I’m getting “not enough memory” errors (Windows 7 HP 32bit), mostly when I am using Viveza2. This is the primary reason I want to upgrade both my Windows 7 and Photoshop CS5 to 64 bit. What do I need to know about the reinstall, of Photoshop CS5 on a clean install of Windows Home Premium 64bit with 16meg memory?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop CS6 (64bit), when using the brush tool (with a brush with pressure sensitivity activated), I quite often get a line drawn at the max width selected, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. Everything goes back to normal after I start drawing another line, and happens again after a few lines. It's quite random.
I don't have this problem in any other software (Illustrator CS6 64bit, Painter XII, Sketchbook Pro, Zbrush, ...). I have already checked and I've found some other users on other forums with the same problem.
One example, with a picture of the problem: [URL] Another one, exact same problem: [URL] Some of those users seem to have solved their problem by installing an old driver (6.1.5r3), but they had that problem with Intuos TABLETS in the first place, not a Cintiq 24HD... I have tried that, but unfortunately the driver is not compatible with the Cintiq 24HD.
To test this out: I've been able to reproduce the problem 90% of the times I've tried. if I keep the pen at 1 inch from the display so that it's still recognized by the screen but it's not drawing, then wiggle it a bit, and then I slowly move to the screen and tap it (as if I was starting a line with very low pressure), the problem appears and it makes a large dot, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. As I said the test doesn't work every time, but almost.
This is an image of what happens when I try and make dots in Photoshop. These are done trying to push the pen with the same (low) pressure. The big ones are from when the issue appears: [URL]
I have tried the pressure test in the Wacom utility software and it seems to work fine, it never jump to full even when I try the method I've just described. In the diagnostic page of the Wacom utility software the pressure is always correct, even when in Photoshop there's the brush sensitivity issue.
note: I've already tried to completely re-install my computer + the Adobe software + the lastest wacom driver for my Cintiq 24HD, and the problem is still the same.
A couple days ago I am download and install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial and It's great. But I have a question — because I need only Photoshop, how I can delete all other Adobe apps that a don't need (Like Bridge, Extension Manager, etc.).

Why can't Windows Explorer show thumbnail previews of DNG's on my Windows 8.1 64bit Pc. I assume is has something to do with not having the DNG codec. However, on Adobe's website it says their DNG codec only works on Windows 7.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Photoshop CS6 on my Windows 8 64-bit PC. While in the loader option I chose both 64 and 32 bit installations, I only get 64-bit to install and work properly, and the Program Files (x86) protoshop cs6 folder stays empty.
I tried to reinstall 32-bit alone, uninstall and full reinstall, I also checked for security permissions in Program files (x86)/Adobe and in Common files which seem OK, Administrators, Creator Owner and System have the desired Full control permissions and finally I apllied the latest adobe_creative_suite_cleaner_tool fix on all products and tried reinstall, to no avail.
The error I always get upon finishing installation is the below:

I have just created a dual boot system.
Dell XPS 600 3 gig of ram (soon to be 6 gig
Windows XP Pro 32 bit
Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
The windows OS can not see above 2 gig (and that is a long story but believe me I have had it confirmed - even though a 32 bit system should be able to see up to 3.5 gig). That is why I created the dual boot (into Vista 64) OS.
The Vista 64 bit OS CAN see the current 3 gig (soon to be 6 gig).
Each has its own partition and I dual boot via a 3rd party BootIt NG
Question:
1. What is the proper way (if I even can do it) install PS CS4 on to the Vista 64 bit (in another partition) to take advantage of PS CS4 64?
2. Do I have to delete the XP 32 bit version and reactivate?
3. I do not use Bridge (or do I have to in order to get the 64 bit)? I have seen some threads here about using Bridge so I was wondering about that.
4. I also have IL CS4, ID CS4 and plan to do the same. Is that possible?
5. I know there is an issue with plugins so I will address that matter as it comes up. Hopefully, though the downloaded brushes will work ok in both the 32 and 64 bit envrionments.
I've successfully installed AutoCAD Architecture, and others, and was wondering if the files created directly in my C: drive under the folder 'Autodesk' can be deleted, (running short of disk space)?
They look to be, by their names, install files and I note what looks to be the actual applications, etc., are present in the Program folder, under another Autodesk folder, and Program (x86) for Design Review.
I need to do a clean install of Windows 7.
I've moved my photos from my desktop to an external drive.
I've pointed LR to the new external location so my .cat and .dat files are up-to-date.
I've made a copy of the LR folder (from C:/My Pictures) that holds my .cat and .dat files and also put it on my external drive
What's the procedure for making sure my new LR installation points to the latest catalog once I've done the clean install?
And can I reset LR to store .cat and .dat files on the external drive going forward?
I recently purchased an upgrade from CS5 to CS6. I have never had Photoshop on my laptop, just my desktop PC. However, I will be attending a photography school in a few months, and I'd like to have Photoshop on my laptop. Can I install the CS6 upgrade on my laptop? (It's a download, not a CD).

