View 2 RepliesWhat is the best export/import format for sending 3D files. I need some neutral format files, possibly Solidworks but I am not sure. Also any export settings to make sure I get decent quality files.
Nothing like getting a surface model when you want solid model.

How do you export from coreldraw to illustrator without it cutting up compound paths?
Currently if you have text that has been converted to curves, all of the letters with counters (or holes in them like O, P, B etc) get cut in half. Surely there's a way to stop this?
I have a few hours of a documentary project originally recorded in S-VHS that I wish to edit it in Premiere Pro.
What would be the best video format to have it transferred to?
I am thinking of buying a new Sony camera (finally moving from mini-dv tape!). The HXR-NX3 records video using the AVCHD 2.0 format. Will I be able to import directly into CS 6 without doing any conversions? And will that give me HD video suitable for recording to blu-ray?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Maya and the 3D design environment. I'm going thru the online tutorials and built the sample Greek temple. I have a MakerBot replicator 2. I did convert the Nurbs to polygons for the column bases and the temple roof. I exported the individual pieces to obj format to print. My question involves the export of the roof/torus group. The "roof" is not smooth but slightly faceted (I'm not using the correct jargon here I'm sure). It's kind of tortoise shell like in smoothness. What do I adjust during export so the rood object comes over smoother?
I'd attach the roof file but the site doesnt allow for some reason.
I just installed Illustrator CS6 and find out that I literally have to manually checkmark "Use Artboard" when exporting to png format EVERY time I export an image.
I often use my illustrator models for animation for powerpoint presentations, so 1 artwork can easily be animated into 30 png images.
Is this a really bad joke from the developers side, or am I missing something?
PS: In CS4, you can just checkmark "Use Artboard" once every session (ie. every time you open Illustrator).
How do I get a premiere CC project to a web-friendly viewing format?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have added closed captions to my Premiere Pro project took bloody ages and all looks and runs great within the project. Simple white captions over the video.
Although, when I render the video out with the closed captions embedded within the video, cirtain captions seem to have slightly "dodgy" formatting when played back in quick time player.
Some sections of the captions have a black background on and some do not. As I previously mentioned the captions are all fine within the project. It just seems to happen on the render file
I'm making a documentary with subtitled footage. A translator has used closed captions within Premiere to create the subtitles for me.
Now I need some way of formatting them. I have the full Adobe CC suite (including After Effects and Premiere) but haven't been able to find a way to convert or export Premiere Closed Captions into a way that allows me to format them (ie change font, size etc).
I make *.MTS videos in the format of 1280x720. When I output the video (PR Pro CS6) using Encore CS6 to produce a DVD it outputs in the format 720x576. Is there a way I could maintain the 1280x720 format?

