i always use corel for designing an advertorial matter, but there's always something that bothering me when i get the print results.. why does the colors especially blue and green always looks so dark, infact, they became brown and purple..

the images I am printing are sRGB and now they don't match at all they are too dark and cool (bluish) If I change the monitor to the match the printer then all of my files will look bad on screen changing the printer setting did not seem to change the actual prints
Why is it that when I import an RGB image, when I convert it to CMYK this same image darkens significantly? Is there an option I can check somewhere?
View 5 Replies View RelatedCDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
When I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

I have created a drop shadow on a green background.
Shadow Black value being C - 0 M - 0 Y - 0 K -100.
In the file and the hard print the shadow comes out as a reddish color. How do I get the shadow Black?
I just installed X5 and I'm opening files from ver 11. It's all opening fine, but when I click on anything, the screen flashes pale blue. When I look at a print preview - it's ALL a blue tint. Can't work with that. I'm running Windows 8.

I have Outsourced these Business cards to the same company. See attached.
One is more vibrant than the other, which were done at different dates.
The process consist of Publishing to PDF and noticing after we received them, both came out Different.
Soon after I opened both PDFs and they were different on my end.
What can I do to maximize color and make them vibrant like the one on the left?
The kind of graphics I do are used for a web site and also for printing with a Roland Versacamm wide format printer. My question is for graphics for a web site do you design in RGB colors and when you design for printing are you using CMYK colors.
Or are you using one type of color over the other for both purposes?
I'am having trouble with the color management of x5. In coreldraw11 everything works great, but in x5 the colors seem to be bleached.
How can I get the same results in X5 as I have in coreldraw11? I print with a Epson sw515,
In X6 it appears the option that X4 had (is not available) was I could right click the arrow at the top of one of my Palettes and go down to (Palette) and then there, their was an option for find color. X6 doesn't have that. Also the eye dropper is shaded so I can not use it.

When i open a file, made in X3 using one of these spot colors, with my new X5, the spot color will be replaced with turquoise. All actions are redone but not the color. The primary color of the document is CMYK. This happens only to the borders and not to the fillings.
