Is it possible to find from which linetype file(acad.lin or acadiso.lin) , the existing linetype definitions (CENTER2) are loaded to the current drawing.
We have drawings, some of the linetype definitions are loaded from acad.lin.
I am working in a drawing that was my coworkers baby, but she went on vacation. It has a font style called "HOLLOW" that references a font name called "SWISS742C.shx". That .shx file was not in any of my Support File Search Path directories, so I found the folder that contained that .shx file on our network drive and referenced it in Options > Files > Support File Search Path. Everything I googled said that is what I should do.
However, the "SWISS742C.shx" file still does not show up in my styles dialog box under font name. I have regened, quit autocad and reopened, and I cannot find it.
When a new Civil3D file is created, there are some blocks available for insertion when I type "Insert". So these are the preloaded blocks defined by Civil3D. I was wondering if I can define my own blocks and have them automatically loaded when creating a new file?
We have a Custom CUI Enterprise file that we load in the profile settings (AutoCAD 2008). I transferred it though the CUI Editor and saved it for AutoCAD 2012. When I load it into AutoCAD 2012, the pull down custom pull down menu does not show, with or without the menu bar turned on. I have some partial CUI files that I did the same way. When I load them, and list them in the Main CUI file as such, they show up as expected. I even tried to list the Custom CUI Enterprise file in the same manor, but I get a "read only" type message and it still doesn't show the pull down.
I also thought about transferring it to another CUI file to partial load and not have a Custom CUI Enterprise file.
How to compile a "master" .shp file that would include the coding for all of my shape files for custom linetypes. I did this years ago for a specific set of linetypes but I can not remember how I did it.
I know ACAD has the linetype.shp file that includes coding for ACAD supplied custom linetypes.
I think I remember inserting all of the shapes into a drawing and somehow compiling the *.shp file. Is that how it is done?
I loaded a linetype (.lin file) in ACAD 2010 and it came out wrong. I would like to permanently remove it from ACAD(where it cant be seen when you go to load another type of line), how do you do that?
I've got a linetype that's part of our autocad template file and has been for so long that nobody around here even knows where the original line file is.
I need to extract the linetype out so that I can make some minor modifications. I did do a search and found a nifty lsp routine from Paul Turvill. (Here's the thread that pointed me there: [URL] ..........
I ran it and it SEEMED to work. All the linetypes in the file it created look good EXCEPT for the one I needed to extract. That one looks like this in the line file:
*TREELINE,Series of arcs used to indicate tree drip lines A,0.0001,-0.0001,
The linetype DOES display properly in the dwg file (meaning lines drawn using it look good).
“Linetype” file” and “measurement” value are not listed in the properties pane..I’m wondering why the AutoCAD
doesn’t show the “linetype” file (acad.lin/acadiso.lin) from which a particular linetype is takendoesn’t show the “measurement” value (0 or 1) when a particular object is drawn Why these properties are not set on the property pane?
The version that came with X4 worked in XP, but when I upgraded to Windows 7 it wouldn't install Type 1 fonts, and it wouldn't install any missing fonts when a file loaded. I buy Font Expert, though I never got it to work as well as the old FN.
But my new (trial) version of X5 has a version of the utility (v. 6.0.0, build 108) that seems to work just fine both ways. Thats a wonderful. When did this happen? There's a noticeable difference in the versions, according to xplorer2. X4's version:
and X5's:
I can no longer load X4's version; only v. 6.0.0 comes up, so I can't compare. But FN now works properly in X4, too, so Corel must have done something to address this. Cool.
What the maximum size xml file one can use when making data driven graphics in Illustrator?
I can successfully batch when I load a single variable library with about 100 datasets at one time but anything much larger than that in the same xml format gives me a “the incoming variable library is invalid” error. Elsewhere on this discussion forum I have seen answers say there is no limit to the size of the XML file. [URL]..... But my experience with Illustrator CS5 says otherwise.
1. If there is a maximum size either in file size, number of datasets, or number of variables/values, what the limit is. 2. I still need to create thousands of the final document I am creating - if the limit is close to 100 and I need to create many thousands - scripting or other methods to get this done?
