Mar 12, 2013Whenever I use a tool (select, crop, highlight, resizing an image) in CS6, the image flickers. Not my entire screen, but just the background of CS6 and the image. It flickers like a strobe light and makes it very distracting to try and crop, select, do anything in CS6. It's clearly a CS6 problem and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but it continues to flicker.

Feb 14, 2011I am trying to animate a casino-like light board made of tens of light bulbs/leds. I thought the easiest way to do it would be creating a matrix of bulbs arranged by material ID and then design a pattern in multi sub-object materiel so I could somehow scrub through it and achieve animation effect. The material modifier allows to change ID for the whole object only and MaterialByElement shuffle ID`s in a random manner.

Apr 7, 2011I am attempting to build a facsimilie enigma machine, I would like to know how best to create an effect so that when a key is pressed a corresponding letter appears to light up. Btw I am not looking for an animated image, I can take care of the transitions between on and off, I just need to create the two image states.

May 2, 2012I have a light-colored image that I want to make a transparent background of without having any of the jagged white edges and whatnot, to make a signature and avatar and so on. I've tried the magic wand, Alpha Mask, and Alpha Space, none of which have succeeded. As I said, the image itself is very light (the attached image), so it's difficult to achieve what I'm trying to do.

However, if I use them in the floor space of a wood joist floor, the light itself gets covered with the floor. How can I get the light to cut the floor out so I can see the light when it is rendered?

Anyway here's the thing i created but i got a little problem, the light source on the green part( as u see i tried to do something), i cant get it right, i want it as it would be shiny.BUT i cant get it to my mind where it should be (to right,left,up and down?) i made it with pen path and the colored it white and then reduced the opacity,if there is another way to get it ,tell me that too, but at least i would be very grateful if someone could tell me where it should be,coz i aint got an "eye" to see where it should come(maybe u would have to be more of an artsit than me to see it )

May 2, 2008I'm trying to add a little accent light to my background to improve the separation between the background and the model. I tried using the render spotlight tool which added the light where I wanted it but it turned the rest of the background black. Is there a way to add light to the areas of the layer without changeing the rest of the layer?
