VideoStudio :: X6 - Cannot Open Wave-in Device Error
Jul 25, 2013 I have X4 Pro, X5 and X6 Ultimate installed on my computer; as well as, a few older versions of ULead software. I keeping getting this message: "device error. Cannot open the wave-in device" every time I try to use the microphone option in X6 to try and narrate my video.
The microphone option works fine in X5...
The trouble is I am using the track motion option from X6 in my video, so I cannot open the video in X5. Is it some sort of driver problem, or is there a corrupt file that needs replacing etc...

Jul 6, 2013when i want to record the monitor screen and press the record buttton of video studio pro x6, i get the message: "there is an error with the audio device" (my version is german, so it says something else, but this is what it means)
i clicked on the I of I/O on "internal audio signal"
i already read somewhere else, to go to control panel->sound-> recording tab->enable/activate stereomix, but no change...

Nov 15, 2013My version is VideoStudio X6. Since the update to Windows 8.1 I have been having this error message every time I tried to record the screen. The message shows "An error occurred on your audio device." and it can't record. The drives're up-to-date, I've checked on the devices they all work fine. I need to record system sounds, however I tried to switch to another device but the error kept appearing. I also wondered if there's an error why would the app not showing the detail of the error but just describe it as "an error" because it's so vague it can be anything.

Apr 14, 2012I just purchased a portable audio recorder, a Zoom H1, to replace the built-in microphones on my JVC video camera. I did this to be able to improve the audio component of my finished videos. I planned on using the audio wave form display that shows up when you activate the Sound Mixer component of VideoStudio. I am recording in .wav file format, as I read previously on this board that VideoStudio works better with wave files than with MP3's. When I put the wave files onto the timeline, and activate the Sound Mixer, It says it is loading the sound data, but does not display the complete wave form info. I have tried recordings made at different qualities, with varying results, as follows:
44 Khz 16 bit - does not display any wave form data
44 Khz 24 bit - displays wave form for part of the file, but not all
48 Khz 16 bit - does not display any wave form data
48 Khz 24 bit - displays wave form for part of the file, but not all
Just for grins, I tried the same audio files in VS X4, same thing. Maybe I'll play with MP3 format files, just to see what happens.
As I mentioned above, I tried recording a file on the Zoom H1 in .mp3 format. The audio properties, as repported by VideoStudio were 44 Khz, 16 bit, 192 Kbps. This file was accepted by VideoStudio with no problems displaying the complete wave form for the complete file. Which it did not do for the .wav files created by the same recorder. I will do a complete test on Sunday, when I will try recording our church service as an .mp3 and videoing the service and see how it works with syncing the two files.
VideoStudio :: Audio Wave Image In X5 Timeline?
Aug 10, 2012Is it possible to have an audio file that's placed in the timeline display the actual wave image rather than just a blank bar?
It doesn't seem like it but thought I'd post the question as other similar editors do have this feature and it seems pretty standard and EXTREMELY USEFUL!

May 20, 2012I tried to use the trial version of VS 11plus with a Honestech Vidbox NW03 video capture device. I wanted to use VS11plus because I was unhappy with the video quality of Honestech VHS to DVD software. The VS wouldn't allow me to use the Vidbox even after uninstalling the Honestech software. I also tried using VS after uninstalling the Vidbox software. The only device that ever worked with VS for me was a Easy cap. Is Easycap the only device that works with VS or did I do something wrong? I have Vista Home Basic, 2.16GHZ, 3GB Ram and 250GB Hard drive on my laptop.

Feb 8, 2011I first used the above on a trial basis and had no problems. Then I bought it and I cannot capture my video. I get the no video capture device installed. I have tried 2 different cameras, computers, video capture drivers, firewires and I uninstalled and reinstalled Studio 12 in addition to installed a trial Pro3. I also uninstalled other devices like Flip Software as was suggested by a Corel support person. I am using Windows XP.

