Nov 13, 2011I've imported a wmw clip into the timeline which plays but doesn't display in the screen.

View 4 RepliesMy video studio pro x5 plays for 2 seconds and then stops in my timeline. This occurs after I've splt and deleted some audio and/or put in a transition. Here are my computer specs:
Brand: Dell Laptop
Processsor Intel(R) Cor (TM) i7 CPU Q820 #1.73GHz 1.73GHz
Ram: 8GB
System Type: 64 Bit Operating System
Pen and Touch: Pen and Touch is available through 80 touch points
Using Video Studio Pro X5, I edited a home video and saved my project into vsp file. When I previewed the video, it looked fine. I clicked Share, Create Disc, chose DVD, click Next, Next, Output, chose Create to Disc, and clicked Burn icon at the bottom right. It rendered for a while and completed.
When I played the DVD, the movie loops (meaning it played to the end of 15-minute video clip and did not stop, it went back to the beginning and played again and again)
After upgrading from W7 to W8 only VS X5 plays .avi videos with a jitter, other software doesn't (Powerdirector, Windows Media Players etc).
View 4 Replies View Related X4. I created a 48hz sample rate 24 bit WAV file on my portable Tascam recorder.. I am creating a sales presentation for my invention. I have brought in many different videos I created on my camera and have edited them successfully with single clip and multi clip. Also have been able to split audio out of video. adjust sections using the nodes with the sound mixer.. move audio after split to different areas on the timeline.. However I need to do some voice over work. I figured it would be much easier and better quality for me to use my tascam to create the wav's and then just drop them into the project, edit them and place them where I want them, mute the voice I have on the video..
I was able to bring the .wavs in just fine.. and while editing them in clip mode they play just fine, I can shorten them or cut them where I need too. But when I choose to play back the project with the .wav in one one of the additional sound/music tracks I get very nasty static only. None of my recorded voice is audible. click to clip mode on the wav audio and it plays perfect. I tried moving it to the voice over track area and same exact problem.
am I missing a switch function somewhere? I made sure I muted the video clips above the .wav in the timeline. The manual says to use import option to bring in audio files but I do not see an import button anywhere? missing something? seems to me the drag and drop or add to library a wave file should work.. ??
I just upgraded to Windows 8. All with Videostudio X5 is working fine, except MP3 files will not play in the Library. I get this strange hiss. If I drop the mp 3 file into the time line on any audio track and then play the project it plays fine. Wave files play fine. I did a uninstall and re-install of X5 to see If that would fix the problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.
I'm in the process of evaluating several video editing programs. So far I've used AVS Video Editor, Cyberlink Power Director and Adobe Premiere. With each program I've spent 30 minutes making a quick demo video to see how intuitive it is and how well it performs. Today I downloaded Corel Visual Studio and decided to give it a go.
I've run into a problem straight away.I've tried to import raw avi files. So I'm using the "Select Import Source Folders" screen. When I navigate to the folder containing the files the OK button is greyed out and won't work. It's greyed out all of the time.
I have a video that I need to set in the background of my animation but it needs to be turned 90 degrees. Right now its is side ways. Is there a way to do that within max 20111? I currently have in my environment map and Effect menu common parameter tab my movie. I then have an instance of it in my materials area. Within materials area I can change my W: Angle to rotate that diffuse map where my video is listed and it rotates with materials menue but just not in my animation background. Can I rotate the video that is in the background of my animation?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use Photoshop CS6 ( all updates installed ) for editing my videos captured by the Panasonic GH2 camera. I tried all ways of opening the video0001.mts file known to me ( pressing the + symbol, pressing the little film symbol, open as layers ) , and the video itself is shown and played in PS, but the the sound is switched to off and cannot be switched on.
Is there any special setting required or will I have toinstall a special codec for these files ? As the camera is pretty old, I thought for a full compatibility with CS6.
I am trying to create a slideshow then when I tried to put music and hit the play button the music is distorted in slow tempo. I tried exporting it and I still got the same result.
I am using lightroom 4 in MAC OS X version 10.6.8
I created a slide show with music but in preview it plays music but not the pics and won't create an WMV file.
(Elements 7 on Vista).
I had a animation built in animate and i would preview from start to finish in web browser and now it doesnt play at all?
Im not sure what I did to break it. But I have old and new test files that work just fine.
why my video plays faster than the set animated sequence i have saved in the playback preferences. I have a camera on a motion path and have slow the playback speed to 3fps yet when i play the avi video in quicktime after it's rendered it plays much faster.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy imported avi file plays in slow motion and staggers. just started AE but pretty ok with Photoshop. its AVCHD , 50 frames per second
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I import an audio file into Smoke it ends up being longer, and plays slower than it does outside of Smoke.
