VideoStudio :: Easy Cap Device - Convert Video Footage From VHS To AVI
Jan 30, 2011
Trying to convert video footage on VHS video to AVI files which I can burn to DVD disc. I bought EasyCap and installed it along with Ulead Video Studio. The program seems to be running OK, the device appears to have been installed OK. I connected the VHS recorder to the Easy Cap device with the Scart to RCS lead supplied with it. When I go to capture video, nothing happens, apart from the clock starting. The screen remains blank and no video is recorded.
I have been using VS11But, I have just bought a new camera, a Panasonic HC V500. A small section of the info on the camera are the following lines:- 2D-to-3D Conversion. The camera processing engine automatically converts your 2D footage to 3D without the need for the optional 3D lens, to then be able to view on your 3D TV for an enhanced viewing experience.
Progressive Video Format for Smooth Action. The Full HD format employed in this model uses 1080/50p (AVCHD Progressive compliant) imaging. The Progressive format carries roughly double the image information of a 1080i interlace signal, minimising flickering and after-images.
As I edit and convert all my video footage into movies, will the latest VS programme retain the 3D conversion ability/facility, if so, what is the latest (or best) VS edition to purchase.
I get no audio on playback of videos captured from my VCR using Easy CAP. I've tried making the USB audio input my default mic, and clicking the listen to this mic, and gotten as far as hearing the video sound as I capture. But still no playback sound. Even tried switching back to speakers for playback.
Since there's no built-in VS5 provision for audio editing (specifically a sound equalizer), what's the easiest way to edit the audio portion of the video? Sony Movie Studio 12 Platinum has built-in Sound Force and the capability of using Audacity as a plug-in.
I have at least 100 3-4 minute clips that require audio EQ.
I have VideoStudio Pro X2 and my operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm trying to put together a film, including some sequences which have been filmed on an IPad (I think) for which the aspect ratio is a thin vertical rectangle. I would like to change the shape to a horizontal rectangle by removing segments at the top and bottom.
I am using VSX5 and after rendering a project of video, where I have added transitions and titles, the video image is not as clear as it was before I rendered.
I have captured the footage from a mini dv camera using firewire, or, someone else has captured the video footage on a dvd using a dvd burner and given me the dvd to import into VSX5. Sometimes VSX5 will not read that dvd for import, so I have used freemake video converter, and converted the dvd into an mpeg file and put it in a folder on my computer where VSX5 "grabs" it. During the edit phase, the video is clear, after render, it loses some of it's clarity and is blurry.
This has not always been the case. The only thing that has changed with VSX5 is I installed sp2.
Is there anyway to convert the video to 4:3. When I save it 4:3 file it doesn't cut it down. It makes the video look back. Can I cut the outside edges to make the video 4:3?
I would like to convert my recorded mp4 videofiles with Corel Videostudio X3 to for example a DVD. The mp4 file is from a Sony DSC-H5 photocamera. It is HD quality not 1920 but i believe 1440 or something like that. What are the best settings to convert the mp4 to DVD without losing quality?
I edit an mp4 video and produce a new mp4 video. If I produce the new mp4 while I open the project, the screen size is normal. (c_not_use_batch.jpg) If I produce the new file using batch convert, the screen size is reduced (c_use_batch.jpg) However, the setting for producing the files are the same (c_setting.jpg)
The files and settings are the same. The only difference is using batch convert or not.
I am using photoshop cs4 and was just wandering if this version still has the ability to preview a still image of what you are working on via firewire output? I know you could in other versions but I do not see it anywhere under the file/export menu. I have a device conected and it works fine with Premiere and After effects but I do not see it show up in Photoshop. Anything I need to setup to make this work?
I've got RED footage that imports codec 3.x, RedColor3 and RedGamma3. I'm delivering rec709 but would like to work linearized. Do I just change the color settings to rec709 in the color box and linear in the curve option to work correctly?
I want to film my CEO standing on London Bridge as people walk over it. The trick is is that I want to film him at normal speed (for obvious reasons), and i want the people walking past us to be shown at double the speed.
Having thought logically I guess I need to film people walking over the bridge separately from filming my CEO, then somehow superimpose him on the that footage.
My installation does not recognize the EasyCap adapter (nothing shows on "Select Device" menu). I have re-installed and downloaded 64 bit drivers from the net with no effect. Running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, SP2.