I have created a dll using vb.net and i am performing some validations in middle. If version is mismatching in program and database, i need to exit the application. How to exit the application and stop the command functionality?
I'm working on a program where i'd like to take an assembly, open a part of it, and through a macro automatically export that part to an IDW. I already have a program where i take the part and export it to the idw, but on my program i must identify the path of the part. How to use the part that it's already loaded on inventor? When you create a new idw, if you've an opened part it automatically loads on the base view. I'd like to do the same.
I have the express tools loaded and it shows in Autocad. But when I try to use a command it says unknown command. I have tried unloading and loading the express tools many times but the commands in express tools aren't working.
I have a question about etransmitting. I etransmitted a file, including the font files, as a zip file. I extracted the files and opened the dwg file. The zip file contains the shx file I need, but it is not loaded in my drawing. I was under the impression that extracting an etransmitted zip file automatically loaded the font files into the drawing. Is this wrong? Does the recipient of the etransmitted file have to add the path of the font shx file in Options?
I accidentally deleted my menuload ACADLT.cuix and my AUTODESKSEEK.cuix i found and reloaded them and now my Ribbon is gone. If if type ribbon in the command line "The Ribbon does not habe any tabs or panels currently loaded." appears.
I was installing my Express tools & somehow hit the unload button by mistake, now when i type Ribbon..It says no tabs or palets loaded.Which file do i have to Upload ?
When I load a lisp in a dwg, it doesn't stay loaded. I have loaded THIS lsp and, for some reason, I have to go back into APPLOAD and load the lsp for it to lock the viewports. I have also installed THIS lsp, and Im having the same problem. What could the problem be for lisps not staying loaded?
I never do any in depth changes to my cui. It won't load ribbons or panels because it claims that my cui file is removed, renamed, or missing. It is not, I can specify it in the AutoCAD options (the second picture link). But when I type in cui, It gives me the error message (the first picture link). I've restarted and it does nothing. I've verified that the acad.cuix file is there... and it is (aka not removed, renamed, or missing so the error is bogus) The only strange thing I found though was that when I do a cui load, I can browse to the file, select it, but when I click to load, nothing happens. No hourglass cursor, no hiccup, not anything. If I repeat the same process with a different cui file, it works as it should. URLs...
One of our AutoCAD drawings circa 1990 on only one of our machines (our newest, 64-bit, Win 7, see more specs in attachment) opened only partially in ACAD 2008. If saved in this state, the drawing permanently loses whatever information was not loaded, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a display issue. All of our other machines are much, much older, running Windows XP Prof, none of them have exhibited this phenomenon. It happened regardless of whether the file was on the hard drive or on the server. Any way to fix this so that 2008 works correctly on this machine with all drawings. BTW, this did not happen with two drawings dated 1989.
when i load autocad it says "The ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded"
ive tried everything i can find and cant make anything show up there. im on page 4 of 800 in my AutoCad book and it doesnt say what to do if nothing is there in the way of tools to use.. how can i make my toolbars appear? ive tried typing "ribbon" but nothing...
As a part of an other recent topic (Interop 32/64 COM - Acad Mechanical),In VB.NET, how can I easily be sure to be in a Mechanical AutoCAD with every specific interfaces loaded (SymBBAuto, AcadmAuto...)?
I tried to get specific system variable like "AMVER" but this does not work.
I tried a "Try... Catch" while using "GetInterfaceObject", but this does not work at any time... sometimes I got fatal errors.I don't want to use the caption of the AutoCAD window, it is not enough reliable for me.
"This Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded."
It was there yesterday until I quit ACA, where did it go?
Did Autodesk install a virus that deletes the Ribbon after a predefined number of uses? It doesn't make any difference which workspace is invoked it is not there. In Document it is just completely gone and typing ribbon at the command line brings up the "This Ribbon..." as is the case in all the other workspaces. How does this happen?
My Ribbon is blank and says, "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded."
I have tried "reseting" my CUI acad.cuix file and restoring it and it won't work -- I heard that was the golden ticket to my problem; however, my ribbon still says it doesn't have tabs or panels loaded...I've tried restarting AutoCad and then reseting my main cuix file as well.
