I currently have Premiere Pro CS5.5 installed as an upgrade from CS4. I have purchased a new, unopened copy of CS5.5 Master Collection Full Retail Version.
Should I deactivate and uninstall the existing installation of Premiere Pro before installing the Master Collection? I have made a clone of my OS drive just in case something goes wrong with the installation.
This is on a completely fresh installation of windows 7 x64.Before installing Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection x64 autoplay for my camera works, after installation it does not work. If I uninstall it, it works again.Where is this program disabling autorun for devices. Autorun for flash drives works fine, its just the non-volume devices that are affected.
I tried using gpedit and reg keys to re-enable autoplay for the camera but it does not work.When I plug my camera in, I can still go to my computer I can get my pics without any issues, its just that this is bugging me.Don't think there is an answer out there, guess I just need to not be so OCD with this stuff.

How does one automatically check for all product updates and have it install? In past I think CS5 there use to be some sort of update manager application.
I just downloaded Adobe CS6 Master Collection but it seems it does not contain Photoshop CS6 Extended. There are all other CS products and normal Photoshop but why there is no Photoshop CS6 Extended?

I feel that 4 days is not enough for me to try everything out, and I don't want to be spending big $ if i'm not going to make full used of the software.

I've successfully installed AutoCAD Architecture, and others, and was wondering if the files created directly in my C: drive under the folder 'Autodesk' can be deleted, (running short of disk space)?
They look to be, by their names, install files and I note what looks to be the actual applications, etc., are present in the Program folder, under another Autodesk folder, and Program (x86) for Design Review.

I've moved my photos from my desktop to an external drive.
I've pointed LR to the new external location so my .cat and .dat files are up-to-date.
I've made a copy of the LR folder (from C:/My Pictures) that holds my .cat and .dat files and also put it on my external drive
What's the procedure for making sure my new LR installation points to the latest catalog once I've done the clean install?
And can I reset LR to store .cat and .dat files on the external drive going forward?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a new computer and installed Product Design Suite Ultimate x64. Every time I close Inventor, the window immediately stops responding, then will only go away if I stop the process. If I click "End Task" in the Task Manager, it will start to look for a solution to the problem, then immediately close. No error report displays. All other programs work with no issue. All of the settings are default as installed.
So far I have tried:
-Reinstalling with and without SP1
-Installing the latest Autodesk Certified graphics driver
-Using software graphics
-Running as Admin
-Launching in Vista and 2008 Compatibility Modes

I'm logged in as local administrator to Windows 7 64bit OS and everytime I tried to install CS5.5 Master I kept getting this message, "Administrator privilege are required to install" I can install any program but just not CS5.5.

I'm having such a hard time adding several photos at once to an existing collection. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I am following the instructions. First I select all the photos by clicking shift and the 1st photo, then I select the last photo. All photos I want to add are highlighted. But I can't drag all the photos at once. When I try to drag, the 1st photo is only selected. What is are the correct click, drag and drop key strokes to get it right? Dragging and dropping one photo at the time is just not feasible.

My Vista system has developed a few bugs which are not cured by Norton 360.Dragging a window causes it to maximize in a few programs PASTE does not work in some programs -- including X4..The CROP tool stopped working in X4 but is OK in X5 High-lighting is erratic in WORD etc.
I can only run a "clean" install from my OEM disk which means reloading all applications. I was wondering if I should give up and install Windows 7.
What has been your experience with Windows 7/ Did you do a "clean" install or just the update.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of migrating my from iView Media Pro to LR 4, with about 15K photos. In iVMP, I created CSV files containing the names of the Collections and Keywords (using LR lingo) associated with each photo. I am now trying to find a way to import that data into LR. I have tried LR/Transporter, but it is not working properly.
I have done a lot of searching on the topic of migrating to LR from a different cataloging application and am amazed at the dearth of information I have found.
Any LR plugins that import metadata from CSV files? Even if LR/Transporter were working as described, I can't import the Collection names and keywords directly into their respective LR fields. Getting 15K photos into the same Collection Set/Collection hierarchy that I have in iVMP looks like it is going to be A LOT manual work. Are there no tools to make this process more automated?
Any resources for setting up LR with an existing photo collection (like a batch process for creating the empty Collection Sets and Collections), I would love to know about it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have signed up with the cloud service, Feb 2014. I have downloaded Premiere Pro and am going through training tutorial (the Eagle doco). I have downloaded and imported the video into a bin but when I put it into the source monitor (top left of standard display), I see black but hear audio. I know the video is fine as can play from desktop. Have opened another project, using other source video I also know to be good, but same problem...no video visible in source monitor but audio ok in source monitor. This is a brand new Premere Pro installation. Is there a settings change I need to make?

I had purchased Photoshop CS5 in 2011 but it came with CD's for install. I stil have them but it doesn't do me any good since there is no disc drive to put them in on the new computer.
How can I install Photoshop using my serial number from my original purchase? I downloaded the CS6 trial version and when I try to activate it with my old serial number it says it is invalid.

I also tried matching Any Searchable Text set to the collection set name, but that doesn't seem to work...wouldn't all photos in the collection set be associated with that string? Looks like no.

I am using NextGEN to export images to WordPress. NextGEN created Publishing collections in Lightroom to match those in my WordPress blog. My problem is that they are not Smart Collections.
