I am trying to work with my previous Photoshop files I created last night on CS5.5 and Suitcase Fusion 4. All my loaded and active fonts are not active in Photoshop. How do i get my fonts to be activated in my adobe applications?
View 8 RepliesThe crashing started with the Retina update for Photoshop and Illustrator. At first the occasional crash happend, but now it's doing it litreally every 2 minutes! I don't think its a problem with my system since the issue started as soon as I got the Retina update and I've had no issues prior. I have the 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, Retina Macbook Pro with OS X version 10.8.2. I'm not sure if all of the Adobe applications are affected, but I know Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are.

A client really likes a font and wants me to incorporate it into her logo. I installed the font and it's working in Pages and other programs, but not in Adobe CS6 applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). I installed a ttf and an otf version of the font but neither work. I installed & validated the font with Font Book. I've tried a lot of the fixes I've seen on these forums but nothing's worked. I've restarted my computer a few times too.

When connect to the server via a normal RDP interface the connection UI is displayed correctly. The Other Adobe CS3 MC application work fine in either connection method.

I have logged a call with MS and we have tried a varierty of RDS Fixes however we do seem pointing to a illustrator issue over a RDS issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince applying the latest Microsoft updates to XP/SP3 last week I can now no longer add Open Type 1 or Type 1 fonts to Fonts in Windows, and therefore can't add more fonts for use in Photoshop CS3. I tried a new hard drive, reloaded with XP/SP3 plus updates and the exact same thing occurs. Any of those types of fonts I try to add come up as corrupt/can't load, when in fact they are not corrupt and the exact same font files load with no problem in another XP/SP3 machine that hasn't had the updates applied, and they also load without a hitch in a Vista machine. Anyone else, who has all the updates installed noticing this? Anyone have a solution? I know that this isn't exactly 100% related to Photoshop only, but it does affect the program.

First of all, is this C:PSFONTS and C:PSFONTSPFM the correct location for Adobe fonts under Windows Vista? I just installed about four Adobe post script fonts using Type Manager and it does not show up any of Adobe's product including Photoshop and LiveCycle. I also went back into Adobe Type Manager and look at the fonts that I just installed under the Fonts tab and I could not find it.

I have the Adobe Font Folio (Open Type) but I don't know where to start. I do a lot of small ads and so I use a lot of small type.
Does anyone know which fonts in this pack are good for small type? Maybe something thick that will look better at a smaller font size.
I've tried going through the fonts by highlighting the font name in the box and using the arrow keys to rifle through them, but as you know, it highlights what's on the page, making it near to impossible to see how the font would actually look if it weren't highlighted.

I have some tamil fount installed. When I tried to change the fount to tamil font, it does not work either. I have another font called Latha. When I changed to Latha font the character displayed in Tamil but all spelling went wrong in Tamil.

I then selected Share tab , Create Disc, Bluray (1920x 1440), added 2 other projects (.vsp), created my main menu (BD authoring), then burned into BMDV folders (to correct before burning to disc) . I then created an image file (with ImgBurn) to keep for future copies. When I play my image file (PowerDVD9), I have my main menu, start the movie, plays fine, but no "next chapter" to jump to (always come back to the beginning of the movie. Are chapter points recognized and activated in Bluray ?

View 6 Replies View Related it crashes all the time. Currently, my issue is on my laptop. I have deadlines and it crashes at least 5-10 times per hour. Nearly every time I try to "save as" it will crash. This isn't specific to one file. The same crash happens when I try to open new files many times.Â
This also isn't just in Photoshop. It happens in In-Design, Illustrator, and Premiere as well. I'm sure if I was working on projects in the other CC programs, the same would happen. WHAT HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS? There is never an error message.

How do I load my CS3 applications? This is the screen I get when I try to load my CS3 applications right after I have downloaded and activated the product. I do not know how to fix this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe model space orientation is different than the paper space orientation (I have my viewport rotated) but whenever I am working in paper space and double-click inside model space to activate the viewport, it resets/reorients the view to match the orientation in model space. It also changes the scale. If I lock the viewport and then double-click inside to activate model space it does not change.
I don't want to always have my viewports locked to work on them in paper space.
Why image looks ligth in PE and dark in Bridge SC5 and in other applications.

For example, I edit a photo in CS3, and then view it in Firefox - it is muted, the colors are drab examples of the bright hues displayed in Photoshop. If I bring anything done in photoshop into The Gimp, Polyview, or anything else I can think of, they all look identical in those other apps, they only appear different when compared against what an image looks like in Photoshop. I first noticed when uploading an image to Flickr, it looked great in Photoshop, and dramatically drab when uploaded. I then started doing some investigative work and discovered the system wide behavior. I'm a little stumped. Similarly, anything created in Gimp brought into CS3 looks different, it appears darker in CS3.

It was not slow before but know it freezes up so much that it becomes nearly inoperable. I checked my memory and I have plenty of space. I shut down all the other applications. I boosted up the amount of RAM PSE can use. I decreased the amount of undo states PSE can keep. But even with all that, it still was slow. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix the problem either.
I want to see "resent" fonts when choosing, be able to type letter to get down the list quickly, group similar fonts, etc. Maybe have a magnifying glass attached to cursor to see fonts better.... Why have this not been done?