The file is a stereo mp3, 16 bit, 44kHz
Its normal duration is 13:19
In Smoke it shows up as 13:30
I tried applying a Time Warp to speed it back up but I can't apply the speed change. It is reset back to 100% after trying to change it.
Even if I don't import the file, in the MediaHub, in preview mode it shows up with a duration of 13:30 and plays slowly.
The project has a 24P frame rate in case that has any influence.
. I have CS6 Pro and my video is very choppy. I used to edit in Sony Vegas and my videos play fine there. I wanted to step up and edit with a more advanced editor and it doesn't work!!! Here is what I do. Shoot with GoPro 3, take the video to GoPro Studio and make a MOV. file to remove fisheye. Take the MOV. file and edit it with Premiere. It plays smooth for 3-5sec then starts to stutter. My specs on my computer are:
i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
8GB Ram
64-Bit
Windows 7 Pro SP1
7200RPM HD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M w/2GB
Again my Sony Vages $70 program can edit without any problems but I am stuck with CS6!!!!
I'm trying to embed a video into my project and although the initial setup was simple, getting it to play in all browsers is proving to be very difficult. I've read more articles and forum threads than I care to recall, but just can't seem to find the right combination. Safari wil play audio only and IE10 gives me "Error: Unsupported video type or invalid file path".
I've contacted my host provider to ensure that the server is compatible with all video formatts and I've had other people from different locations try to play the video with slightly varied results, but ultimately the video doesn't play for them either. Here is the code I'm using:
I started with this code that I picked up from an online tutorial:
var vid = sym.$("Holder");
vid.html('<video width= "838" height="609" src = "video/tester.mp4" poster = "video/DFC5.jpg" type = "video/mp4" controls ="controls" </video>');
I eventually moved to this in order to attempt to accommodate multiple video formats/browsers:
var vid = sym.$("Holder");
vid.html("<video width='838' height='609' preload='auto' poster = 'video/DFC5.jpg' controls ='controls'>" +
"<source src='video/tester.mkv' type='video/mkv' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mov' type='video/mov' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mpg' type='video/mpg' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.webm' type='video/webm' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.mp4' type='video/mp4' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.avi' type='video/avi' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.wmv' type='video/wmv' />" +
"<source src='video/tester.ogv' type='video/ogg' />" +
"</video>");
I have copied a recorded TV programme from a PVR hard disc onto a DVD and then copied the DVD onto the hard disk of my computer. When I try to use my trial version of VS XV to import the "digital media", it first shows what I might call empty thumbnails. Then I get a message saying "The file formats of some selected files are not supported". Clicking on OK then produces a message saying "There is no valid clip". I should add that hovering over the empty thumbnails describes the format as DVD+VR. Just incidentally, I have been able to import the clips into PowerDirector.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWorkflow-Capture step-Import source folders-in digital media box-start.Then screen goes black and PC restarts without VS running. This has on both occasions I have tried.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was not able to import a DVD that I burnt before (VIDEO_TS) into VS X4 to re-edit it. I tried "Capture" ---> "Import from Digital Media" and the screen with the "Source Folder" selection appeared. Clicking the folder (either that of a DVD drive or hard drive" and "Start" resulted in a screen with blank windows for the different Chapters. So, nothing could be imported.
I then tried to Import the same DVD into my old VS X2 and had no problems whatsoever (I had done this many times with VS X2 without a single problem). The edited DVD was then saved as a VS X2 .vsp file. Obviously, VS X4 could not open this VS X2 .vsp file (it said "file mismatch").I checked the manual and could not find why I could not import the DVD into VS X4.In short the questions that I have:
1. What needs to be done to be able to import a DVD (non-copyrighted - self burnt DVD) into VS X4 ?
2. Is there a way to make VS X2 .VSP files be read or opened by VS X4?
3. Would this be feasable: create the VS X2 .VSP to a .MPG video file first. Than include this .MPG file with the other .MPG from VS X4 during the "create disk" stage?
I just bought X4 and can't import High Def. MOV files. VS doesn't even see them! how do I import them?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've searched these forums for any "how to's" and found some info, but either it was over my head as to the fix or it delt with different video file formats or error messages.
The short version:
I have a fresh install of X4 on a 64 bit Windows 7 (Pro) and I'm trying to import *.MTS video files into the timeline but keep getting "File format Mismatch 1081:1:3" errors. I've copied the files from the SD card to the harddrive. I've also tried renaming the file(s) extensions from MTS to M2TS, AVI, MPG, and still get the error.