When I run the extracted setup file, it creates 2 files and stops with an error message that says " A problem occured when extracting some files. View 15 Replies View RelatedWhenever I click on Setup.exe, the hourglass shows for a moment and then nothing at all happens! I have tried everything I know: making a New Admin account, disabling Services and Startups via msconfig, doing a thorough virus check (nothing found), etc. I have tried to first uninstall CS3 but, surprisingly, it will not uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel: after clicking Change/Remove, nothing happens. I spent considerable time with a support person at Adobe but to no avail.
I should add that I install and uninstall programs frequently, and I have never before had any such problems with other Adobe products such as Lightroom or previous versions of Photoshop. There is nothing exotic about my system: Windows XP, dual monitors (I tried disabling one of them), 4gb RAM, 3 internal hard drives, ATI radeon graphics card.
I have 2009 and downloaded the 2012 trial (selecting 32bit as my OS). I'm trying to use a plugin and 2009 is too old, so if it works in 2012 I'll just upgrade. However during install it never gives me an option to install the 32bit/64bit version of 2012. It just auto-detects the OS and installs the 64bit.
how to get it to install the 32bit version? I tried the plugin with the 64bit and it doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's because 2012 is too new or if 64bit doesn't work for the plugin. The plugin is the Flare3D Max plugin if it matters.

Installing PS CS4 upgrade over CS3.
Downloaded file unpacks OK, but when running Setup the Checking System Profile bar gets to about 90% the PS Setup window flashes up for barely a second, then the install hangs, ie no further progress with the Checking System Profile (left if for 20 mins or so).
I've downloaded and run a new CS4 upgrade file from Adobe store. No change.
I've added SP3 (was on SP2), no change.
I just got a new computer and installed Product Design Suite Ultimate x64. Every time I close Inventor, the window immediately stops responding, then will only go away if I stop the process. If I click "End Task" in the Task Manager, it will start to look for a solution to the problem, then immediately close. No error report displays. All other programs work with no issue. All of the settings are default as installed.
So far I have tried:
-Reinstalling with and without SP1
-Installing the latest Autodesk Certified graphics driver
-Using software graphics
-Running as Admin
-Launching in Vista and 2008 Compatibility Modes

I currently have Premiere Pro CS5.5 installed as an upgrade from CS4. I have purchased a new, unopened copy of CS5.5 Master Collection Full Retail Version.
Should I deactivate and uninstall the existing installation of Premiere Pro before installing the Master Collection? I have made a clone of my OS drive just in case something goes wrong with the installation.

View 5 Replies View Related*all* of my cs4 master suite works great - no issues on any app - except the 64bit version of photoshop... it wont launch at all - and yes i have the 11.0.1 update (adobe updater says everything is current and file properties verify new version on both 32 and 64bit exes) running as administrator doesnt help either. also problem occurs when win7 boots in safe mode.i'm running build 7100 of win7 64bit and have 6gig ram on an i7 system with a gtx 285 so i'd love to utilize the benefits of 64bit.... when i attempt to launch the 64bit exe i get an alert dialog error saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." and that's it. never makes it to the splash screen or begins loading any dll, it's immediate error.... and like i said, 32bit version works finefrom doing cursory google searches and whatnot, i am led to believe it may be a memory addressing issue which i've been unable to investigate or that perhaps my .net framework was out of date? but i checked the framework issue and win7 includes the newest version...

When I open the HDR toning filter the top of the HDR controls window is always hidden under the top edge of the screen. I can't reposition the window. This is in CS5 64bit. When I make the same actions in CS5 32bit and in CS6, the whole of the HDR filter window is visible in the normal way.
How can I get to see the whole HDR controls window again in CS5 64bit?

The more I draw and color, the farther behind the brush gets from the curser. It doesn't matter what input device I use (Intuos 3 pen or USB mouse), I still have the same issue.
