Photoshop :: 6.0 Registration Marks, Etc
Oct 11, 2007I am starting a small screen printing business and need help with registration marks. I have adobe photoshop 6.0. Now I know you have to scoll down to print option and then from there you can check a box that says registration marks but they dont work, nothing appears. I have used them before about a year ago so I know how to get them on. They just wont work now...

Aug 21, 2009I'm unable to find a brush option for using a brush to change the density of an existing density to a preset density in the same way color fil is used to fill a tone. An example of the use would be...a shadow or reflection on a 255 white background; when the brush with the color or shade is used to paint over the background, it fills only the shadow/reflection in with the preset density. Thus allowing you to have the same exact color/density for all shadows/reflections. This is how the color fill or color setting in brushes works only that doesn't change density, only color/tone.

I've attached an example image of where we place the registration marks and am also attaching the actual registration mark CDR file. I'm assuming this would probably be rather simple...
We'd like this registration mark to be centered to the image and placed on the top and bottom of the image at .25 inches away from the image itself. So, I would think the macro would have to select the entire image on the page, then decide where .25 inches is away from the top and bottom of the image and place the registration mark, centered in that area.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 :: Registration Marks On All Layers For Vinyl Cutting
Aug 3, 2011Using CD x4.I cut directly from Corel. Â I was trying to do a simple 2 color vinyl job. I put reg marks but they are only on one layer. I tried copying but they weren't in the same place as the other layer.
Is there a way to get the Reg Marks to appear on all layers properly ?
Photoshop :: Photoshop 6.0 - Weak Registration Marks
Nov 15, 2005I am using a plugin for Color Separation named FastFilms which produces separated (hidden/non-modifyable) color channels. When I print any channel (to an old 11x17 HP Laser 4V) using 300 DPI, the registration marks are nice and dark, but of course I lose pixel definition. When I change the print setting to 600 DPI, I get more pixels but the registration marks are much lighter and partially missing parts of all the circles.
I am using this for screenprinting and the light registrations do not expose enough to print. Eliminating the Plug-in as the problem, I created a totally new blank page and printed (same printer) in both 300 DPI and 600 DPI and (hard to understand), both prints have the lighter registration marks.
Unless I can somehow darken the registration maks (during print), it would also work if I could "unlock" the hidden Photoshop separated channels (for each color from the plugin) and copy/paste duplicate manual registration "+"s myself. Manually prepared graphics with manual registrations work fine on this printer. I am at a real impass on this. Any help, suggestions, or ideas?

Sep 28, 2013I recently was working with a few files and found that the density and feathering settings cause my files to crash when I use them as selection. Most recently, I had a raster mask at an density of 60%, and I selected that as a marquee, inverted it, and then selected a different mask and deleted it from the mask. Basically trying to isolate an area for masking. The second mask I applied was applied to a group, everything up to this point saved fine. But once I selected the mask, inverted etc. I tried to save and immediately photoshop became unresponsive and would crash. Is this a known bug? It's really frustrating, that the mask properties have lead to issues like this.

The requiment is that for grayscale images, the shadow density should be no darker than 90% and highlights should be no lighter than 3%. Dec 16, 2005i'm using PS CS and I want to fill a selection with a pattern but i'd like to simulate a light source.. so i'd like the pattern to fill with a varying density -- like stippling..or cross-hatching. i'm doing a 2-color (black and white only) t-shirt design so i can't have any gradations of colour. this may be a loaded question.. so i'm just hoping to get pointed in the right direction. if u need me to be more specific let me know.
Would illustrator be better suited for this task because i also have access to ai cs. even if not.. can someone recommend a good illustrator forum that is comparable to this mb? and maybe for Flash too.
Photoshop :: Color And Density Printing Problems...
Jul 5, 2009Have used 6 versions of Elements and then moved to CS3 2 years ago. Have printed 100's of large format images using HP Photosmart Pro 8350 and 8750 printers. Results have been excellent with CS3 set up to let printer manage color and at printer color management level the setting is colorsmart/sRGB which is HP's default for printer managing the color. Installed Design Premium last week and significant differences from monitor to preview of print image. Print test results are all too vibrant and dark-muddy.
I changed about every setting I could in both CS4 and the printer to find a match up. I wrote every single one down for reference. I then reinstalled CS3( removed when I installed Design Premium). CS3 had the same problem now ( No I have not reinstalled Design Premium yet) CS3 is removed and I am  back to square one. I know the monitor set up is perfect as I have access to a very expensive spectroradiometer and the calibration including gamma is dead on. I then experimented with bringing up an image to print using a very routine editing program named Microsoft Digital Image Suite. The preview was perfect as well as the print( on both printers using the settings listed above).
Did a lot searching on the internet for a similar problem. Found none with HP printers but did find several instances with Canon printers( too vibrant too dark) but could not find a resolution. I am really open and appreciative of any suggestions. I don't care if I have already tried them. I will try again. Oh I also reloaded the printer drivers on both printers, no improvement.

Feb 19, 2008I just upgraded to CS3 on Windows XP and every few days I am prompted to register. I registered twice and then spoke with Customer Service who could not see the registration so they manually registered me. Since then the registration screen appeared again and I registered a third time.
I just spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone going back and forth between Adobe Customer Service and Photoshop support. Customer Support wants me to return CS3 and buy it again under a different customer number. Support wants me to uninstall all Adobe products, delete the registry branch under HKLMSOFTWAREAdobe, delete all Adobe content under "Program Files" and under "Documents and Settings", create a new user account, add that new user to the Administrators group, then reinstall all Adobe products using that new user account.
I asked support where Photoshop CS3 records the registration information and was told that since CS3 is a new product, they do not have that level of technical information.
Has anyone else had a registration problem with CS3 on XP?
where the registration information is stored? If it is stored in the registry, I should be able to manually enter the keys and data.
Photoshop :: CS2 Always Asks For Registration
May 2, 2009I recently had to replace my computer. So I went with a 64 bit machine with Vista 64bit. My reinstall of CS2 went well (upgrading to a 64 bit version will have to wait but not too long I hope:-). Activation was OK; registration said it succeeded as well. But every time I start Photoshop it says I have not registered it and it asks me to do it again. I have tried to complete the form three times now and it always says it succeeded. Then the next time I start I bet the registration dialog box again. What can I do to satisfy CS2?

I tried clicking the Do Not Register button and I even reinstalled Photoshop now but that damn screen keep coming back every time I open Photoshop. Any idea how to get rid of the product registration screen.
