View 1 Replies View RelatedThe model space orientation is different than the paper space orientation (I have my viewport rotated) but whenever I am working in paper space and double-click inside model space to activate the viewport, it resets/reorients the view to match the orientation in model space. It also changes the scale. If I lock the viewport and then double-click inside to activate model space it does not change.
I don't want to always have my viewports locked to work on them in paper space.
We have recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2010 and are having an issue with our wipeouts not displaying properly when we make a pdf using DWG to PDF in AutoCAD 2013.
It seems to happen when a wipeout is in an XREF and has many points, such as if you are trying to make it circular. The wipeout does not seem to function (you can see everything behind it).
When making a pdf using adobe or just making a .plt using a printer driver it displays properly but not with the dwg to pdf. I have tinkered with the display order, the display settings, the merge control setting, etc. so far nothing has worked. I have gone into the file that is XREF'ed into my active drawing and made a pdf from there and it looks ok but not when it is XREF'ed into another drawing. I have many blocks that have "circular" wipeouts in them that are not displaying correctly.
i have a question about wipeouts. I have just upgraded to acad 2014 from 2011. Now in 2014, I can turn off wipeout frames, but if my mouse crosses over one, it highlights so I can select it. How do i turn that off? I don't want the frame to highlight unless i select it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith the new "Display but not plot" option for Wipeout, I notice that the frame shows when I pass over it and is selectable. Can the frame be off and not selectable/visible, which is how it worked for me previously?

This sets the visiblity of the farmes within the drawing to off however when plotting the frames are visible on the print.
Been a while since I have used wipeout, not sure if this is a system bug or there is some other variable I have forgotten that will set frames to not plot ?

when printing in view ports, wipeouts don't show. wipeouts are transparent.
ive tried copying the same wipeout lineweights and pasting it in new documents but have no problems there. i've tried re saving under a brand new document but still no luck. apparently it's only happening in the same 2 documents.
How can I draw a wipeout matched with a closed polyline?
in the other word, a lisp program that prompted for a closed polyline and draw a wipeout by selected polyline.
As stated, my wipeouts are working just as desired when I plot single layouts, but when I publish multiple layouts they do not work at all.
View 2 Replies View Related...still happening in 2013...any answers out there? I'm getting pretty tired of redefining blocks (sending the wipeout to the back of the draw order) after pasting them into drawings.

I recently have been having issues with running the automated Merge to HDR Pro action starting it from Bridge or Photoshop. I am trying to merge 3 RAW images into an HDR image. It loads the pictures, creates the temporary file and shows the changes that is is making as everything gets cropped and aligned.
When it finishes its work and should bring up the extra dialouge window it does not and no longer shows the file that it was creating and Photoshop has the same appearance as though it were just opened. There was never any error message displayed. The feature was working fine months ago and 3 days ago when I started doing more work with new pictures. The problem suddenly occured 1 day ago.
The files that I am merging were shot to RAW on a Canon Rebel T3i and written to a Samsung 32GB SDHC card. I have shots from a span of several days and I have the same problem with pictures taken from all 3 days. Thre are 530 RAW images total. All were run through Photomatix Pro 4.2.5 to quickly get them all merged and I wanted to go back and manually merge some of the ones that did not turn out quite right or that I wanted to play with more.
I have searched the forums and have not seen any posts with this particular problem and none of the solutions for other Merge to HDR Pro problems posted worked for me.I have run updates on Windows, Adobe, and Nvidia and all were up to date.
Adobe Specs
Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.2.4 x64
Adobe Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 Extended
Windows Specs
Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1
Intel i5-3570k quad core OC 4.3 GHz (stock 3.4 GHz)
16 GB RAM
128 GB SSD for boot drive and application instal
2 TB 7200 rpm drive for storage
Nvidia GTX560-Ti
It goes through the process, when it gets to the alignment of images portion, it starts the alignment process, and just stops working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen you XREF a drawing from another file that file is brought in along with all of its layers. Personally I do not need these layers for my access is there anyway I can combine all these to eliminate the large quantity of layers in my file? Say by layer merging. And if I do will this affect the ability of the file to revise itself?
Explanation: What I am doing is taking a bunch of engineering drawings, XREF them into my file, then creating seperate viewports for each drawing referenced in. But the key is I need these files to adjust automatically when the engineers make changes (This is done through the XREF command from what I gathered from one of my previous posts).
In AutoCAD 2014 when I try to do a Layer Merge To.. in the Layers Properties - the 'Merge selected layer(s) to...' is greyed out and can not be selected when I right click after selecting the layer(s) I want to merge.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere is a checkbox called "Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images" in File/Automate/Merge to HDR Pro..It seems to me that it does nothing. Even when I shoot with tripod and the unaligment of source images is very small, the end result is also off.
When and how should this automatic aligment work? I have Photoshop CS5.
Having a problem which is easy enough to replicate when using Merge to HDR Pro ... either directly from within CS6, from LR4 or from Bridge it is causing CS6 to stop working.
What happens is that if you are using Merge to HDR then switch to another application causing Merge to HDR to lose focus eventually it will not recover and the Cancel/OK buttons are greyed out and not available. It never recovers from there.
Typical symptoms where Merge to HDR stops working (and therefore CS6) are the following:
- Any sliders that had been adjusted prior to this happening are available to change, others are not;
- Any sliders that are greyed out can still be returned to their default value by double-clicking on the slider.
Photoshop has to be 'killed' before it can be used again. These symptoms are repeatable in the 32 bit version of CS6, the more files that are merged the quicker it happens. For example if you start with the "Photorealistic" preset and have 3 files open (opended using Camera Raw, Canon 5D mkII CR2 files therefore ProPhoto RGB; 16 bit; 5616 by 3744 (21.0MP); 300ppi) it happens withing a couple of times switching to other applications and back but with 9 files open it will happen faster.
And it also happens with AdobeRGB (8bit), ProPhotoRGB (8bit) and sRGB (8bit).Happens from both x64 and x32 systems. The environment is follows:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit, Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1
System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:10, Stepping:7 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, HyperThreading
Physical processor count: 4
Logical processor count: 8
Processor speed: 2195 MHz
Built-in memory: 8173 MB