The long winded version:
I had X4 on a 32 bit PC for a long time. Installed Panasonics AE reader software that came with the HDC-SDT750 camcorder. X4 could recognize the MTS files and import them into the timeline. The PC motherboard failed so I got new motherboard and decided to do a fresh install of the 64 bit version of Win 7 Pro on a clean harddrive. Did a fresh install of X4. Then installed all Windows and X4 updates and patches.
When I try to insert a MTS video clip (file) into the timeline from either the SD card or harddrive I get the error message "File format Mismatch 1081:1:3". I can play the video files through windows media player (No matter what I've changed the file extesion to) and the video and sound play fine. I can also insert any other video file into a timeline except MTS files (New or older ones). With X4 up and running and searching for which video file to insert I can see the MTS video preview thumbnail in the file explorer window.
The video clips are 1920X1080 at 29 fms and a bit rate of 16794kbps
I can't find the Panasonic software disk and the best that I can tell Panasonic does not have their software online for download.
I will need some hand holding here so I'll need more step by step instructions than "Get the latest codecs" (Whatever that means)
System info:

I am unable to import a DVD into VSX5.
DVD Properties only show as 195 MB udf file system / It is not copyright protected .It plays OK in Power DVD and Windows Media Player and lasts about 5 minutes .It is a free promotional DVD.
To try and import it into VSX5 I go import file -insert media to library -insert digital media -select drive, -start- when I select or get near the small boxes in the top right of title I or chapter1 boxes with the cursor - the screen goes black and the PC reboots loosing any unsaved data..
If I try to do a screen capture of a paused DVD screen either via print screen-paste as new image, or the dedicated screen capture feature in Paint Shop Pro X- the captured screen area only shows black....
I in tend to buy a SONY HDR-CX150. The literature says that for SONY Picture Manager software which is provided Win 7 Premium 64 bit is not supported ! (I know that sounds unbelievable in that most new machine come with that64 bit version).
Does VS Pro X3 will import from that camcorder ?
I have been trying to add an MP4 video to edit in VSP. Every time I select the file, it would tell me that "The file had no video data" when it does.
I tried to install the Service Patch which is said to include imports of MP4 files, but it won't install. It tells me " The installed version of the application could not be determined"
I'm using the currently the VS X4 trial version for evaluation purpose. So first I want to modify a BluRay-Disc in 3 Steps:
- import material from disc
- cut some scenes
- re-create disc (or finally burn it)
Unfortunateley I'm unable to finish task one: I didn't found out, how to import the BluRay-Disc: I tried with 'import Digital-Media' but whatever I choose in selection dialog (drive where the disc is located, a dubdirectory from the disc, etc.), VS always respond 'No valid content found'.
How can I accomplish to import the movie materials from the BluRayDisc?
I have been using VS11+ for a few years, and have never run across this problem until now. I am trying to import DVDs recorded on a specific machine and am getting video but no audio. There is audio on the DVDs. I have tried importing both as mpg and as avi (in project properties) but neither works. Although I've been using VS, I am self-taught and not very knowledgeable about codecs, recoding, etc. I mainly use VS for importing video from DVDs, editing, rendering and burning onto DVDs. I am not certain of the make/model of the DVD recorder, but I do know it is new. (I did a keyword search for "import DVD no audio" before posting, but it returned over 2,000 results).
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've done this hundreds of times, but now the "Import from DVD/DVD-VR" is greyed out. It's funny that the DVD I'm trying to import was created by VS about 6 months ago. I did need to wipe the hard drive and reload the software about a month ago. In the "Capture" pull down the "Capture Video" and "DV Quick Scan" are not greyed out but the "Import from DVD/DVD-VR" is greyed out.
This is VideoStudio6 upgraded to VideoStudio 9, so the software is not new.
I am using VideoStudio 3x. I've imported a DVD that contains subtitles -
-when I view the resulting Mpeg file within the program, the subtitles are displayed
-when I view the mpeg through another viewer (ie Windows media player) - the subtitles are NOT visible
-If I burn the mpeg to a DVD - again - the subtitles are neither visible nor available
how do I either - extract the subtitles into an srt file - or make them visible in the other viewers?
- odd thing - when I view the original DVD I can turn the subtitles on or off - but when I try to extract them directly from the source - I get an empty file (go figure)
i just bought V. studio pro X4, before i had Pro X2.
I built a big library with all my films in my x2 version, i took lot's of hour to build it so, I would like to import this library in my X4 pro.
i tried import/export library function but it didn't work.
X4 prompt me a message " missing or corrupt file" when i tried to import my X2 library.
