View 1 Replieswhen I work on autocad I cant send my file to sketchbook, I click where it says >> "Sketchbook" - Create new Canvas<< and after that, is supposed to display a menu to set the paper size of the layout but nothing happens,
I use Autocad and Sketchbook designer 2013 and I don't know if it has something to do with my OS, I have Windows 8. because of that I thought that if I install Autocad 2014 the problem would be solved but it doesn´t even show the "sketchbook" option.
We have recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2010 and are having an issue with our wipeouts not displaying properly when we make a pdf using DWG to PDF in AutoCAD 2013.
It seems to happen when a wipeout is in an XREF and has many points, such as if you are trying to make it circular. The wipeout does not seem to function (you can see everything behind it).
When making a pdf using adobe or just making a .plt using a printer driver it displays properly but not with the dwg to pdf. I have tinkered with the display order, the display settings, the merge control setting, etc. so far nothing has worked. I have gone into the file that is XREF'ed into my active drawing and made a pdf from there and it looks ok but not when it is XREF'ed into another drawing. I have many blocks that have "circular" wipeouts in them that are not displaying correctly.
i have a question about wipeouts. I have just upgraded to acad 2014 from 2011. Now in 2014, I can turn off wipeout frames, but if my mouse crosses over one, it highlights so I can select it. How do i turn that off? I don't want the frame to highlight unless i select it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith the new "Display but not plot" option for Wipeout, I notice that the frame shows when I pass over it and is selectable. Can the frame be off and not selectable/visible, which is how it worked for me previously?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have set my wipeout frames to "off" however when I plot the drawing they are still visisble.
This sets the visiblity of the farmes within the drawing to off however when plotting the frames are visible on the print.
Been a while since I have used wipeout, not sure if this is a system bug or there is some other variable I have forgotten that will set frames to not plot ?
Autodesk Inventor Professional 2013 SP2 64-Bit Edition

when printing in view ports, wipeouts don't show. wipeouts are transparent.
ive tried copying the same wipeout lineweights and pasting it in new documents but have no problems there. i've tried re saving under a brand new document but still no luck. apparently it's only happening in the same 2 documents.
ACAD 2012 Wipeouts will work although in the PDF To DWG.pc3 settings "line merge" is activated. But with ACAD 2013 this is not the case, why?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs stated, my wipeouts are working just as desired when I plot single layouts, but when I publish multiple layouts they do not work at all.
View 2 Replies View Related...still happening in 2013...any answers out there? I'm getting pretty tired of redefining blocks (sending the wipeout to the back of the draw order) after pasting them into drawings.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I load a lisp in a dwg, it doesn't stay loaded. I have loaded THIS lsp and, for some reason, I have to go back into APPLOAD and load the lsp for it to lock the viewports. I have also installed THIS lsp, and Im having the same problem. What could the problem be for lisps not staying loaded?
Using AutoCAD 2014 v1.18.0.0
I have loaded the Express Tools as here [URL] .... says. The Express Tools appear in my menu bar like normal, but when i try to do anything with any of them —FLATTEN, for instance— autocad does not recognize any.
I am running on Windows 8, Autocad Student Version language Spanish.
I'm trying to do a dynamic block of a stretchable window frame. One that isn't a rectangle. It could be stretched from 3 corners to all directions. The fourth corner being the base point.
The frame would consist of 2 "rectangles", with a 20millimeter gap between the lines. The problem is that i haven't figured out any way to to keep the distance between the lines constant as the corners are stretched.
I have tried using variations of Polar and XY-parameters with Strecth-actions with no luck.
How is it possible to import sketchbook pro files into inventor?
I don't want to know how to do it in designer due to Autodesk not making it anymore.
I bought Sketchbook Pro a few months ago for my Android 10.1 tablet, and all was well.
Recently, I updated the tablet firmware to 4.0.4 - I don't know if that's relevant.
A few days ago I noticed that Sketchbook Pro would not load sketches form the gallery. It would pasue for maybe 10 seconds then the app would go away. No screen messages.
Sketchbook Express behaves in the same way.
UIninstalling Skewthbook Pro, renaming trhe autodesk folder, rebootnig the tablet, then re-installing does not renmove the problem, so this is something which survives all of that. Perhaps a file associations problem?
I installed apps to view the system logs, and I cam see:
EditFilepath: /mnt/sdcard/Autodesk/SketchBookPro/Sketch2017935.tiff - me trying to oipen the gallery sketch.
Screen Width: 1280 Screen Height: 752
Image <2>
onCreate
[code]...
- I have not includede log lines between these which say:
[date & time] D/Sketchbook(1170) or other 4-digit numbers
In other crashes, I see a NullPointerException from Java.