Mar 7, 2013I am unable to install AutoCad LT 2013 on my Windows 7 x64 system. Everytime I try to install I get the error message:
"The system cannot open the device or file specified.
C:UsersEricAppDataLocalTemp\_AI194B.tmpx86en-usComponentsadr2013SetupDesignReview2013.msi."
I can go to that folder and that file is there. However, if I try to run that file it then gives me errors about other missing files, that are not in that folder.
I have tried this with Multiple Logins, including the Adminstrator. I have also, completely wiped out the system and reinstalled Windows 7 from scratch.
I have set the UAC to the lowest level.I have also tried another DVD, and tried copying the files to the machine. No matter what I try I get this same message.One other thing, this is the 2013 Upgrade.
Lightroom :: Auto Open On Device Connect?
Nov 1, 2011When I connect my camera to the computer, Lr does not automatically open. I have gone to the Preferances interface to ensure Show import dialog when memory card is connected is checked.
Lr does not even show up in the Auto Play pop up window.

Mar 26, 2012Any good analog capture device that works well in X4 or X5 I get all the usual problems, Fail to build capture graph, No Audio device shown in the list and so on. I have had every version of Video Studio since version 10 and it’s the only one that will work with these capture devices I am using 3 devices, K World USB 2800, Roxio video capture device USB, and Pinnacle 710 USB They all work great in Video Studio 10 and won’t work in any version higher than that I was hoping X5 might be the ticket but no luck. So I have a version of 10 just for analog capture All X Versions work fine with my HD cameras via firewire or mini DV from other camcorders But will not work at all with USB capture devices ?

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+. The 'vsp' file is too long...One hour fourteen minutes. I made a 'Part 1' and cut the vsp to forty-five minutes and still received the same error message.
I cut the 'vsp' to one minute thirty seconds and it would "Create a Video File'. I've never had this problem before.
It seems with Ulead VideoStudio 11+ whenever I have a problem like this I can resolve it, by backing up all the files, then removing the program, thoroughly clean the hard drive and re-install 11+.

Jan 30, 2011Trying to convert video footage on VHS video to AVI files which I can burn to DVD disc. I bought EasyCap and installed it along with Ulead Video Studio. The program seems to be running OK, the device appears to have been installed OK. I connected the VHS recorder to the Easy Cap device with the Scart to RCS lead supplied with it. When I go to capture video, nothing happens, apart from the clock starting. The screen remains blank and no video is recorded.

Apr 1, 2009I have been re-saving many of my PSD files using CS3 image prosesssor with compatibility mode turned off. They have simply been saved again as PSD files into a different folder - no changes to the original PSD files. This has worked well and reduced file sizes by up to 50% (I had compatibility mode turned on previously).
of the 60 files I have processed, 3 will no longer open , I get a message that says "file will not open due to a program error."
these files have only ever been used in CS3. , they are quite large
from just under 1GB to 1.5GB, however other similar large files have processed successfully. I have re-tried without success.
I still have the original files so no data loss is involved.

I have been working on an image file for several hours now, and as a result, there were MANY files open (probably over 30).
I attempted to save the file, and recieved the following error message:
"Could not read the contents of [folder name] Too many open files"
I then closed each of the open files except the file I was trying to save, but got the same results.
The same error message pops up when I try to open a file as well.

Aug 13, 2013I created a text which follow a wave (a sinusoïd) in an image. I would like to do the same with an equation.
I tried it the following way:
I edit my equation with latex and make a pdf.
I import my pdf in cs6.
I make a deformation of my pdf to follow the wave.
The problem with this methods is all the char are deformed and the equation is no more readable.

I'm using CS3 on a PC. I'm using the wave filter to distort an image. writing down all the characteristics ie, # of generators, wavelength, amplitude, scale ect. Is there anyway to recreate that EXACT wave pattern on a particular image once I've left the program? It seems to generate another algorithm even if I input the same numbers.
Also, I'm distorting an image at 72dpi as a test. When I replace the image with an exact replica at 300dpi and apply the wave distortion, I'm unable to get even remotely the same results. the wave patterns are much tighter. I've moved around all the characteristics with no result.

Mar 8, 2012I created the following design ( the first image ) but I messed with the "wave" filter settings and got this nasty burst effect on the outer edge of the "wax seal". No matter what I seem to try with the wave settings, I can't get back to the smooth "blob" shape that you see in the black and white outline below. I've tried all the combinations of generators, wavelength min / max and amplitude min/max. from the attached image .