in PS CS5 CIB Lesson 5, the HDR merge command isn't working properly with the images provided on the CD. Following the HDR merging directions in the book on page 139 and 140, the images are coming out very dark and saturated.

Ever since I installed the full Nik suite, LR4's "Merge to HDR PRO in CS5" doesn't work. When I select it, CS5 opens but the files haven't been transfered. Before installing Nik, this worked great.
I can transfer the photo's manually by selecting all of them and using Edit in ...CS5 but that is less convenient, especially because afterwords I have import the result into LR4.
I emailed the same question to Nik and they emailed back boilerplate on how to get their HDR to work.
I have a problem with Merge To HDR and also photomerge. The issue appears to have the same cause. Basically what happens is as follows:
1. Open Photoshop
2. Goto File->Automate->Merge To HDR Pro
3. Dialog box appears.
4. I select the files stored on HDD
5. Click OK
And then nothing happens... No screen appears, no progress bar, no dialog box of any kind. Photoshop continues to work fine as if I had just opened it.
The other issue is even more strange.
1. Open Photoshop
2. Open the files that I wish to merge (saved on the HDD)
2. Goto File->Automate->Merge To HDR Pro
3. Dialog box appears.
4. I select the 'Add open files' option
5. Dialog box appears telling me that the files must be saved before they can be merged.
The exact same issues occur with Photomerge as well.
I am using a 15" MacBook Pro (Early 2011) with 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD (100 GB free), 2GHz i7 processor. Currently running OSX Lion 10.7.2. My current Photoshop version is 12.0.4 and I am running it on 64 bit (although have tried in 32bit mode).

I cannot see the cutout portion in the viewport. When I render, the cutout portion is viewable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the process of cretaing an installer for a RealDWG based web application(VS2010 web setup project). The intended target environments for now will be win server 2003 and win 7. They will be fairly clean in the sense that no other autodesk or realdwg based products are installed or is planned to be installed.
The tips and techniques chapter of the RealDWG documentation have a section of how to create an installer and it says that all merge modules from the Redistrib folder should be added to the installer.
However the Redistribution requirements chapter mentions that for Shapemager functionality either a couple of merge modules should be included (for read/write support) or a couple of other merge modules should be included(read only support).
I've tried to only include the mergemodules that are listed as required but that did not work when I tried to run the deplyed app. (acdbmgd.dll missed several dependencies to other dll's that were not listed as required). When trying to include everything I get errors when doing a validation of the msi in Orca(probably originating from the shapemanager mergemodules).
I have install Civil 3D 2013.
In my 2012 release I added several parts into the pipe catalog. I would like to merge those 2012 parts into my new 2013 pipe catalog.
