i'm currently working on a design that requires a 3D rending of a logo with light shining through the type. i tried using the lighting effects in the render filter but i doesn't give the effect that the client requests. i hope i'm not being too vague. its requested that the light be seeping through the type with the letter forms just outlined.
hi, i'm working on a project and the client would like to have a logo that has light that is shining through the letter forms. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how i could go by doing this. i tried using the lighting effects in the render but it still doesn't have the effect of light that is passing through the type.
how I could achieve the effect in the attached image?
I.e. I have a blueprint drawing (dark background with thin white lines) and I want to add an effect as if the white lines were slits that light was shining through.
how I would achieve this exact effect in Photoshop? The 2 light blue type of effects, one at the top of the image, the one at the bottom of the image. It isn't just regular lighting, as it uses a totally different light blue color. I don't know how to achieve this effect
I would like each type of light to only be listed on the schedule once. The schedules seem really unstable, everytime I look at it the whole thing has changed. There are so many extra items listed and I don't know where they came from. The mark numbers are weird like AAAA, AAAAAA, BBBB, BBBBB. I don't know how these got added or why they have such strange marks.
We have made a logo with a strapline, we have to make a version with the line in a solid box with the type (which is outlined) transparent, we have done that using pathfinder, but when it's printed the type is coming out much lighter than when it's just white type in a box.
Tried setting it to overprint which made no difference. The vectors are all identical.
Might have been a great pic with the sunset in the background and some gold on the faces but that sun is just way to bright. I've tried several tricks but I am so unexperienced that every time when i'm trying to adjust it the whole image gets affected and looks screwed up. When the area is selected it becomes too visible that it was edited. how i can make that sun to shine softer and not to distract attention from the faces?
I am trying to animate a casino-like light board made of tens of light bulbs/leds. I thought the easiest way to do it would be creating a matrix of bulbs arranged by material ID and then design a pattern in multi sub-object materiel so I could somehow scrub through it and achieve animation effect. The material modifier allows to change ID for the whole object only and MaterialByElement shuffle ID`s in a random manner.
I am attempting to build a facsimilie enigma machine, I would like to know how best to create an effect so that when a key is pressed a corresponding letter appears to light up. Btw I am not looking for an animated image, I can take care of the transitions between on and off, I just need to create the two image states.
How do you lock the pivot point of a light to the light itself? I thought just adding a Axis node would move the light and pivot point but the pivot does not move. Is there a way of parenting them together?
How do I use the standard Revit can lights in a wood joist floor with drywall applied to the bottom? If I place in a suspended ceiling, can lights light up just fine. However, if I use them in the floor space of a wood joist floor, the light itself gets covered with the floor. How can I get the light to cut the floor out so I can see the light when it is rendered?
I have two objects intersecting each other on different layers. The object on the top layer I reduced the opacity for and the bottom layer which was previously hidden now is shining through. I do not want this to happen. I want the bottom layer to remain hidden beneath the top layer despite the lowered opacity. How would I accompish this simply? I have CS2.
I'm using AI CC now, but I noticed this problem in earlier versions of AI: If I want to place a one-word label on an illustration I move the type insertion cursor to a speific point on the screen image and click, but then the flashing insertion point, where the label will actually start, pops up elsewhere, usually a line or two above where the cursor was, and a pica or two to the left, forcing me to type the label, then move it into position rather than simply typing it in the right place and moving on. The problem is merely annoying, but I'd like to fix it. It's probably a matter of ignorance-I simply haven't read the right documentation, but I don't know what to call the problem. Where can I find out how to change the position of the cursor relative to the insertion point?
I want to create text on a circle path, so drew the circle, went to the "type on a path tool" and clicked on the circle. I keep getting the message "can't create type". I have tried to use the direct selection tool to select the circle first and without the direct selection.
My Type Tool does not select type by double clicking or click and drag. (Windows CS 5 V15.1). This is what I have tried so far and the problem still exists. Â Check preferences for "Text": "Select text-object by path only" should be off. Checked. It was off. Didn't fix it. Check the toggle for Show/Hide Edges in the View menu. Cmd(Ctrl)-H. Checked. Edges Showing. Didn't fix it. Trashed my Prefeerences. Didn't fix it.
the type tool won't let me insert any type whatsoever in JPG or PSD files. I click the type tool and then click somewhere on the image and all it gives me is a dot but no flashing cursor. As I said, resetting my prefs/settings while starting up Photoshop did not help. Another weird thing it does is that when I go to Canvas Size for a medium sized image, it says that the width is 588 inches and the height is 288 inches.
Working on a poster in Illustrator. Have added area type, using the type tool. Now I'd like to increase the size of one line. I can't select or edit any of the type with the type tool. I moved the type to a new layer, saved, closed Illustrator, restarted my Mac (OS X 10.7.4). Looked in preferences, in case there's an issue there. No luck. Â By the way, I also don't see handles when in the selection tool any more. Don't know if that's related.
I have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer. Â I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.
I choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.Â
by download I received CS6 (download version, not by disk).after installation I tryed in a photo to put an object into a spotlight.in the menu filter, rendering you can activate clouds etc, also lighteffects, but in my version the tab lighteffects is coloured in grey (not active)how can I get this thing started?
A long long time ago I saw a tutorial on a site that has disappeared it was called 'Ray of Light 2' on www.fundy.net. Now I have gone looking for the tutorial again and cannot find it anywhere unfortunately.
So on that note I was wondering if anybody knew of some good techniques or tutorial to create a light burst behind text/shapes. Now being the awkward git that I am heehee, I am looking for something as realistic as possible.
how are these things done? Those pretty rays of super bright light behind an object. Been looking for tute but cant find something that can explain step by step.
