this so I don't have to spend the money? Yes, I can do a google search, but I don't even know what term to use for this particular process. I thought it might involve the healing or cloning tools,

I used to know how to put transparency maps on the same object as a texture map. the biggest problem I am running into is the file format, I have been looking on line through forums and tutorials but I get conflicting results. I got one to work at one point but then it reverted to showing the alpha bmp instead of the texture. gah getting frustrated. also when I was making the alpha channel some how it gave the black/white boarder area fuzzy division. maybe I didnt make it right some how.
what file formats to use and the proper way to make an alpha map for transparency?

How can I make an object "paint" the texture on another object? Examples of usage are footprints, bullet holes, scratches, skid marks, a pen drawing, etc. I couldn't find anything about this on the web.

I'm trying to assign a jpg file to an eyeball and the file (containing the retina of the eyeball) comes out enlarged, even though it is not supposed to.
I'm using Blinn Material and hypershade to bring that texture to the eyeball, but every single time I try it, it comes out enlarged (see image attached). I've made sure I click on the Planar Mapping key before I try to copy the image onto my eyeball. I've also tried modifying the size of the image on Photoshop but not luck. If it matters, I'm using Windows 7.

I have keyframed some ojects. I then set up a camera projection texture at keyframe 179
Is it possible to create a Texture Reference Object from keyframe 179 so this texture will stick to the geometry throughout the sequence?

For my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?

Just a question about adding objects to an arc instead of a whole circle for example using a hearts brush. I draw a circle, convert it to a shape and then bisect it with a line that has also been converted to a shape then I slice and break shapes and now I have a perfect arc but when I go to my brushes and try to add my hearts brush to the arc it like doubles the hearts. Is there anyway to overcome this so that I only have a single row of hearts on the arc. By the way I'm using XaraXtreme Pro 5. T

I'm making a graphic work (it's for my kid's yearbook), and I'm struggling to achieve an effect.
Here's the deal:
The attached file is an image in which I try to represent the text and graphics as if they were painted in a wood plank. I'm pleased with the effect on the surface of the plank, but I wanted to give the plank some thickness, to make it seem more like a 3d plank. That thickness effect is what has been tormenting me.

I'm trying to make a video where while the video is playing a series of dollar signs are added as if someone is typing. i'm able to do this with just adding a new title with one more dollar sign each title. What I'd like to do then is show the dollar signs being deleted and then a series of red hearts are typed in its place. I can't seem to figure out how to get hearts or any picture/object in a title.

I have a pice of code that select MText in my drawing. It looks that it select the MText in ALL my drawing and I am interested to choose the MText that is in the Model Space only.
The piece of code that I have is:

Just wondering whether there is a way to add an object to multiple layers. For example, if I have 2 layers circles and geometries - I would like to add a circle to both these layers such that if I turned either of them on the circle would be visible.
Additionally, is it possible to Group multiple layers into a single layer, for example the above 2 layers circles and geometries and into a third or fourth layer.

Just as it states, how do I add 2, 3, even four gradients to one object. Each gradient will have some level of transparency to it.
I need it to work similiar to: masking a layer in photoshop, and then using gradients to "chip away" pieces of the layer. I suppose I could just use opacity mask in AI, but I didnt think of that until now. Anywho now I'm curious, can you do this with multiple gradients in AI?
I tried doing the basic "add fill" option then setting my gradients, but it doesnt preserve the transparency correctly.

I have created a space with space generater, added a room tag. When I click on the room tag and click properties I do not have Property Sets from Referenced Objects under extended data. How do I add this? I drawing I did about a year ago has this, but the curent project does not and I do not remember how I managed to get this info to appear.

I have a lava texture and a ground texture. I'd like to be able to make some cracks on the ground texture that would show through the lava texture below it. Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

When adding a grain pattern effect to an object in Illustrator CS6 I get an odd bevel that surrounds the object. There is nothing in the Appearance window to suggest that there should be a bevel and I didn't add it myself.
Is there some setting I am missing or an easy way to remove the effect? For now I am masking the object with a slightly smaller object but it's starting to drastically increase the size of my file.

Why does adding a FX (Distort - Ocean Ripple) to text (converted to outlines) or a basic shape, change it back to pixels and blocky? Why doesn't it stay as smooth bezier curves? Is this a possible bug?

I have a cylindrical object that I want to map a brick wall texture to.
How is this achieved?
I use a CAD program to make my basic object, then I rotate it (as best as I can) to achieve perspective. Then, I do a screen grab, and prepare to use the object in photoshop as my reference.
I also have a sample of the brick (actually stone) pattern that I want to sample.
