View 4 RepliesI'm running Windows 7 64Bit running Adobe CS5 Master Collection. But ever since I allowed CS5 Photoshop to control my printer (HP Photosmart Prem 310-C) to do a test print of a graphic that I created all of my Blues print a violet/blue color, no matter what color blue. It has even affected MS Word & MS Project when I try to print blue colored font or Gantt Chart blues will no longer print blue, but will print the same blue/violet color. I've even tried a brilliant blue which will all view great, but prints the same shade of violet blue! All my colors and Blues will view great! I've calibrated my monitor and I've reset my printer several times and still the same thing! I never had this problem before I downloaded Adobe CS5! A strange thing is that I can run check printer test and the data & image that is stored in the printer will print blues perfect, including running a copy direct from the scanner bed and it will produce perfect blues. I almost feel as though Adobe CS5 has possessed my PC and printer, how do I get it back to printing like it did before installing CS5 Master Suite?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI will submit the Black and white ad created in Photoshop to the magazine. The requiment is that for grayscale images, the shadow density should be no darker than 90% and highlights should be no lighter than 3%. I don't know how to check the percentage on the document I made. I checked HELP in Photoshop and website. But I couldn't really get answer from them. I have little knowledge of printing. Please give me advice or helpful website.

why? This doses not happen in non-Adobe programs.
for years I used Epson r1800 on printer management it usually matches the monitor image quite well I had not had any success using adobe color mgmt in the past
the images I am printing are sRGB and now they don't match at all they are too dark and cool (bluish) If I change the monitor to the match the printer then all of my files will look bad on screen changing the printer setting did not seem to change the actual prints
I understand the technique for changing colors of an object (New Adjustment level | Hue and Saturation). The question I have is I am trying to change a t-shirt color from Blue to a white color. I have used all the adjustments and cannot get close to white.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've just used the align layers feature to stitch together 4 pics into a panorama view. It looks great except the sky is different shades of blue for each of the stiched elements.
Is there an easy way of somehow merging the different blues so you end up with a consistent blue across the panoramic view?
I was mid-project when I realized my greys had mysteriously become tinted blue. I then continued messing with every color setting I could find, but nothing worked. And I'm sure it's not a display issue, because my other projects appear just fine. My whites are now (3,0,0,0), in both the document and swatches.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to take a blue color and make some monochromatic colors out of it.
1. I know how to add white/black through the brightness value in the color picker, though how do you add gray?
2. Are there some guidelines to how much white, black and gray you add to a color (in this case blue)or do you just pick any amount you like?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop cs6 extended addition and was told Photoshop would work for the research application I need but so far I am finding it very difficult to do what I want. Basically, I need to be able to measure multiple lines (the red ones in the screen shot) of an image precisely, and make sure that the lines I measure are documented so that they are actually visible (so not just with the ruler tool) on the screen and labeled.
See image for example. I need the lengths (converted with the 2 micrometer scale at the bottom of the image). When I use the info, it gives me the lengths, but I can't save them, or look them up at a different time. Also, when using the line tool, then doing the "record measurement" it does not give me the length of the line but insted acts like it is a thin rectangle and gives me a height (which does not seem to be the same as if I used the measurement tool and put it next to the line, which is an idea I have, but not as accurate) and a width.
Can the image be saved with the annotations of the measure tool in PS Extended?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI open a picture with blues or try to select blue as a color, it turns into purple. No where in the program can I do anything with blue. But if I save the image using blue (which still appears to be purple) it will be blue outside of photoshop.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use it to measure angles of micrographs (images taken with a microscope) --- the angle measure tool is great, and easy to use! I would like to be able to save the angle measure "rulers" into the image, for documentation purposes. Is there a way to incorporate the angle "ruler" in a layer or overlay in the image so that I can save a new file with the ruler "burned in" (for lack of a better term).
I will also be adding the text of the resulting angle measurement --- it would be cool if the result of the angle measure could be automatically added as text to the image (preferably in a different layer than the original image). I can type it the result with the text tool.
Last week, I noticed a blue-dotted box around every image I opened with

I have an app on my iPod called "Photoshop Express", and it has the simple option of 'Tint', which will tint the image the color you want (red, green, etc.). How do you do this on normal, desktop Photoshop?
No fancy "how I like it", I want just the image to be tinted red, or green, or blue, and the image have the color info, meaning if I convert it to Black and White, you could tell a difference in lightness and darkness from the original picture (you can tell it was tinted).
how I would achieve this exact effect in Photoshop? The 2 light blue type of effects, one at the top of the image, the one at the bottom of the image. It isn't just regular lighting, as it uses a totally different light blue color. I don't know how to achieve this effect
View 9 Replies View RelatedHave great pic of Christ Of The Andes. Huge statue in foreground (gray color), and all white sky in background because of overcast day. I want to change the sky color from white to blue. Formerly, in Elements 4, I could do it easily with the Magic Wand tool. I recently upgraded to Elements 11 and, to my shock, find there is no Magic Wand tool. I am running Windows 7. I tried the Brush tool and, while it selects the correct area, I can't get it to insert the blue color. It is not a choice of color offered. Only gray. I also tried via a new layer, but could not get that to work either.
