I open a picture with blues or try to select blue as a color, it turns into purple. No where in the program can I do anything with blue. But if I save the image using blue (which still appears to be purple) it will be blue outside of photoshop.
View 8 RepliesI'm running Windows 7 64Bit running Adobe CS5 Master Collection. But ever since I allowed CS5 Photoshop to control my printer (HP Photosmart Prem 310-C) to do a test print of a graphic that I created all of my Blues print a violet/blue color, no matter what color blue. It has even affected MS Word & MS Project when I try to print blue colored font or Gantt Chart blues will no longer print blue, but will print the same blue/violet color. I've even tried a brilliant blue which will all view great, but prints the same shade of violet blue! All my colors and Blues will view great! I've calibrated my monitor and I've reset my printer several times and still the same thing! I never had this problem before I downloaded Adobe CS5! A strange thing is that I can run check printer test and the data & image that is stored in the printer will print blues perfect, including running a copy direct from the scanner bed and it will produce perfect blues. I almost feel as though Adobe CS5 has possessed my PC and printer, how do I get it back to printing like it did before installing CS5 Master Suite?

for years I used Epson r1800 on printer management it usually matches the monitor image quite well I had not had any success using adobe color mgmt in the past
the images I am printing are sRGB and now they don't match at all they are too dark and cool (bluish) If I change the monitor to the match the printer then all of my files will look bad on screen changing the printer setting did not seem to change the actual prints
I understand the technique for changing colors of an object (New Adjustment level | Hue and Saturation). The question I have is I am trying to change a t-shirt color from Blue to a white color. I have used all the adjustments and cannot get close to white.

Is there an easy way of somehow merging the different blues so you end up with a consistent blue across the panoramic view?

The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine.All licences were validated so no problems there.Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket.But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
The colors of pictures is much darker when working in photoshop than when I open it normally. And vice versa, I work on images inside photoshop, and I get the colors I want, but once I save it to bmp or jpg or anything else, all the colors are much lighter.

I have been noticing that photos in magazines lately have a certain look where it seems like cross processed film, but different. The photos have a blue cast and kind of look like when they shoot scenes during the day but process it to look like night. I'm wondering if there is a filter or process in Photoshop that does this? I don't want anything complicated because I have quite a few photos.
When red eye is the problem, the red eye tool works well, but when the flash has resulted in blue eyes, I have more of a problem corrected. I usually wind up using the stamp tool to copy darker areas.
It has been suggested to me before to use the replace color adjustment, but this doesn't limit to the area of the eyes I have selected, but highlights areas all over the image.
Also if I use the wand tool and paint or bucket another color the effect is not smooth as with the red eye tool. This is CS6

I've had this problem before... where I go to hit a keyboard shortcut and end up in some sort of gray scale mode. I'm not actually in "gray scale" though; I'm still in RGB mode but the image title bar says "blue/8".
I've tried everything I can think of, but now many of my options have been grayed out and I can't select certain menu functions. There was an easy fix with CS4 I found online, but I don't remember what it was and this seems different.
When I try to use the liquify tool on a layer that I'm working on, it only shows the layer in this blueish color and I can't see what I'm doing until I hit the "ok" button.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an issue where in Photoshop, opening a menu and clicking on something like, File > New or any other option, will leave a blue shadow on my screen, of that menu item. It persists over every program until I restart the computer, even if Photoshop has been closed. This has only happened in the last week.
Is this an issue with Photoshop, or is it my computer?
