When I load a lisp in a dwg, it doesn't stay loaded. I have loaded THIS lsp and, for some reason, I have to go back into APPLOAD and load the lsp for it to lock the viewports. I have also installed THIS lsp, and Im having the same problem. What could the problem be for lisps not staying loaded?

AutoCAD 2014 isn't loading lisp routines when put in the start up suite.
They are loaded from a trusted location.
It is a while ago since I used Inventor, so i'm now just practising a bit to get the hang of it.
As a start a cable stayed bridge looked fun. So I made the towers and the roaddeck. But now comes the tricky part, and that are the cables themselves. When I started I just thought I could use the 3D sketsh feature. But as it turns out, that feature is not available in the Assembley environment. I could just make the cables as a Part and then insert them in the assembley, but that is to much work. As you can see from the pictures below the holes I made in the towers to accomodate the cables do not line up with the edge of the roaddeck on which I want to secure them. So the cables make to much angles for me to make the as a part. And besides that, I just think it could be done more easily.
Below you can see the images I made of the bridge so far. The first one is an overall image, the second one shows the tower with the holes (if the holes won't work, I can always make something else), and the third image shows the area on which the cables will be attached to the roaddeck.
Can this be done in the Assembley environment?
Note: I planned this to be a cable stayed bridge, not a suspension bridge. But tips to make this into a susension bridge are welcome as well.
For the record: I'm using Inventor 2012
Having this problem with 2 lisp routines, i have autocad set up to load a certain profile. but every time I start autocad, i have to reload the 2 lisp routines thru appload.

I have a bunch of students who load tool bars and dock their command line, but as soon as they close AutoCAD and reopen, the command line is floating again and the tool bars are missing. Saving and importing a profile does not seem to work!

I already have a program where i take the part and export it to the idw, but on my program i must identify the path of the part. How to use the part that it's already loaded on inventor? When you create a new idw, if you've an opened part it automatically loads on the base view. I'd like to do the same.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a question about etransmitting. I etransmitted a file, including the font files, as a zip file. I extracted the files and opened the dwg file. The zip file contains the shx file I need, but it is not loaded in my drawing. I was under the impression that extracting an etransmitted zip file automatically loaded the font files into the drawing. Is this wrong? Does the recipient of the etransmitted file have to add the path of the font shx file in Options?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI never do any in depth changes to my cui. It won't load ribbons or panels because it claims that my cui file is removed, renamed, or missing. It is not, I can specify it in the AutoCAD options (the second picture link). But when I type in cui, It gives me the error message (the first picture link). I've restarted and it does nothing. I've verified that the acad.cuix file is there... and it is (aka not removed, renamed, or missing so the error is bogus) The only strange thing I found though was that when I do a cui load, I can browse to the file, select it, but when I click to load, nothing happens. No hourglass cursor, no hiccup, not anything. If I repeat the same process with a different cui file, it works as it should. URLs...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working in a drawing that was my coworkers baby, but she went on vacation. It has a font style called "HOLLOW" that references a font name called "SWISS742C.shx". That .shx file was not in any of my Support File Search Path directories, so I found the folder that contained that .shx file on our network drive and referenced it in Options > Files > Support File Search Path. Everything I googled said that is what I should do.
However, the "SWISS742C.shx" file still does not show up in my styles dialog box under font name. I have regened, quit autocad and reopened, and I cannot find it.
One of our AutoCAD drawings circa 1990 on only one of our machines (our newest, 64-bit, Win 7, see more specs in attachment) opened only partially in ACAD 2008. If saved in this state, the drawing permanently loses whatever information was not loaded, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a display issue. All of our other machines are much, much older, running Windows XP Prof, none of them have exhibited this phenomenon. It happened regardless of whether the file was on the hard drive or on the server. Any way to fix this so that 2008 works correctly on this machine with all drawings. BTW, this did not happen with two drawings dated 1989.

I have a strange problem with some xrefs and I don't know why it is suddenly happening on a few of my drawings.
The xrefs have been successfully loaded in my drawings with no issues until now.
I have an xref that is loaded as an overlay, in the xref manager it is there yet in the drawing it is invisible.
Yet if I click in some blank space on where the xref should be it appears visible and then disappears as soon as I escape!
I know it's loaded - its just as if it's loaded behind everything else and it makes the geometry in the drawing all jagged and out of sorts ?!
I've tried bring to front command and detaching and reloading it but to no avail.

Did Autodesk install a virus that deletes the Ribbon after a predefined number of uses? It doesn't make any difference which workspace is invoked it is not there. In Document it is just completely gone and typing ribbon at the command line brings up the "This Ribbon..." as is the case in all the other workspaces. How does this happen?

acvba.arx is loaded but no projects (vbaman is empty)
Time to Explode about 3 seconds.When I open the Visual Basic Editor and closs it directly, an empty project is made (ACADProject in vbaman).
Time to Explode now: about 11 seconds ! After unloading ACADProject in vbaman the time to Explode is 3 seconds again.
Without acvba.arx loaded, time to Explode: directly ! ! ! (0,3 seconds) ! !

My Ribbon is blank and says, "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded."
I have tried "reseting" my CUI acad.cuix file and restoring it and it won't work -- I heard that was the golden ticket to my problem; however, my ribbon still says it doesn't have tabs or panels loaded...I've tried restarting AutoCad and then reseting my main cuix file as well.
I know Autocad can be set to always save to a particular version number, but can it be set so it always saves back to whichever format the drawing loaded was originally? If I load a 2004, it saves as 2004. If I load 2007, it saves as 2007, etc?

When I loaded AutoCad, it gave me a message where my ribbon was that "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded." I was able to fix this with the WSCURRENT command, but when I switch to the "Task-based Geospatial" or the Tool-based Geospatial" module, I cannot get the Ribbon back.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to plot drawings to PDF's using publish. My problem is that when I have my sheet files loaded in the publish window, only some of them have the desired plot styles, I can't understand why this is.
I will go into a little more detail, when you select the page setup drop down menu and you are able choose the plot style you desire, various drawings don't have all of the options.
I am fully aware that you can just move a drawing that has the plot style to the top, select all of the drawings at once and you change them all but this is only a temporary solution.
Every time I attempt to open a drawing in Civil 3D (r2012) I receive a message stating "The configured Heidi Driver cannot be loaded."
