I placed I-Joist on the floor plan and used the wrong spacing. Can I select the already placed joist and change the spacing from 12 inch OC to 16 inches OC? I know I can select the ones I want to change, but I do not see in the properties window where I can change the spacing. Unless I am overlooking it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen drawing using imperial units in Revit, it of course interprets values you input as feet until you press " to let it know you mean inches. As I am constantly going between Revit and AutoCAD, which does the opposite, I keep missing the " out of habit and wasting time repeating everything. My question is, is there a way to change the input from feet to inches so I can move more seamlessly between the two programs?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI', using CS4 on Windows 7. I'm making a 24x36 poster with lots of images on it. Each image is it's own layer. Some of the images are too big and I need to make them smaller.
Instead of just using Control+T and holding shift to make them smaller, I'd like to be able to specify in inches what the resized image should be (like 5" wide for example). Is there a way to do this? I see the % boxes, is there something similar for inches? I can't figure it out. I've got Options turned on under Windows.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSomeone would like a small 1 inch by 1 inch logo for invoices at 600 DPI. However I understand that illustrator doesnt work in DPI or PPI since it's vector. Would I have to transfer the small image over to photoshop. I did try and save a 1 inch by 1 inch logo at 600 PPI, however when I saved the image it was no longer 1 inch by 1 inch. If I try to draw a square box in any size, illustator does not make it square.
For example, if I select the Rectangle Tool, click in the art space and set the rectangle to one inch by one inch, I get a box that is 1.0003 by 1.0003
Here is a screen shot of what I am getting.
This is also happening to any rectangle and circle.
Even if I hold down shift to keep the preportions lock, it still happens.
I have check and nothing is snapping or set to snap.
This is a major issue for me as I use illustator for creating dielines and those dielines need to be very accurate.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a fully completed drawing that is in 'architectural' (inches) and I would like to be able to change all of the 'feet & inches' linear dimensions (which form part of the drawing when the layer is turned on) to solely 'mm' instead.
The UNITS command keeps coming to mind, but I know that's not how to go about it. I've Googled for like 45 mins and read some highly overcomplicated instructions that lost me.

I can't figure out how to get my levels to show fractions of inches. I can add a dimension from level to level and see the fraction, but the level itself insists on rounding to nearest inch. View scale makes no difference.

I did notice that when one person had a view or sheet open that I needed to work on that is when the error came up the most. so when the three of us would complete a task we would have to synchronize right after that task e.g. if I had several lights to place on the RCP I would place one light and synchronize and then place another light and synchronize. If I tried to do too much or waited too long to synchronize the error would come up.

The picture here is my Autocad 2012 on the left and on the right is what I get from another company. How can I change my style so the lettering is more spaced out like the one on the right? This is not just for the tolerance box. All my dimensions have a similar problem where the text is not spaced out.
Such as if I make a dimension, it says "R.125" where there is no space between the "R" and ".125"
On Illustrator CC. Set up a new document, setup 4 artboards with a 10mm spacing between each board... hit OK. Now how do I change this spacing now? I can't find reference to it anywhere.

I am drawing a plan view of building that is 11 feet by 36 feet. I thought my map units were in feet but when I draw in the linear dimensions, it reads 11 inches x 3 feet. How do I change this?
