When I connect my camera to the computer, Lr does not automatically open. I have gone to the Preferances interface to ensure Show import dialog when memory card is connected is checked.
Lr does not even show up in the Auto Play pop up window.
Since I upgraded to Lightroom 4.1 from 3 the Import Dialog screen will not auto open when I insert a memory Cart to my Imac. I have the correct box ticked in the preferences.

View 2 Replies View Related I have X4 Pro, X5 and X6 Ultimate installed on my computer; as well as, a few older versions of ULead software. I keeping getting this message: "device error. Cannot open the wave-in device" every time I try to use the microphone option in X6 to try and narrate my video.
The microphone option works fine in X5...
The trouble is I am using the track motion option from X6 in my video, so I cannot open the video in X5. Is it some sort of driver problem, or is there a corrupt file that needs replacing etc...
I am unable to install AutoCad LT 2013 on my Windows 7 x64 system. Everytime I try to install I get the error message:
"The system cannot open the device or file specified.
C:UsersEricAppDataLocalTemp\_AI194B.tmpx86en-usComponentsadr2013SetupDesignReview2013.msi."
I can go to that folder and that file is there. However, if I try to run that file it then gives me errors about other missing files, that are not in that folder.
I have tried this with Multiple Logins, including the Adminstrator. I have also, completely wiped out the system and reinstalled Windows 7 from scratch.
I have set the UAC to the lowest level.I have also tried another DVD, and tried copying the files to the machine. No matter what I try I get this same message.One other thing, this is the 2013 Upgrade.

Yes, I'm probably the only person on the planet that wants this, but I liked how the Auto Tone auto adjusted the Exposure slider (ONLY!) and left all the other sliders at zero in the Lightroom 4 beta.
Is there a way to write a preset that returns that behavior?
I imported many photos from my external device (CF card or iPhone) manually, i.e. I think Lightroom does not recognize that I have already imported all those Photos.
Now I want to change my workflow and import them directly from the device. I want to use the functionality that only "new" Photos are shown and imported. However, Lightroom marks all thousands of Photos on my iPhone and CF card as new. How can I manually "unmark" all Photos on the card as "new" such that Lightroom will identify the "next" Photos as new but not the old ones?
How does the "new" detection algorithm work anyways? Will it work correctly if I move the imported pictures afterwards or delete some?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi have been a long user of romcat... but would like to use the new corel connect. i use the folders selected to my HD folder that has all my cdr files (20yrs worth from ver 1). when i type in a search word that is in 100's of my cdr files keywords... connect doesnt display them. In romcat it does display them, even older files, with the same key word. connect only shows cdr files that have in its file name part of the search word, but seems to ignore the key words in the files.
I have all my job files with important key words within them, but the actual file names are simple job numbered names. i noticed on searches from X5 content on dvd, the files also are just numbers, but the search finds key words.
I'm using LR4.1 on both devices.
I just bought a MacBook Air as my travel device. I have a Windows laptop that I use for everyday activities and processing. I just did a shoot and imported my RAW files into a brand new catalog on the MBA. I flagged picks and did some processing (both heavy processing and light processing) on the MBA. I saved Metadata to file, ejected the external hard drive from the MBA and then hooked it up to the Windows device.
Issue #1: I cannot open the new catalog created on the MBA on my Windows device. It just fails.
Issue #2: When I simply synchronize the drive to the Windows laptop, the files do come in and the processing that I did comes in too. However, the flags do not transport. And, any adjustments I did with the adjustment brush are not available for editing on the Windows laptor. (If I "reset" it does go back to the original RAW file, but before resetting, I have no access to the adjustement brush settings on the Windows device)
I have all my data and LR installed on a desktop machine. As I never find time at home to cleanse and work on images, I would love to do so on my journeys and trips... Therefore I installed LR5 also on my laptop and would like to play around with smart previews to shape my workflow.
Is there a description on how one can generate the smart previews on the main machine and transfer them onto the mobile device?
When I have this set up and running. Would the import and work on new photos on the run also join back into the main library once back home togehter with the smart preview sync or would this have to be covered by another workflow importing a new catalogue?
Today I tried to export photos to Flickr and I got an error. I also tried to export to Facebook and failed. I tried to check for updates to the plugins and I could not connect to the update server. I checked maps and the program reported that they were offline. I am not having a problem connecting to the Internet with any other program. Spoitfy, Chrome, and Evernote all working fine.
This started today. It was fine last week. I have tried quitting LR4 as well as rebooting my computer. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I searched the forums and I saw similar problems mentioned, but no solutions.
In Lightroom 5 I can not connect to the internet, even when I know the internet is working properly in other apps.

Okay, so the simple macro i have been working on isnt just for personal use. We will use this macro all day long - but the issue is - my coworkers im sharing the macro with would prefer the macro open when program opens.
Now that i had set the macro's position down - how do i got about having the macro auto open upone start up.
I am using Photoshop CS2 (9.0.2) on Windows XP (SP2). Whenever I open an image file using PS, the document window constrains itself to the dimensions of the image (IE: if the image file is 20cm X 15cm, the document window opens to 20cm X 15cm dimensions). Can I change it so whenever I open a new document it will automatically maximise the document window?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving a small issue with Civil 3D 2013 recently ( I think). The last month or so, it's been automatically running regen when I open a drawing. No problems there, where the problem comes in is if I open an exported drawing (from this computer) or a drawing from someone else computer any polylines in the drawing vanish.
I can just run an undo to get the polylines back, but any time I paste something into the drawing all my polylines vanish again. So my fix at the moment is to undo the regen, and then copy and paste my drawing into a new drawing.
Is this just something corrupted I need to do a reinstall to fix, or is there something I might be missing?
EDIT: Also thought I should point put that I'm using an Nvidia Quadro 600 video card running the latest drivers. I have not installed any patches or hotfixes for Civil 2013

View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in a university dorm which requires a proxy server to connect to the internet. Everything else (browser, torrents, skype) all seem to work fine through this connection however I get various error messages when trying to publish, or check or an update in Lightroom.
I'm almost certain it has something to do with the connection because I don't get any of these problems when using another internet source. There don't seem to be any proxy or internet connection settings in Lightroom.
Since i have updated to PS CC en Lr5.3 the edit in function in Lightroom doesn't function properly. Or sometimes not at all. I removed the adobe plist files. And then it will work. Accept when I restart the computer the next day. The problem keeps comming back! The operating system is Apple mavericks.

When you finished creating a new Sheet Set in the SSM, it would then immediately open the new Sheet Set in the SSM. (a few seats of ACA 2012 were in use in the office) In ACA2011, it didn't do this. You had to browse for the newly created .dst file to open it. (I was using ACA 2011 at the same time as those others were using ACA 2012).
Now we've all upgraded to ACA 2013 in the office. However, that nice little feature appears to be gone again. Any way to turn that back on in ACA 2013?

View 10 Replies View RelatedWe have our options set to Auto Publish on Save (Autocad 2011). On some of our stations, the PDF will pop up automatically. This is what we WANT to happen. On other stations, the pdf has to be found and then opened to make sure it is correct. (this step, which is apparently way to difficult for some people, is not being performed, leading to extra work/time later to complete the project) I had everyone ensure their DWGtoPDF.pc3 custom properties was set to "open in PDF viewer when done" (and when they do a straight plot, it does come right up) It just wont do it when its thru Auto Publish. Mine is one of them that comes up just fine....I have looked at every setting I have and tried to compare with theirs, but it all looks the same.
