When I try opening Pr CC I get error code 16. The message asks me to unistall Pr CC then reinstall it, so that's what I did, but I keep getting that error code when I try opening Pr CC and it keeps crashing before it can even open the program. Error code 16 means?
View 4 RepliesSo I got a new mac and since I have not been able to export anything. I've reinstalled everything, updated it and fenagled with all the settings but nothing seems to stop it. I am using the latest verton of Mavericks and it only happens when I hit export to media.I also checked adobe media encoder and that gets the same error message and cause.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having a major issue exporting a sequence out of premier pro CS5 that contains high res jpeg images. The system freezes up during the export. I've been successful exporting the sequence to H.264 (vimeo HD preset) after removing the jpeg. So, I am fairly confident it I've isolated the issue. However, I've gone over the recommended jpeg file sizes for premier pro and am well within the guidelines. The images I'm using are saved at a resolution of 300dpi with a size of about 5600 (w) x 3700 (h) pixels for an average of about 61 megapixels per image. The sequence plays just fine within premier pro. There is only a problem when I go to export.

Crash occurs when trying to import HDV .MOV file.This is a consistent problem when importing .MOV files of this type.

For the longest time if I ever tried to export or render a video longer than 5 minutes, my Premiere Pro or Media Encoder crashes. I don't know why but it is EXTREMELY irritating when attempting to make lengthened gaming videos. I have tried 15 different methods all online, to no avail. It always crashes around the 40% mark in Adobe Premiere and it isn't a corrupt project.

My PC will crash when attempting to export in Premiere Pro, I will get the blue screen.
I ran a memory diagnostic test to see if it was the ram, it did not come back as having faulty ram.
Somtimes the pc will just freeze too.
Seems like this only happens with adobe.
I somtimes could export a file after attempting 2-3 times but now it crashes almost every time.
I have tried many different export formats but it seems to not be limited to just one format, it happens with all formats.
I have tried to find a solution but I still have not.

This has only started happening during the last 2 days after adding the /3g boot.ini patch to try to resolve a CS4 slowdown issue. It appears to have fixed the slowdown issue (although I'm not sure it has stayed active long enough to say that for sure) but is now randomly crashing. The error in event viewer is as follows Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 11.0.1.0, stamp 499bf9b5, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x3a753913.
There is no pattern to the crashes. It has even crashed when it has been in the background with no image loaded. I know I could remove the /3g patch & hopefully CS4 would stop crashing, but then I would have to live with the slowdown issue. I want to have my cake & eat it too. Any ideas ?
My CS6 stops all time, almost minute to minute. When it happens, I see some files with .tmp extension.what is that and solve my problem, because it's causing me a lot of trouble to my workflow

I did notice that when it opens the Initializing Type Tool progress bar doesn't show up and I just noticed on the blue start up window something called "Building TWAIN" - I had read in a previous thread about a TWAIN plug in attaching itself to photoshop.
I am currently experiencing a big problem when using X4 which is causing some major headaches here in the Workplace!
Whenever I hit space, paste text or do anything involving fonts I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error folowed by a non-responding dialog with force close.
I have been using X4 for some years now and not sure what has caused this issue, it was fine in the morning and stopped working in the afternoon.
I have SP2 installed and no changes have been made to any settings to cause this.
X4 is the main programme I use here at work and this problem is grinding the place to a halt.
I have been using LR since version 1 without problems. I run LR 4.4 on an iMac 27 inch with an external HD - originally OSX 10.6.8. The disk was originally firewire but I have recently changed that to a USB3.0 4tb drive. I copied all my photos and catalogs onto that drive and it worked without problems for about 2-3 months. Recently however I am getting crashes whereas I have never had one before. Suddenly LR4.4 started saying that it had experienced an unknown error and had to quit. On re-launch it wouldn't open the catalog. In fact not only would it not open the catalog, it had left 2 files in the folder with the catalog - lrcat-journal and lrcat-lock. Neither of these can be deleted (I get an unknown error code -50 if I try to do so). However if I restart the computer I can then delete them.
I thought it might be an operating system problem and finally upgraded to OSX 10.8.5. Same problems but I noted an error message saying that there had been a problem reading from the preview cache. I deleted the contents of a folder called Lightroom Cache and deleted my previews. (In fact I run an identical system at another location and simply copy catalogs from one system to the other as I work on them and so I copied the previews from the other system). This seemed to work better.
But then I installed the demo of LR 5, upgraded my LR4 catalog and am having precisely the same problems. I should say that the other system (still on 10.6.8 and an external firewire drive) has worked flawlessly since version 4 was released - and had no problems with versions 1, 2 and 3.
Since LR 5 is exhibiting the same problems, my only thought is that it is a problem with my USB drive. I have run Diskwarrior on it and rebuilt the directory - no problems encountered and have run Disk Utility on it - again no problems found. I have had no problems with the drive that I am aware of - it seems perfectly stable and behaves exactly as it should.
I cannot use LR 4.4 or 5 on this system. Is there any reason why LR should have started to object to the USB drive (it is USB 3.0 and my iMac is only USB 2.0 but there is backwards compatibility). Something is very wrong but I can't work out where to start.
Recently my photoshop CS5 has been playing up and often when I try to save files it will freeze at the point of clicking ok and crash. Today also it crashed when I tried to open a photoshop file.This is incredibly frustrating as I'm a graphic designer and trying to complete some urgent work but I'm getting nowhere because nothing I'm doing is saving and I have to keep starting over. It's literally crashed about 40 times the past day and I'm wasting so many hours that I just don't have.
My version as mentioned is CS5 and I updated it yesterday with no avail.

