how I would achieve this exact effect in Photoshop? The 2 light blue type of effects, one at the top of the image, the one at the bottom of the image. It isn't just regular lighting, as it uses a totally different light blue color. I don't know how to achieve this effect

How to do this technique? You can find a planet earth image by searching for NASA BLUE MARBLE and it's free.
I'm trying to make the blue bottom portion of this wall match the top off-white portion. I try to paint over the blue with the color replacement tool, having set my brush to match the top wall, but when it overpaints the blue, I'm getting a much darker gray that doesn't match.

This only happens with PS not LR, AI or any other app I have. Also it just started last night and is continuing to be troublesome today. how to get this problem resolved. everytime i use my type, when i click on my work area, a black dot appears on page before i begin to type. then no matter what font i use, there is a black line under all my type. how can i get just the black dot from appearing at first when i click, and that annoying line under all my type to dissappear! i'm veryy new to photoshop, and i have cs.

I need to find/take photos connected to proverbs or sayings, involving light (ie: ''There is light at the end of the tunnel" and "Every cloud has a silver lining").
The photgraph can also include a form of light, or an effect added in Photoshop
If anyone could post some ideas, whether they be connected to or involving light, or some effects that I could apply after the photo has been taken.
PHOTOSHOP CS5.1 IN iMAC OS10.6 . I cannot use the filter Render - Light effects because it does not appear in the Render tag. On the other hand clicking the mouse right I can go to GET INFORMATION, but in the GENERAL SECTION , the option start with 32 bit DOES NOT APPEAR.
I owned this 5.1 version since some 18 months ago, and I am quite sure I succeeded in using the light effects in the past: What is happened and what can I do to fix the problem.
I would like each type of light to only be listed on the schedule once. The schedules seem really unstable, everytime I look at it the whole thing has changed. There are so many extra items listed and I don't know where they came from. The mark numbers are weird like AAAA, AAAAAA, BBBB, BBBBB. I don't know how these got added or why they have such strange marks.

Film Effects, Video Essentials V and Stabiliser all appear correctly in the FX Filter drop down box and when one of these is clicked on, the correct New Blue effects display.However, with Video Essentials 111 and Colorfast, whilst they display in the FX Filter drop down box, when clicked on, nothing happens, the effects do not display, they are there when selecting "ALL" so they are installed correctly, Colorfast is not really an issue because it is just one item, but with Video Essentials 111, it is necessary to search through the complete FX list to find the one I want Not sure if this is a Corel issue or a New Blue issue. Using Video Studio X5 Ultimate.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWe have made a logo with a strapline, we have to make a version with the line in a solid box with the type (which is outlined) transparent, we have done that using pathfinder, but when it's printed the type is coming out much lighter than when it's just white type in a box.
Tried setting it to overprint which made no difference. The vectors are all identical.
I saw a very neat tutorial for spotlighting a photo in PS [URL]. I tried my darnedest to translate to PSP X4. I naturally went to the the menu bar in PSP, EFFECTS> ILLUMINATION >LIGHTS...
Basically, I can get the light everywhere but the actual area I want spotlighted.
I am having trouble creating 3D text when it comes to adding the light layer effect. I write the text, create a camera, make sure the 3d button is checked, and extrude the text. Then I move the text to see the new 3d angles of the text. As I create a light layer, nothing shows up on the text. I have made sure that I am in Ray-Traced 3D mode, but nothing happens.
