I'm using one of the new Mac Book pro Retinas. Every time I open the Type>Font menu the program crashes. Sometimes I can scroll down a little ways but sometimes it crashes immediately.
View 16 RepliesEach time I try to change the fonts the application crashes regardless of whether it's a new/old document. I noticed this happening after I installed Illustrator CS5 by downloading it on my MBP Retina. Never had this problem on my old MBP 10.6.8. Either there's an issue with downloading the application or with 10.7.5.

The problem is:
From within Windows Explorer, I can only open 1 Illustrator file at a time. To get a different file to open, I either have to drag and drop the second file into the tabs under the menubar, or I need to quit Illustrator and re-open it. Also, I can not open additional files from Explorer one-at-a-time if one is already open.
Quirks:
If I go to File -> Open I can select multiple files from within the Open File dialogue window and they open just fine. but i can't do it from within windows explorer.This used to work and now it doesn't.

Windows 7 SP1, Illustrator CS6.The end users spends 7 hours of their 8 hours in Illustrator. As part of the job, they have to have over 40 different files open at the same time because they are working on several jobs at the same time as well as working forward. So the answer is not "they have to close some files". This, unfortunately, is not an option. We recently upgraded them to CS6. They said that version CS5 was fine and didn't crash like this. But Illustrator CS6 crashes on them, closes itself, and obviously they lose all unsaved changes (saving the changes isn't a choice either, because the files are shared and have to stay original).The only modification we've done to the program is to UNcheck "Append" in the preferences.This happens on all 3 computers for all 3 users, so I don't believe it to be end-user related. Any way to get Illustrator to stop crashing?Is there a specific limit on the number of files that can be open?

I've checked the font and it's enabled but Illustrator refuses to open. I uninstalled CC and reinstalled it, but still no joy.
I'm running the latest version of Suitcase Fusion 5 and Verdana is enabled. CS6 seems to work, but my CC files are not opening in an editable form on CS6.

How come I cannot make a legend without AutoCAD crashing?
This video shows that the recover saved the legend that was made but just moving my cursor over it makes AutoCAD crash. It also crashed making a legend in the tutorial.

trying to save PNGs. I have had it happen six times now and again after a restart of my computer. It is weird, it saves JPEG and PSD without issue but PNG's are crashing it.
I am using Photoshop CC with all updates.
Computer is a i7 3820 with 64gig RAM and a GTX 560
OS is Windows 8
Using Mac Mountain Lion. The Organaizer keeps crashing all the time. Installed as Administrator.

The video loads fine, I can see the thumbnail, but when I hit play I hear audio for a few seconds, the video doesn't typically play or plays for only 1 second then the app crashes. Video files play fine in quicktime or Windows media. This happened in 4.3 as well so not related to the upgrade to 4.4. Here is what is logged in the Windows error log.

I've recently installed Photoshop CS version 8.0 on my pc and even though I'm able to design in it as normal, when I come to create a text layer and try changing the font, Photoshop instantly freezes and then crashes, sending an error report saying that the programme is no longer responding. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and I have also followed Adobe's troubleshooting article to include removing all the fonts that Windows does not require and still Photoshop crashes.
I'm using a HP xw4400 workstation with Windows XP version 5.1 and service pack 2. And I have 3.25GB of RAM.
My video card is a NVIDIA FX 1500 and I have no other applications on my computer apart from Scenarist for DVD Authoring.
I have no internet connection and the computer is a relatively new one so is fairly clean and has lots of space on the hard drive.
I have CorelDRAW X4, when I open some file(s), which takes long time to open, even which file size is smaller or bigger.

I use command SSautoopen, set to 1 but doesn't alway work. Sometimes if I close AutoCad and reopen it I can got to drop down menu and click on .dst extension and it will open but if I close out of it it won't open again unless I restart AutoCAD. I thought I used a command from the Express Tool menu but can't find it.

Right-click the horizontal arrow between the tops of the two markers. This opens the Retimer Span Type right-click menu, where you can set the span behavior.
But it simply isn't displaying for me. I've got the latest Nvidia drivers and the latest product update.
I'm about at the end of my tether - I should simply be able to right click the horizontal arrow and display the menu.
It's called the retimer span type menu - and it doesn't open!
How does one affect the size of fonts and menus so you can see with less eye strain? I just plugged in a couple of Dell 30" monitors to work with this but find all of the menus and dialoges to be very small at the 2600x1900ish res. Windows XP display settings found in the control panel do not seem to affect the 3ds UI at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a student version of Maya 2012 on my home computer so I didn’t have to work from college for a project, but I have run into some issues.
Not sure what is going on with my Maya but it won't open files unless I actually go to it in the browser and double click on the file. Even once I have done that I can only save over it, save as doesn't work. I also can't create or set projects. There are probably more problems but these are the ones I noticed/really need.