I don't think I've done anything for this to start happening it just came out of nowhere..I usually only do the same few things with the program and also havn't altered files or even the computer.
New installation on a new computer. First was crashing when I adjusted som Applicatin Options. Ran Service Pack 1. That seemed to work. But now I cannot even open up one *.ipt file without it crashing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased CS5.5 extended about 3 weeks ago and all was working fine. Just yesterday Photoshop started crashing whenever I try to open files. I've deleted preferences several times, validated my fonts, restarted my Mac, etc. all to no avail. Photoshop has become useless to me and it's part of how I make my living. InDesign seems to work OK but I haven't tried Illustrator yet.

I was trying to open an image that had already been processed by me in CS6 on this laptop.
When i select the image that i want to open CS6 launches but then i recieve an error message saying that CS6 is unable to open the image. Frustatlingly this does not happen with every image.
One person has said to reinstall the software but i downloaded it from the Adobe site and don't wnt to end up paying twice.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed some actions from MCP's site and messed with a few of them. Today I downloaded and installed the MCP Facebook actions. I was able to mess around with it a bit along with some other action until after a few minutes I reveived a message from Adobe telling me that it has detected that a program closed unexpectedly and asked if I wanted to send an error report, which I have. I gave it a rest for a while but it is still crashing. I can get into the Organizer but when I attempt to go into any of the edit areas, it will load up and after a few seconds I get the message. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been re-saving many of my PSD files using CS3 image prosesssor with compatibility mode turned off. They have simply been saved again as PSD files into a different folder - no changes to the original PSD files. This has worked well and reduced file sizes by up to 50% (I had compatibility mode turned on previously).
of the 60 files I have processed, 3 will no longer open , I get a message that says "file will not open due to a program error."
these files have only ever been used in CS3. , they are quite large
from just under 1GB to 1.5GB, however other similar large files have processed successfully. I have re-tried without success.
I still have the original files so no data loss is involved.
When designing brochures in X5, we quite often will save a file with no issues, but when we go to re-open it we end up with "encountered an improper arument" error message and the file is no longer able to be opened.
If you try to open the backup it comes up with a "runtime error" and won't open either. We are running Windows 7
I was just trying the features of the new CorelDraw X6 recently. The first problem that I found was - it crashed when I tried to open a file (which was created using CorelDraw X5) with several Fonts (28 different script fonts used and there were only text in the file).
Then I again re-open corel X6 and when I tried to open the same file, it crashed again & again. I did this for 6 times with a crash everytime.
Then at the 7th time when I tried to open the same file in Corel X6, it just got hanged.The file is working fine (and opens quite fast) in Corel X5 as well as Corel X4.
I remeber similar problem happening with Corel X5 initially. Only after Service Pack 2 was made available for Corel X5, that problem solved. Is Corel X6 needs some patches too?
We purchased CC about a week ago and have not been able to use Premier Pro CC. We have tried uninstalling and installing. The message we get it "Adobe Premier Pro CC has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have been working on an image file for several hours now, and as a result, there were MANY files open (probably over 30).
I attempted to save the file, and recieved the following error message:
"Could not read the contents of [folder name] Too many open files"
I then closed each of the open files except the file I was trying to save, but got the same results.
The same error message pops up when I try to open a file as well.
I often move files over to external drives to recover space. If I go to a project and get files missing, I then use locate to find the files but when I clcik on the located file I get a file not supported error though it is the same file.

Is it possible to load a file to the premier pro without converting them?
I've been getting a "Serious Error" message consistently when using Premiere Pro CC on my Macbook Pro. It only seems to remedy itself after a system restart, but eventually it will happen again. Most recently it happened after I used After Effects without issue. Here are my system specs and a copy of the error log.
