View 2 RepliesI will submit the Black and white ad created in Photoshop to the magazine. The requiment is that for grayscale images, the shadow density should be no darker than 90% and highlights should be no lighter than 3%. I don't know how to check the percentage on the document I made. I checked HELP in Photoshop and website. But I couldn't really get answer from them. I have little knowledge of printing. Please give me advice or helpful website.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I measure the density of Red and Blue colors of an image?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently was working with a few files and found that the density and feathering settings cause my files to crash when I use them as selection. Most recently, I had a raster mask at an density of 60%, and I selected that as a marquee, inverted it, and then selected a different mask and deleted it from the mask. Basically trying to isolate an area for masking. The second mask I applied was applied to a group, everything up to this point saved fine. But once I selected the mask, inverted etc. I tried to save and immediately photoshop became unresponsive and would crash. Is this a known bug? It's really frustrating, that the mask properties have lead to issues like this.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to increase / decrease the mesh density of a 3D model in Photoshop CS6 for export? I've searched within PS and on the web, and I'm not finding any way to do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Capture One 6.3.4, my backgrounds read 253-255. When I open the RAW file in Camera RAW 7.1, the background reads 241-245. Profile is the same (Adobe RGB).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to find a brush option for using a brush to change the density of an existing density to a preset density in the same way color fil is used to fill a tone. An example of the use would be...a shadow or reflection on a 255 white background; when the brush with the color or shade is used to paint over the background, it fills only the shadow/reflection in with the preset density. Thus allowing you to have the same exact color/density for all shadows/reflections. This is how the color fill or color setting in brushes works only that doesn't change density, only color/tone.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm using PS CS and I want to fill a selection with a pattern but i'd like to simulate a light source.. so i'd like the pattern to fill with a varying density -- like stippling..or cross-hatching. i'm doing a 2-color (black and white only) t-shirt design so i can't have any gradations of colour. this may be a loaded question.. so i'm just hoping to get pointed in the right direction. if u need me to be more specific let me know.
Would illustrator be better suited for this task because i also have access to ai cs. even if not.. can someone recommend a good illustrator forum that is comparable to this mb? and maybe for Flash too.
Have used 6 versions of Elements and then moved to CS3 2 years ago. Have printed 100's of large format images using HP Photosmart Pro 8350 and 8750 printers. Results have been excellent with CS3 set up to let printer manage color and at printer color management level the setting is colorsmart/sRGB which is HP's default for printer managing the color. Installed Design Premium last week and significant differences from monitor to preview of print image. Print test results are all too vibrant and dark-muddy.
I changed about every setting I could in both CS4 and the printer to find a match up. I wrote every single one down for reference. I then reinstalled CS3( removed when I installed Design Premium). CS3 had the same problem now ( No I have not reinstalled Design Premium yet) CS3 is removed and I am  back to square one. I know the monitor set up is perfect as I have access to a very expensive spectroradiometer and the calibration including gamma is dead on. I then experimented with bringing up an image to print using a very routine editing program named Microsoft Digital Image Suite. The preview was perfect as well as the print( on both printers using the settings listed above).
Did a lot searching on the internet for a similar problem. Found none with HP printers but did find several instances with Canon printers( too vibrant too dark) but could not find a resolution. I am really open and appreciative of any suggestions. I don't care if I have already tried them. I will try again. Oh I also reloaded the printer drivers on both printers, no improvement.
When I load up the neutral density gradient maps, the bar shows the correct color gradient, but the layer is showing all black.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt is possible to adjust in Photoshop the size and density of a tool when using shorcuts (ALT + right-click and various mouvement of the mouse or stylus).
Is there anything similar in LR5 to avoid permanent back and forth to the menu.
it crashes all the time. Currently, my issue is on my laptop. I have deadlines and it crashes at least 5-10 times per hour. Nearly every time I try to "save as" it will crash. This isn't specific to one file. The same crash happens when I try to open new files many times.
This also isn't just in Photoshop. It happens in In-Design, Illustrator, and Premiere as well. I'm sure if I was working on projects in the other CC programs, the same would happen. WHAT HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS? There is never an error message.
What can I do to get this fixed?
How do I load my CS3 applications? This is the screen I get when I try to load my CS3 applications right after I have downloaded and activated the product. I do not know how to fix this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe crashing started with the Retina update for Photoshop and Illustrator. At first the occasional crash happend, but now it's doing it litreally every 2 minutes! I don't think its a problem with my system since the issue started as soon as I got the Retina update and I've had no issues prior. I have the 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, Retina Macbook Pro with OS X version 10.8.2. I'm not sure if all of the Adobe applications are affected, but I know Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are.
