May 9, 2013I would like to increase the font size in many text layers at a time by selecting them in the layers panel. The font increases, but the text boxes don't expand to fit the increased size text. So I am having to make each box bigger manually. Is there a way to have the boxes expand to fit bigger text automatically through the layers panel?

Apr 27, 2011I'm perfectly happy with the TrueType font (BankGothic Md BT), but all the style settings change to the T1 equivalent every time I close, and when I open the file again the T1 text does not show up. I can go through and reset all the styles, then re-apply them, but it wastes a lot of time.

Photoshop :: Updating Text Layers Changes Font
Jul 27, 2009I am using CS2 on a XP64 machine. I am editing a .psd originally created in Photoshop 7 but saved under a different file name in CS2.When I open the file, a dialog box with this text appears: "Some text layers need to be updated before they can be used for vector output. Do you want to update these layers now?" The options are No and Update. Updating the layers changes all the text layers from font "Times New Roman" to "Radioactive", which I'm sure isn't a standard installed font. To avoid the problem in future edits, I saved the .psd under a different name through CS2 and then deleted all the offending text layers and recreated them using "Times New Roman" again. However, after saving the file and reopening it, I get the same problem as before. Should I perhaps delete the "Radioactive" font? I'd really rather not have to enter all the text in again.

I now have the official release of CS6, and I am still seeing this issue. And for clarification, here's what the issue is:

- I start off creating a text layer with a font size of 20px.
- I then transform this layer to make it larger.
- I copy the layer over so I have identical text layers.
- When I select each individually, I am shown the new, larger font size, we'll just say 40px. But when I select both together, it shows the original font size of 20px in the character palette. When I increase the font size with both selected to say 30px, it actually makes the text more like 60px.

Apr 10, 2013Starting yesterday, I copy/paste text from Word to x6 paragraph text box, save, all fine. But when I attempt to edit that text box, entire program crashes each time I try to save a change.
Sometimes I can make a single change -- add a return -- and save before crash. This is a nightmare. I've relied on Corel for years and suddenly a 5 minute job has become impossible to complete after a day and a half of frustration.
I'm using Win7. This problem started at about the time I added a logitech c920 webcam. The logitech software won't work at all with my system. Logitech says the wacom tablet is the problem.Â
I've uninstalled the logitech AND restored my system to pre-webcam condition (so they say) but the Corel text bug persists.

I can do the first word in one layer and open up a second layer for the next few words, but as soon as I start typing the second word, the first one becomes the color of the second word.

Dec 6, 2006Basically, we get documents from other people and we convert those to our formats to do our work. We use a font called Simplex, but sometimes their document is filled with, like, Comic Sans or something stupid.
The match properties command doesn't seem to change font, just size and alignment. When I use the font properties dialog box, I can set simplex as the font, but when I make new text, it still matches their comic sans.
So two questions: How do I change the default font for the document so that all new text is the way I want it?
And is there a LISP routine which will find all text and change the font property and stuff the way I want it? For multi-line and single line text.
Also note, I've tried selecting all the text and editing properties, but font is not one of the properties I can change. To change font, I have to edit every piece of text one by one. And then ONLY multiline text has the properties to change font. I don't even know how to change the font of a single line text object.

In the front of my drawings i have a view tables. in the second column stays a code that represent a location.
e.g. LVC stays for Low voltage cubicle. Now it is my intention to substitute these code to the description of code in one time and only the second column. The several descriptions are written in an .txt file, like LVC;Low voltage cubicle and on the next row LVP;Low voltage panel, and so on.
I think it is only possible with Lisp? or there are other way?
In the past i did it one by one, because mostly there where 2 or 3 tables, now i have a big project with more than 20 tables.

Jan 30, 2013I have put together this mini tutorial for doing a letterpress effect, and what's really nice is that the text stays as editable text and this effect is editable! You can change the text and/or the font without losing the effect as long as you don't overflow the text box.
I have attached a png large enough for viewing on screen (just click the thumbnail then click the pop up) and a .xar file with the instructions and examples you can pull apart.
You should be able to do this in Designer Pro or Photo & Graphic Designer from version 6 and up.

The blue circle in the color wheel is clearly changing the hue of the blue, though with the other two arms, the circle with the black ring around it, when I drag it to darker hues it changes both the star and the polygon while the other circle only changes hues sometimes if I drag it somewhere completely different. GIMP :: Change Text Size In All Text Layers?
Oct 4, 2011I am creating a layered marine chart with reference points. I've imported the chart and am creating text layers with a reference number in them.
I have about 700 of these to add - a daunting task - but it's for a NZ coastguard unit, so is worthwhile.
The idea is to have a layer with all our reference points on it, so when a chart is updated, we can just import the chart; add back the reference points layers and print it out.
(Why? NZ baynames, danger spots etc usually have 2 names; an english name and a maori name - sometimes we have to cross reference when on the water to find the correct place).
Is creating text layers the best way of doing this?
Is there any way of increasing the size of all the text - instead of having to edit 700 text layers?

Dec 15, 2012when I try to change the font in corel draw x4, the text disappears, this happens with new documents, old documents etc.Â
It works in Photo Paint, but for some reason draw has stopped working. I restarted and tried everything I could think of!!! This seemed to happen after the latest windows 7 update.Â
Also on a sidenote is it possible to get rid of the ads when i start up Draw and PP x4? It keeps hassling me to upgrade. It is really really annoying... seriously I bought this product, why does it have pop up ads???