If I double-tap a sketch in the gallery, then I enter the gallery browse mode OK and can flick through the sketches.
If I upload the TIFFs to my PC< they open OK.
By manually deleting some TIFFs I did get the app to open a sketch of two briefly, but that stopped working within a minute or so, and has not worked since.
I have written to the support email given in the Market but been ignored by Autodesk.
I'd like to have a custom set of stretchable buttons as my starter set for new projects.
As shown by the attached (zoomed) screen capture, when I add a highlight line and stretch the button, the line no longer follows the rounded corner shape. I've exaggerated th highlight line for this example. The line on the Xara template button uses a solid gray line all round, which isn't useful to me. Ideally, the line would be two colors with proper transitions at the corners.
I recently installed the Building Design Suite. All installations and plugins were labeled as 'Install successful' (I have rechecked all installations for errors).
I am having trouble using the Sketchbook Plugin for AutoCAD. The 'SketchBook Designer' tab and it's content appears and works. When I create a 'New Canvas' the canvas appears on the screen, but the 'Create Canvas' tab does not sequentially appear. All of the settings do not appear and I cannot apply the canvas, hence I do not have any access to the SketchBook features.
I have a bunch of students who load tool bars and dock their command line, but as soon as they close AutoCAD and reopen, the command line is floating again and the tool bars are missing. Saving and importing a profile does not seem to work!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the WIPEOUT command to make one object that is in front of another one obscure the one behind it. I have my polyline drawn around the object in question, but I need for things to show through the object where there are holes in the object.
In my specific example, I have a tree. I need three trees in front of one another and some against a wall. I would like for the wall to show through between the branches of the tree. I would like pieces of the trees in the background to show through between the branches of the tree in the foreground. So there are multiple holes in the foreground tree because the leaves and branches are not one solid object. Is this possible?
A more simple example would be if there was an object with only one hole in it...such as a door with a window through it...could the wipeout apply to the door - but still show through the wall or scenery behind that door only where the window is.
I am having trouble using wipeout with text. I want to place text over a lineand with text on top, but when i print the line that i wipedout has printed

View 9 Replies View RelatedShowing/not showing the same wipeout drawin in Model space in different Vports?
I make a wipe out in MODEL SPACE to "clean" behind an annotative text (also switching off the edge), is it possible show this wipe out only in certain Vport with a certain scale without having "holes" in general view of the same drawing in a different Vport in paper Space?
Something like an annotative wipeout. I tryed also creating an annotative block but it's not solve the problem, it keep hidding behind the block. I'm using AutocadLT2010
Using LT 2009.
I am just using wipeout for first time, made some door blocks with it to hide wall the door is planted onto.
I find that the wipeout works fine for the area within the wipeout, but does not work well at the wipeout's perimeter.
I have messed with draw order, frame on/off, line weight, and am not able to get wipeout to hide correctly at it's perimeter.
In print preview it looks fine. Printing pdf with Acrobat leaves a line. Printing to HP laser prints line that is supposed to be hidden.
You can see the pdf attached. Zoom in and you will see the line. The hatch and inner lines are all hidden just fine.
I am currently looking for a tool like the 'WIPEOUT' tool. the main difference being that i would like to wipe just 1 1or 2 layers, so that the other layers still show.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing & when I pan I can see a lot of extra information hidden by wipeouts.
Any easy way to erase all of that & leave what I can see, without panning, intact?
When I try to copyclip what I can see it grabs everything including the hidden objects.
Unfortunately whoever did the drawing didn't put all the hidden info on one layer.
I'm trying to use the _Wipeout_Circle block that ships with the straight-out-of-the-box NCS template (Civil 3D 2013 and Civil 3D 2014) to create a PI marker point in which the alignment is wiped out at the PI points. As you can see, the block itself works fine, but once used as a marker point it doesn't:
Here are the settings I'm using (again, this can be recreated straight from the NCS template):
I am working with a situation that requires me to block some lines underneath some text, and can't use a background mask because the text is located within a block. I tried to use wipeout, but I don't want the boundries of the wipeout to plot. Is there a way to set the boundries to not plot? I have tried changing the color of my wipeout object to 255, but for some reason I was unable to get that to work (I think that has to do with how my company uses plot styles to handle colors).
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to place a wipeout behind the station value for an alignment label?
I want it to look like:
---------------------------- 3+00 -------------------------
So i just moved the station with the Y offset variable but now need to get rid of the alignment where the label is.
Is there a printer setting i need to select so that a wipeout i create is applied to the print? It looks like it is hidden on the screen but when it prints out it is not hidden
