VideoStudio :: X3 Multi-trim Video 1080p Jittery?
Jan 13, 2011I use VSX3 to edit down .mov files created with a contour HD helmet camera. I have been using a 720p version of the helmet camera and have had no issues with editing (other than the ocasional C++ runtime errors and the VSX3 program crashing randomly which just seems to be a Corel programming issue) Recently I got to use a 1080p contour HD helmet camera and have problems editing the files in VSX3. In the preview window in the edit screen the 1080p file plays fine. But when I try to trim the file down using the "multi-trim video" function the file is very jittery, takes a long time to load and the sound is in and out, almost like the program can't handle a 1080p file for editing. The "mult-trim video" works fine for the 720p videos.

VideoStudio :: Movie On DVD Disc Plays Non-stop?
Oct 18, 2013Using Video Studio Pro X5, I edited a home video and saved my project into vsp file. When I previewed the video, it looked fine. I clicked Share, Create Disc, chose DVD, click Next, Next, Output, chose Create to Disc, and clicked Burn icon at the bottom right. It rendered for a while and completed.
When I played the DVD, the movie loops (meaning it played to the end of 15-minute video clip and did not stop, it went back to the beginning and played again and again)
VideoStudio :: Imported WAV Plays In Clip Mode But Not In Project?
Dec 27, 2011 X4. I created a 48hz sample rate 24 bit WAV file on my portable Tascam recorder.. I am creating a sales presentation for my invention. I have brought in many different videos I created on my camera and have edited them successfully with single clip and multi clip. Also have been able to split audio out of video. adjust sections using the nodes with the sound mixer.. move audio after split to different areas on the timeline.. However I need to do some voice over work. I figured it would be much easier and better quality for me to use my tascam to create the wav's and then just drop them into the project, edit them and place them where I want them, mute the voice I have on the video..
I was able to bring the .wavs in just fine.. and while editing them in clip mode they play just fine, I can shorten them or cut them where I need too. But when I choose to play back the project with the .wav in one one of the additional sound/music tracks I get very nasty static only. None of my recorded voice is audible. click to clip mode on the wav audio and it plays perfect. I tried moving it to the voice over track area and same exact problem.
am I missing a switch function somewhere? I made sure I muted the video clips above the .wav in the timeline. The manual says to use import option to bring in audio files but I do not see an import button anywhere? missing something? seems to me the drag and drop or add to library a wave file should work.. ??
VideoStudio :: MP3 Files Not Playing In Library But Plays In Project
Nov 19, 2012I just upgraded to Windows 8. All with Videostudio X5 is working fine, except MP3 files will not play in the Library. I get this strange hiss. If I drop the mp 3 file into the time line on any audio track and then play the project it plays fine. Wave files play fine. I did a uninstall and re-install of X5 to see If that would fix the problem.

May 27, 2013Using VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.
Photoshop :: CS3 Mac - Upgrade To CS5 Windows?
Apr 26, 2012I have had CS3 installed and registered on a Mac since 2008. I want to upgrade to CS5 but change to Windows as that's my preference with photo editing software (I already use Elements 7-8-9 on a PC).
Looking around, I just cannot find a definitive answer as to whether I can upgrade my Mac CS3 licence to a CS5 Windows licence - I see the question has been asked the other way round a few years back but the answers conflicted: Yes, no problem; No, no way; yes but very complicated, have to write to Adobe.
There is no way I can afford to buy the complete new product (I'm now a pensioner but have programmed since 1978 and been a photographer since 1961) so an upgrade is my only route. I don't want to buy the upgrade then find it's not working....

May 14, 2013Because the new Building Suite Design programs won't run on windows vista, I've been upgrading some of our older computers to windows 7. Most are working fine but having problems with one computer.

So I formatted this computer and installed windows 7 64x pro, installed all the software etc. This computer is also part of a domain. Problem now is opening some AutoCAD files on the server, edit the file then hit the x in the corner to close it, we hit yes to save it then the whole computer just freezes. It doesn't happen with all files, just some and I can't work out what the problem is. ALSO when copying some CAD files from one project folder on the server to another project folder on the server it freezes. No problems copying files to the local computer/desktop, just server-server. The graphics card driver is up to date etc.

Photoshop :: Jittery Cursor Vibrates Very Fast - CS6 / CC?
Oct 29, 2013The best way to describe it is that the cursor vibrates very fast in some circumstances, especially when using the Brush tool and adjusting its size using Cmd + Alt + Drag, as well as pressing Alt to sample a color when using the Brush tool. The issue does not happen when using the eyedropper tool.

This has been around in both Photoshop CS6 and CC, on both OS X Mountain Lion and Mavericks. I have reproduced the bug on both my Late 2008 MacBook Pro using a Wacom Bamboo Fun, a Wacom Intuos 4 and a Wacom Intuos 5 (all with latest drivers) and same with four new iMacs running both Mountain Lion and Mavericks. It does not happen with a mouse. It cannot be interference, as I can always reliably reproduce this is three separate cities around the world.
If the Wacom tablet was sending jittery coordinates to the computer, then surely the mouse cursor would also vibrate, or at least the Eyedropper tool would exhibit the same bug that the Brush tool while pressing Alt to color sample does.
To test it, please use a Wacom pen and try adjusting the brush size using Cmd + Alt + Drag, as well as using the brush tool and pressing Alt to sample a color (preferably on a photo or noise so that you can clearly see the difference between various pixels and colors. Be sure to not be zoomed in too much, try zooming to 100% or less, otherwise the pixels are too far from each other for the jitter to make a difference.
Photoshop :: SC6 Jittery Cursor In Layers Pallet
Aug 17, 2012I have all my pallets on my second display. In Photoshop CS6, when I open or close a layer group folder in the Layers pallet, the cursor becomes jittery and stuttered. If I move the mouse off the pallet, the mouse returns to normal, and mouse tracking is smooth.
If I move the mouse back over the Layers pallet, it's fine, until I interact with a layer on that pallet. At which point, the jittery mouse action returns. I know this wasn't an issue with CS5, but I also recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, so it's possible it's a Mountain Lion/PS6 quirk.
VideoStudio :: How To Upgrade From X3 To X4
Mar 25, 2011I was in the middle of installing VideoStudio X4, but then I noticed that it's not going to replace VideoStudio X3 that was currently installed on my system. My initial thought regarding X4 not replacing X3 is I will have two copies of VideoStudio both the X3 and X4. So I canceled the installation process because that would eat my disk space, and I don't want to mess up with my X3 (and its registy) yet before I clarify some things. I also thought that by installing X4 and replacing the X3 files, X4 will take over what X3 has left off with.
So my questions are:
1) Do I have to uninstall VideoStudio X3 first, before I install X4?
2) If I uninstall VideoStudio X3, will it mean wiping out the files that I included in the library?
3) I will be using the trial version of X4 first, so I can decide if I want to upgrade. Assuming that I didn't want the upgrade and I decide to switch back to X3, will that mean re-installing X3 and re-setting my preferences? Also, will it function well? Because I'm under the impression that X3 and X4 uses the same registry keys, dll files, etc.

Sep 8, 2013I want to use Photoshop CS6 ( all updates installed ) for editing my videos captured by the Panasonic GH2 camera. I tried all ways of opening the video0001.mts file known to me ( pressing the + symbol, pressing the little film symbol, open as layers ) , and the video itself is shown and played in PS, but the the sound is switched to off and cannot be switched on.
Is there any special setting required or will I have toinstall a special codec for these files ? As the camera is pretty old, I thought for a full compatibility with CS6.