After selecting "interpreting footage" in after effects after importing my video clip (the clip shows 24.999 fps) i change it to 25fps and it starts working. It took me a while to figure out why my clips werent matching with my seperate audio, there was missing clips. My footages i import are 30 minutes and after i interpret my footage, it gets shortened to 22 minutes. I am using Windows 7 and AE 5.5.
I opened up my project and all the footage has seemed to change to look like a "film negative". Colors are reversed, etc... Clips on the timeline and clips in the project folder. How can I correct this..
I only have Photoshop CS5 and would like to edit video footage I have of my college fashion show, my portion of which is about 3-4 minutes long. One video I have is taken by a hand held camera and I would like to somehow blur or crop out the distracting audience, which I know will be difficult because the camera is a little unsteady.
My other footage is from the official DVD and is taken straight on from a steady camera. I want to splice the two videos together so you can see all angles of my designs. I think I will need to overlay a new soundtrack (just a song in my library) as well. How much of this is possible in Photoshop, and for an advanced Photoshop user but a complete novice at anything video related, how difficult will this be to acheive? How time intensive? Before I delve into researching tutorials and online resources, I really would like to know if it's even a feasible project.
The capture went just fine when digitizing my tape and the .mov file has both audio and video during playback in both quick time and Adobe Premeir Pro, but when I drag it into the time line only audio will show up. Even weirder it's 4 layers of audio instead of just one audio and one video. This only began with videos that I catured today. When using footage I captured on a previous day it works just fine. What went wrong? Where's my video!?
Many of the transition effects have a green color. Is there a way to change mulitples at a time or is the only way to do one at a time? I'd rather use a more neutral color than bright kelly green.
I tried to use the trial version of VS 11plus with a Honestech Vidbox NW03 video capture device. I wanted to use VS11plus because I was unhappy with the video quality of Honestech VHS to DVD software. The VS wouldn't allow me to use the Vidbox even after uninstalling the Honestech software. I also tried using VS after uninstalling the Vidbox software. The only device that ever worked with VS for me was a Easy cap. Is Easycap the only device that works with VS or did I do something wrong? I have Vista Home Basic, 2.16GHZ, 3GB Ram and 250GB Hard drive on my laptop.
I first used the above on a trial basis and had no problems. Then I bought it and I cannot capture my video. I get the no video capture device installed. I have tried 2 different cameras, computers, video capture drivers, firewires and I uninstalled and reinstalled Studio 12 in addition to installed a trial Pro3. I also uninstalled other devices like Flip Software as was suggested by a Corel support person. I am using Windows XP.
I have 2 years of footage related to a project and I'm looking to have it centralised and have metadata attached to it that will allow me to cross reference footage, for example, when someone in an interview talks about losing weight and to be able to pull up clips that relate to that.
I got a feeling that an Excel spreadsheet is the way...
Ive been attempting to import AVCHD video footage captured on a Panasonic into Premier Pro CS6 on my MacPro. I've tried this from the camera and after copying the entire folder to my desktop. The footage is there, but has no audio!
When I create a new Project I can't browse for new music. I press the Browse key and "Desktop" and "My Computer" come up but when I click on "My Computer" nothing happens.
when i want to record the monitor screen and press the record buttton of video studio pro x6, i get the message: "there is an error with the audio device" (my version is german, so it says something else, but this is what it means)
i clicked on the I of I/O on "internal audio signal"
i already read somewhere else, to go to control panel->sound-> recording tab->enable/activate stereomix, but no change...
I have a Sony camera wich can record 1920x1080 50p.It's the absolute best quality that camera can capture. The raw footage looks marvelous. After open in Videostudio X6 it plays ok but the final disc blu-ray or avchd even on dvd format the footage looks juddery especially on pans and moving subjects.
I have X4 Pro, X5 and X6 Ultimate installed on my computer; as well as, a few older versions of ULead software. I keeping getting this message: "device error. Cannot open the wave-in device" every time I try to use the microphone option in X6 to try and narrate my video.
The microphone option works fine in X5...
The trouble is I am using the track motion option from X6 in my video, so I cannot open the video in X5. Is it some sort of driver problem, or is there a corrupt file that needs replacing etc...