This is part of the "Problem Details" window that popped up after crashing:

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnything edited in photoshop appears different when viewed in another application. For example, I edit a photo in CS3, and then view it in Firefox - it is muted, the colors are drab examples of the bright hues displayed in Photoshop. If I bring anything done in photoshop into The Gimp, Polyview, or anything else I can think of, they all look identical in those other apps, they only appear different when compared against what an image looks like in Photoshop. I first noticed when uploading an image to Flickr, it looked great in Photoshop, and dramatically drab when uploaded. I then started doing some investigative work and discovered the system wide behavior. I'm a little stumped. Similarly, anything created in Gimp brought into CS3 looks different, it appears darker in CS3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using PSE 10 for a while on my OX S Mac. Processor 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo, Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, software 10.8.2.
It was not slow before but know it freezes up so much that it becomes nearly inoperable. I checked my memory and I have plenty of space. I shut down all the other applications. I boosted up the amount of RAM PSE can use. I decreased the amount of undo states PSE can keep. But even with all that, it still was slow. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix the problem either.
I can cut and paste within Photoshop CC, but can't paste to Illustrator CC or Word; clipboard appears to be empty. Everything works fine with PS CS6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy color settings are synchronized across all CS applications. I'm trying to see document both as a soft proof and not. Neither mode improves the color differences I'm seeing on screen. Photoshop displays color TOTALLY differently from all other CS applications: Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat.
In the image below, Indesign is on the left. Photoshop is on the right. Image appears in Bridge, Acrobat and Illustrator just like InDesign.
I am trying to work with my previous Photoshop files I created last night on CS5.5 and Suitcase Fusion 4. All my loaded and active fonts are not active in Photoshop. How do i get my fonts to be activated in my adobe applications?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC on my laptop. I customized all my settings like keyboard shortcuts, tool panels, brushes and so on. However, now I'm trying to sync with my desktop computer and everytime it asks me if I want to keep local or remote settings, I choose, as indicated by your tutorial video, "keep remote" settings. But it not only doesn't work, as also replaces my settings in the cloud with the ones from the computer I'm trying to sync (which are the default settings.)
I also tried to find this feature for Indesign CC, but I could find.
I need to create some "generic" backgrounds to be used in other applications (InDesign, Illustrator) that can be specified to certain CMYK percentages.
In Photoshop, I create a file in RGB and using the default B&W, render clouds. Then I use various filters and create the backgrounds I want. I convert these backgrounds to CMYK.
What I need to do is make the (converted RGB) "black" backgrounds to be specific CMYK percentages. I have tried to create an adjustment layer and then using selective color, but it's not accurate at all.
I try to run my CS 2 on my new macbook (OS 10.8.3) but is says " PowerPc applications are no longer supported".

im stuck on an assignment, below are the instructions.
Row 2: Use L_15:red
- Starting with the right side of row 2, connect midpoints of the cell with a line to form a rotated square dimond (which i did)
- Next offset each visible line segment 8' ft. in all directions till all areas are filled with the pattern trimming and filleting as requred to define each as in row 1.
- The next square in the row, sub-divide the inner square by drawing lines from the midpoints to form an inner sqare, the offset 4'ft. in each direction maintaing the new areas created and fill as before to define the areas. Remember to use the same logic as in row 1, fill all areas defined by red line boundaries.
- the next square in the row sub-divide the inner aware by drawing lines from midpoints to form another inner diamond, then offset 2' ft in each direction as in previous operations.
- continue this logic of sub-division and density till you finish the second row.
- when you finish you should have a row of 5 squares movies from tighter density to lighter density of lines from left to right.
i got past the 2nd cell, sort of stuck on the 3rd, 4th, 5th (going from right to left) how the next three cells would look like (on the second column)
I have some files that were originally edited in LR3. They appear in my LR5 library, but with the old LR3 density tools (i.e. 'fill light' and 'highlght rescue'). How to I switch to the LR5 density mode (i.e. 'shadows' and 'highlights')?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed CS3 and there is a lot of 'junk' that I don't want and don't need.
eg; Bridge, Device Central, Cue and Acrobat Connect.
For my basic needs, all I really want is PhotoShop and Acrobat (and maybe Illustrator.)
This other 'bloat' takes up valuable disk space.
If I just deleted the abovementioned stuff, would that effect my remaining programs?
Updated Windows. Disabled antivirus. Quit all other applications. Error 1935 - an error occured during the installation of assembly component. When the installation process rolls back it deletes the DVD drive as well!!! Seems it is impossible to install this program? No matter whatI do, error 1935 every time.