I imported an .stp file into Inventor 2011, saved it as an .ipt, and edited several features. When I export this edited file as an .stp and sent it to a client, they said that the file contained multiple errors: it showed no solid bodies (only surfaces), and the 3D thread feature I created (using a thread cutter and Inventor "Coil" command) did not read correctly (the thread I created was an edit of a previous thread, and apparently the .stp file simultaneously showed the new thread and the old, unedited threads).
Creating an assembly (.iam) and shrinkwrapping it before exporting as an .stp does not work.
(When I open the stp file I created [in Inventor] the file, of course, reads correctly. All solid bodies are visible, as well as the single thread.)
How to export an .stp so that it reads correctly in SolidWorks?
I am not getting an option of exporting in mpeg 4 format? Infact when I am rendering in AVI file the size of the file is extremely huge. Need reducing the file size & exporting in MPEG4 format.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am on the final stages of finishing my first ever HD project, having made the jump Premiere Pro 2.0 to Premiere CS5. Mid-way thru I found it necessary to upgrade to Creative Cloud, so that is where I am working now. The HD world is so vastly different from the old SD flow that every single step of this project has been a huge learning curve for me. I am basically an 'oldie' but for all practical purposes I am a total 'newbie' at this. That said, I am now finding myself ready to export my project to DVD in a SD form with Stereo sound.
I am working with footage shot on the Red Epic. At my current stage I am working withh ProRes 444 renders from which I have created a full nested 74 minute timeline. Frame rate is 23.976 and the source is1920x1080 with 1.0 square pixels.
So now my movie is done, and it looks and sounds like I want it to. The question now, in a nutshell, is what file type and settings should I use to export my movie so that I can retain aspect ratio? Should I output a movie first or take the project into another program like encore first and make my disc from there?
Also, I have my first screening coming up (primarily for cast and crew and industry insiders) in a couple of weeks, so I need to create a 1080 HD File with my 5.1 surround track that I project from a laptop. The screening venue has the capability to do that via a simple HDMI cable hookup, but does the laptop I use need to have any special capabilities to do the job? And what is the best file type to use for that?
I have always been more of an artist than a tech head, but I am pretty much doing the whole post on this movie alone, with the exception of the Dissolve renders and the sound design, which I had done for me (I have a great finished 5.1 design in .wav format, as well as a stereo version).
I should also mention that I currently have Encore CS5. Can I work with this on a Premiere CC project?
I can't believe there is not more demand for this. My web dev is asking me for over 300 video clips in both .web and .ogg - - AME does not do this.Any success with a 3rd party plug-in of some sort. I can use Fire fogg (from Firefox) but it's slow using over the web as opposed to exporting from Premiere.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a recent convert to Adobe NLE systems coming from FCP 7. My question is: What is the highest quality codec that I can use successfully with AME and Premiere Pro CC?
I’m working on a project that is targeted to screen in theaters (festivals) so I want to finish with the best possible quality. My source was film telecined to Apple FCP Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2, 1920 x 1080, Millions, Data rate 1060.67 mbits/sec. However, that format is too unwieldy for editing. When using FCP for previous films, I transcoded those uncompressed files to ProRes 422 (HQ) for editing and for theater screenings.
I see that i can use ProRes with Premiere, with a little work. if he/she recommends a better non-quicktime format for editing and projecting?
I am an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber and am using AME CC (version 7.2.0.43) and Premiere Pro CC (ver 7.2.1). I have installed all suggested updates. I’m running OSX 10.9.1 on my 2011 imac (core i7 with 32 GB of RAM). My graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB.
I just bought Canon LEGRIA HF G25 and this camera stores videos in mts format. I open mts files in Premiere Pro CC but when I try to play it in the preview as it does not look good. Therefore I am wondering if there is an easy way to convert mts files to MP4 format without quality loss?

I have a Flash project I'm working on that is video with corresponding bulletpoints displayed next to it. While I've gotten it to work with embed cue points in the FLV file so that at certain times in the video the Flash movie goes to certain frames to display the relevant bullet points I haven't gotten it so that it can tell what the appropriate bullet point is if someone scrubs the video past the last cue point trigger. I found a process to do it using actionscript cue points instead of navigation cue points (via this guide: [URL], but it uses an external xml file for the cue points. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get that XML file without having to redo all the cue points manually. Is there someway to make Premiere Pro (CS3) export an xml file of the markers placed in my timeline instead of embedding them into the FLV file? Alternatively if there is a way I could extract them from the FLV file, that would be acceptible too.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been attempting to export a video from both Premiere and Media encoder in the H.264 codec and it continually discards the final few seconds of black frames. I have tried placing black video there, but it doesn't make a difference.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to export my video game footage that I took. Which was captured in 60fps, 1920x1080, 48khz. I'm trying to export at h.264, 60fps, vbr 2 pass.
My concern is that when I increase the target bitrate the file size increases a lot. I left it at 10 atm and the estimated file size is at 1430MB. Now I've watched videos on YouTube, on Adobe Premiere export settings for gameplay footage and their file size is under 100MB with just about the same output settings as mine. I've tried exporting in Premiere but it just gets stuck at 0%, Adobe Media Encoder works but the estimated completion time is around 4 hours. When I watched those exporting videos it was almost instantly completed when he hit the export button. I could just wait 4 hours for every video I make but that's just not efficient. So I'm just curious on any solutions to my problem.
Could it be my computer specs? I mean I'm able to play games like Skyrim completely fine but it's not like I was recording a game such as that. I was recording an old Gamecube game for goodness sake.
